I laugh whenever someone from the South South comes on the internet to cast aspersions on Igbos and IPOB for attempting to "force" them into Biafran struggle. Believe you me, Igbos do not need the South South to survive. Apart from the sea in their region, what else do they have that Igbos do not have? Realistically, Igbos can build CARGO Airports in all the local government areas of Igbo land. Our dear South South neighbours, please go ahead and remain in Nigeria as you so wish. However, do not come crying after Igbos are gone. We will not accept you! I am PROUDLY Igbo and DO NOT insist Niger Delta make up the State of Biafra. They will be admitted if they sincerely BEG for it. YES, they would have to beg for it! Ask yourself, DO IGBOS AS AN INDEPENDENT STATE (COUNTRY) NEED THE NIGER DELTANS FOR SUSTAINABILITY? The sincere answer is NO!! Honestly, EACH of the five South Eastern states can sustain itself better than over 50 COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD not to even talk of the 5 STATES COMBINED TOGETHER. We all know that Niger Delta Region as well as North Central Nigeria are replicas of what we call Nigeria... confusion! This is a misplaced priority indeed. These so called leaders of Niger Delta should worry more about how their resources have unevenly been distributed among Northern politicians. Just imagine the Sultan of Sokoto possessing over 20 OIL WELLS in the so called Niger Delta and their men are talking nonsense. Igbos are not your problem, rather we are your solution!!! |

I was personally embarrassed by FFK's outburst. It was a huge blunder on his part. However, FFK has tendered an unreserved apologized to the journalist and entire NUJ publicly. He indeed swallowed the humble pie. Whether his apology was genuine or not, that is really not my business (the bottom line is - FFK HAS APOLOGIZED!) What DOES NUJ want?
