Quick One Guys,
For the approved ones, don’t forget to check your school’s requirements for your resumption. Most schools ‘told’ you then that you are required to submit your official transcripts upon arrival etc. Don’t forget to ‘order’ that from your undergraduate school before you leave, don’t get there and be stranded, thinking “dem don forget”; “e no mean”. “ dem no go ask” Lol e go shock you.
For the ones searching for dates, keep keeping on; you’re not alone. It’s always like that and would always be like this.
The ones with date, preparation is key. Join and do mocks to get your wordings well, so that you can CONVINCE the VO on why you need the White paper.
For the prospective applicants, start and spread your applications now to meet priority deadlines. Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 are upon you already, e no far again oh.
GOD NO GO SHAME US

Godwilldomyown: @moshkom and others, pls help me answer my question (s) I'm new here Hello, Good Day Mrs. Sincerely, you can’t say you would want to say with your husband for 5years. Ah! It’s not advisable at all, don’t even try it, talk-less of filling it that way you on your ds160. Please oh! The best bet is always with 2-3 months. VO: How long would you be staying? You: I will be staying for 2months. VO: Why are going to the USA? You: to help my husband is settling down or to give my husband emotional support, after which i will return back to my work place, I’m currently on a 3months work leave break. If he’s be there before now: You: I will going to visit my husband, my children have missed father care, now that they’re on summer break seems to be the right time to see their daddy before their resumption. Just make something outta the above, they’re just want comes to my ‘head’ atm, not saying you should say that same way. Don’t forget you work is your home tie, so most of your responses should be you referencing your job. Please, don’t fill 5 years oh. Best bet 2-3months. Don’t forget to do mocks to ace the way you put your responses together ahead of your interview. Good luck to you and yours. |

Hey! Good day guys. This is a reminder that the coming sessions (Spring 2023 and Fall 2023) applications are on already. If you are a prospective applicant kick start your application 'yesterday' not even today, I mean, no time. Don't forget to apply to good schools, right programs, right time and most importantly package your applications VERY VERY WELL to get 'something' (FUNDING) from the school, we all know that a huge % of the 'best in funding' do scale through easily at the visa stage. So, why not try to get funding at the stage you're meant to get it; just try, we know it is not easy. lol Again, if you're more than 23 years of age; already have a degree or higher diploma, it is NOT ADVISABLE you are trying the Undergraduate application, graduate study is still the best route. You have low cgpa? do result evaluation, write GRE, convincing SOP, a well packaged resume and other application materials. Yeah, they would tell you it worked for 'this' and 'that', so you should also try it, e go shock you that it might take 'you' forever before it work for 'you'. Why not just do the right it to avoid trying and error Most of the times the VO are not the problem but 'our' profile are. Biko, let us try to get it right from onset. I don't also see the reason why you should apply to/for a Community College, no excuse to justify that, Biko! FUN FACT: If you're someone with pure science course (Chemistry, Biology, Agric etc) and you are still in 9ja, it is your 'fault' oh. lol The above are MOSHKOM's personal opinions, it might count or not. Good Luck Guys!!! |

krcboy: omo I no be guru but , all i can say is that what you are currently doing has to tally with what you intend to study. And where is the relation to being a realtor and public health, The VO might not see any reason as to what the public health degree will do for you in current work field. just wait for others to chip in. cc @moshkom Yeah, it’s always ADVISABLE to have alignment with your past/last degree; current job and the propose degree. That ‘somehow’ do show ‘you are’ a genuine student to the VO, like you know what you’re doing and want. With that, someone would easily boycott some possible questions during the interview from the VO. |

Please i need advice
COA is 56,000 (tuition: 32, other expenses 24) There's a 50% scholarship off tuition which is 16000
Deficit; 40,000. No sponsor, No personal funding. The department says there's a probability of securing on campus employment or graduate assistantship after resumption.
This might be my last opportunity
Should I go for it? “ This might be my last opportunity “ In what context? Kindly get a sponsor, to act as your uncle. Just to get your i20 and act up towards your visa application. No time. God will not kill ‘our popular uncles’ for Us. Quick Story: One of our guy here got denied last week, within days he got a new date and went back, good news? He got approval today. Yeah; same no profile; not funded. So, just to tell you that got a waiver; that you don’t have any excuse. There’s always opportunities when you get there, as you school already assure you. Package yourself till you get The White Paper. This is USA path; You can do it!!!!!!!! Good luck Champ! |

