teemy:as they said, it is not the 1st time this sort of thing has happened in the US, and so far no casino has ever paid.... so good luck to her! |
Genea:no you are not but you have to understand that such guys are very hard to catch, so unless you are at the top of the food chain of your gender, chances are it may be a while before you finally meet such guy (if ever).... so you can A) wait, B) accept that you are asking for too much, and therefore lower your unrealistic expectations or C) sample all the wrong men (out of desperation) until you finally realise in your late 30s that aint got what it takes to catch such man, and ultimately settling for any donkey out there due to body clock etc |
Genea:are you saying that any woman having an abortion for a guy, he would never marry her? petkruz:so a man that aint ready today, and ask his gf to have an abortion, will never ever be ready (with that said gf)?! Odunharry:many think they can trap men, and hurry an unplanned marriage, thanks to a pregnancy. |
eposho:are you sure about the above in bold? |
@DGKN count your blessings and move on with your life... if the only thing that you guys have of value is two past abortions, then no wonder he is leaving you. you havent been able to come up with a good reason (apart from 2 abortions) as to why you guys should stay together. pls dont forget to give a dirty slap to whoever told you that having 2 abortions for a guy meant he will never leave you. |
yinkuscious:what has gender got to do with taking the PROPER decision?! if there are any disagreements, then whoever is in charge should take the ultimate decision. |
manie:i am sorry if i have offended you, as i clearly wrote "NO OFFENCE" after writing what i believe is the state of mind you portray. i dont sugarcoat my words, sorry. The best ways the big boss can help his employees is by giving then the skill and attitude to be financially literate and investment savvy.why would a boss do such a thing?! just because thats what YOU desire for your life dont automatically assume that this is what everyone out there desire for theirs. the employees who desire to become financially literate and investment savvy can ultimately do so by using their bonus to pay for after work education/school on the subject. furthermore, what makes you think that these employees aint financially literate and investment savvy?! what makes you think that they wont invest the money on a side business in order to make some extra cash?! oh yeah i forgot, in your world, anyone who is an employee is automatically NOT financially literate and NOT investment savvy. very funny! stop making all these assumptions just because most Nigerians desire to be their own bosses. I doubt if 95% of his employees can replicate what the company achieved if they are to start their own businesses. The entrepreneur is the visioner of the enterprise, risk bearer and coordinators of the various factors of production. Since the workers do not have the entreprenuerial drive and mindset of their boss, the best he can do is to equip them with the skill and attitude to be financially independent, financially literate, investment savvy and having the millionaire mindset.see how you are quick to assume again that everyone aspire to be an entrepreneur, and that everyone should/must take risks and put their lives and the financial wellbeing of their family at risk, in order to be financially independent, financially literate, investment savvy and having the millionaire mindset. ahahahahah you are indeed funny! A lawyer in his mid 50s got a dividend of over N100 million in a company in 2014, while a top banker got close to N600 million dividend in 2013. Most employers will not want their employees to have the millionaire mindset, imagine if those guys are getting additional dividends of $500k rather than the $100k given to them by their boss. Their children can inherit the investment and dividends, but cannot inherit the 100k bonus or salary.BWAAAAAAH! really?! is that YOUR mindset?! i am not gonna tell you what i really think about what you just wrote because you will think i am insulting you again, but let me just say this: people like you are dreamers, - a dreamer that believe that any money made by an individual should be invested BY ALL MEANS, at the expense of making (at that particular time) a better life for them and their family; - a dreamer who dont even have a clue about what an "entrepreneur" is, and whose main motivation in life is unfortunately "making money" rather than creating a worthy product or service; - a dreamer that doesnt know that even when you have the best idea/product/service you can still fail due to unforeseen events; - a dreamer that doesnt understand that you need DRIVE/FOCUS/PASSION/WILL POWER in order to succeed as an entrepreneur, and this cant be taught even in the best schools in the world; - a dreamer that would rather put their family's wellbeing in jeopardy with dreams, instead of making sure that their family is safe FIRST, before gambling their lives away; - a dreamer that believe that anyone who is financially literate would automatically be successful (investment wise); - a dreamer who believe that making money is the hardest part in this game while, in fact, KEEPING MONEY and MAKING IT GROW BIGGER is the hardest part; if a person's sole motivation in life is to "make money", then no wonder they are miserable.... this is the reason why so many out there (with that failed state of mind) aint making any. The big boss has done well for his act of kindness and generosity, but can do better by equipping the employees with the skills, tools, attitudes and processes towards building a lasting and an enduring wealth.yeah yeah, we heard, everyone should/must do what YOU desire, because YOU know whats best for all 1400 of these employees. believe me, if that boss asks his entire workforce if they rather have a $100K bonus OR a course in order to be "financially independent, financially literate, investment savvy and having the millionaire mindset", let me assume that ALL will take the cash bonus. as a boss, your duty is to make your employees ENJOY what they are doing, BELIEVE in the company and STRIVE for greatness, while rewarding them for their loyalty and hardwork.... and certainly not instilling in them (by force) what they have not asked for, nor possibly desire. some will use the bonus money to repay their debts, some will put a down payment on a house, some may use the money to go on a well deserved holiday, or buy a car etc... and if anyone desires to be "financially independent, financially literate, investment savvy" then they can use that bonus money to pay for courses/school to educate themselves about it. what each and everyone do is up to them, and them alone. nairaman66:not even a thank you?! oh well, i am glad i was able to enlighten you. |