COA: $32,565.00 No Funding Undergraduate Major: Transport Management [B. Tech]
Good Afternoon
Pass your Documents [ i-20 and Passport]
*Vo: where are you going to?*
I’m going for an MBA degree in the University of Bleep which is at so so so where I will major in business administration and management in general.
*Why the USA? *
One has to respect the fact that universities in the United States are at the fore front of most universities on the globe with their degree which is highly reputable and the quality of education they give which is top notch and they also give out support facilities to students in terms of assistantship and scholarship for both immigrant and non-immigrants. These are the reasons I’m looking forward to studying in the USA?
*Vo: How’d you know about the school and why the school*
I got to know about bleep university through my former deputy director as an undergraduate and I went to do my research. I chose bleep university because it has been accredited by Aacsb in 2015.
*Vo: Who is paying for your deficit/ who is your sponsor? *
My mama is my sponsor, she’s a fabric distributor in Lagos island and our stores are at Balogun and idumota markets respectively.
She’s a mother of 3 and I happen to be her eldest son, we also have landed and rented properties which I handle for the family.
vO: What do you do presently?
I’m a member of staff of bleeep company where I work as a procurement officer [Do I need to go on and explain what I do]?
*Vo: what will this course do for you? *
This course would help me grow professional, it’ll widen the range of my career path while improving my leadership skill.
It’ll also give me the pre-requisite knowledge and idea needed in managing my company when I’m back in the country.
*Why should I approve your visa? *
Your approving my visa means I will be a step ahead in my academic career and my degree would be tenable for a high position in my company upon my arrival.
Congrats.
Can somebody please enlighten me on what to look into when it comes to *study Plan and Thesis ??
Please I’m open to critics.. kindly help scrutinize this.
@moshkom
@haywhy
Thank you guys. Kindly PM now (03:50pm) lemme share you an on-going Google Meet session for Mock interview, because I personally don’t believe in ‘on-paper’ transcript. |

Moshkom, Ummzayd or any helping individual
What's the possibility of starting a visa process in July and seeing dates plus getting approval for an August/September start date?
I am still waiting on funding decisions which might come in Late June. Start your process NOW, by getting your i20. Yeah! You can update your i20 back when the Funds comes through which won’t affect other process. Pay your visa fee. Setup your cgi. When date is available pick and keep. Use the below snapshot as guide. If you don’t get it, you can PM me. Luck Champ!

Thanks. Moshkom and all the gurus in the house please help me out. Yeah, you can! Try to follow the below steps: Go to DS160 website. Fill in your details (location and Confirmation number) Simply select “Retrieve An Application”, then “create a new application”. You’d be able to access the old DS160. Just that this time, you’d get a new “Confirmation Number”. Make the necessary adjustments and submit when you’re sure you’re done. Then proceed to the CGIfederal website, login and navigate to “Update Profile” Erase your old confirmation number and replace it with the new one |

Femotech123: Lagos Bachelor degree Coa: $23,699 No funding: (haven’t been decided yet till May ending according to DSO of the school) school: EIU Vo : do your thumbprint Vo : you are going for your bachelor degree right Me : yes bachelor degree in political science Vo : why this school Me : I chose this school because it’s cheap and very affordable for my sponsor and she cut in Vo : 49$ is not cheap! Me: No ma my COA is just $23k+ ( but due to the SOA I send to get my i20 after they calculated the money with there rate is was equivalent to $49k so they input it like that so the family fund was $49k as indicated on my I20 I think that is why she said it’s not cheap) she check and quickly confirm and nodded. Vo : who is spending a lot on you Me : my brother he has been supporting me since when I want for my diploma course and he is ready and welling to support me Vo : what does he do. Me : he is a politician (I mute for a while immediately I wanted to say he Former deputy she cut in and ask Vo : what will you do with the course Me : I will come come to Nigeria to continue work at my place of work but in higher position. I can be transferred to state secretariat or federal and I will start my political ambition by joining political party. Vo : type and type and type like 5min self and eventually she said you aren’t qualified for this and brought out the blue pepper.
Please guys at @moshkom and at every other gurus in this house just advise me pls and I will appreciate this is my 3 attempt and I am 25. Should I try again or I should just go back and complete my hnd and apply for masters or I should try once again ? Secondly my sevis fee will expire on July eventually if I apply and get date lets say by August (aug 22 is my program start date ) hope I will still be able to use the sevis fee or I will have to pay for another sevis fee again. Oh! Sorry for the denial bro. I won’t lie, You failed in preparation. I doubt you did proper mock(s) before the interview. You really have to act up towards your next application. Maybe; - Change school to one with low Cost of Attendance. Check out TRUMAN STATE UNI, they automatically gives 10k to international students and their COA is ‘just’ 28k. Minus the 10k, your sponsor would now have ‘just’ 18k to cover has deficit - Do proper prep talks, mock and know-how before you next visa interview, with someone that is more knowledgeable in this field. - Your Parent should be your best sponsor in the Undergraduate path. If they can’t in this ‘primary level’ of yours, then try to convince the VO why your uncle is taking their position. PS: In MOSHKOM’s words “Dem no dey rush go embassy oh”. Because this one you are already calculating your SEVIS payment expiring date against your next possible interview date ehn, calm down oh. - Don’t forget NOT to apply to COMMUNITY COLLEGE. - Don’t forget to apply at the right age range. Good luck Young Champ!!! |

However, I also experienced firsthand the gloomy and depressing someone could get. The low spirit and miserable feeling of delayed applicants almost moved me to tears. Some hid it well and were courageous on the spot ( but I'm certain they may cry later) while others were totally broken and every word of encouragement was like salt to injury. Mixed feelings everywhere just pray for grace.

Quick One:
There is ZERO emotions in this USA path. They’re ready to toy with your emotion, no matter who you are at any time of your USA application (visa or school).
Keep your emotions AWAY from this path.
Just move on and/or try again elsewhere (another country).
You’re NOT a failure because of a denial.
PS: Not trying to promote an act or musician, but if you ever feel like giving up, listen to Burna’s TAT album. You would be fine and later level up.