Leriebloom:kkkkk the important point here: would you accept such unwanted man if he was God sent?! |
Leriebloom:FIXED btw if the person "ordained" by God is broke and ugly, would you still accept him? |
Gluthatione:true that the cost and side effect are not ideal but if a married man is willing to live life reckessly, then he must make sure that his spouse/children dont get infected due to his inabilities to zip up.... therefore he should take a daily dose of TRUVADA in order to keep himself and family HIV free, for as long as it takes (unless you think we can put a price on life?) |
Nigerians are funny sha.... here on NL they are quick to tell anyone who cares to listen that: MAKE MONEY 1ST, BABES WILL FOLLOW bla bla bla. now some dude makes a little money and aim for some top babes, and these same Nigerians now come back at him with insults. lol! so i guess now its:"MAKE MONEY, BE CUTE AND AIM FOR WOMEN THAT NOBODY WANTS" then?! let that dude aim for whoever he desires, with or without money.... his life, his worries. |
Gluthatione:educate yourself bro, you are looking at TRUVADA solely as a drug for people who are HIV+, while i am telling you that it should be used by anyone who is having unprotected sex in order to NOT get infected. |
prettysolid:again, whether the child is male OR female, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a parent bathing with his/her child. at that age, being nekkid in front of your child means nothing, and parents normally starts to cover up when the child passes 2yrs old (i know i did). anyone who thinks that it is wrong for a father to bathe nekkid with his own child of the opposite sex is not thinking straight. thats their CHILD . |
valencia25:so there is a MC in that party but NO security?! dont blame armed robbers, blame the dumbass with misplaced priorities who threw that €#$&% party. |
and the moral of the story is?! people MUST educate themselves about the new anti HIV drug (actually its been here for yrs) called TRUVADA. approved by the FDA yet so many people are still clueless about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsEgg6EOpNM |
nothing wrong here.... mum and dad can bath nekkid with their kids until they decide when its not appropriate any longer. |
if the person is famous then its assassination, if they are "nobodys" then its murder |
all these yrs she was silent about it and then now that she has a reality show in the oven, suddenly she remembers the abuse..... yeah right! |
bettercreature:"mistakenly" embezzle money or penetrate someone?! bwaaaaaah, you are a joker! juman:until you get raped by some gay dude, and then you will quickly change your stance on rape. |
so responsibe guys dont have sex/drinks/friends/fun any longer?! thats not the definition of a responsible guy, thats the definition of a miserable one. having kids and a wonderful family doesnt mean that you cant go clubbing/dancing and have fun in life... it just means that you can only do that with wifey in toe, and/or only when you have a babysitter. so long as you have a roof over your head, bills are paid, food is in the fridge, kids are healthy and getting an education, then dont get it twisted, you ARE a responsible man! |
i will have to settle for a j et (oh no, not enough $$$ for that), then a J aguar or a J eep then, j ewellery, have J ay z come do a private show at my crib, while J ustin Bieber do a show in the garage for the neighborhood kids |
the following crimes in Nigeria should carry the death penalty: - RAPE - EMBEZZLEMENT - MURDER (associated with armed robbers or ritualist) |
okenwa:obviously, we can clearly understand that the OP doesnt really care if there is a stable home or not. money and good sex are her priorities in a man..... hey, to each their own, as there are some out there who solely desire money. |
manie:thats because you think like a miserable employee (no offence), and instead should think like the boss you aspire to be... if you think that giving an employee just a salary, will motivate him/her to give that extra push and/or to be loyal to your company year in and year out, then you best wake up immediately. we can certainly understand that an employee like yourself would only do what you are paid to do, and never lift a finger more, since your hardwork/loyalty is only geared toward your financial independence. thats the hypocrisy in your miserable employee state of mind (no offence again), but we all know too damn well that if you knew that you could get a bonus of ₦10M or more at the end of the year, you'll work yourself to the bone, in order to ultimately get that financial independence you so dream of. rather than hoping and praying for a father figure boss to give me a chunk from the big pie, what smart and entrepreneurial employees do is how to own part of the pie. And I think this is more enduring.they DO get a piece of the pie, 3% of it to be precise... lol. by "owning" part of the pie, you therefore mean that you expect the boss to be MORE "generous" (as you said) than to share 3% of the yearly profit with the employees?! lol, not everybody has what it takes to BE an entrepreneur, thats why all too many fail miserably in such venture. but sadly, in 9ja EVERY single soul daydream of being their own boss, when they have absolutely no clue/talent/education/knowledge etc as to what it takes to starting a business and making ends meet, let alone be profitable. |
manie:and companies makes BIGGER profit when workers are motivated (by their boss) to do an even better job... therefore, their HARDWORK and LOYALTY must be rewarded proportionately. 3-5% is appropriate, 15-20% is generous. just because Nigeria is filled with useless good for nothing bosses, does NOT make this boss "extraordinary". |
moshino:same thing, they either A) losing money or B) want to save some. 2. Any amount of payment above and beyond the employees salary, would have equally motivated them, and made them feel good. He did not have to give them the gift, neither did he have to go as high as $100k each. Its not an obligation, its generosity and a good gesture.- so you actually believe that... in 2010, the boss gave them $35K each, and motivated them to continue working hard, and NOW that the profit almost doubled this yr (thanks to the motivation and hope of a BONUS), he should give them LESS?! it IS an obligaton YES to reward your staff, thats why it works so well with HILCORP and they are making such massive profits. dont take what these useless CEOs in 9ja are doing as anything of value. |
neoapocalypse:but here is the main problem here, all of you accept mediocrity as the way to go, just because thats what so many bosses are doing in 9ja.... BULLSH1T!!!!! the fact that Nigerians bosses are GREEDY shouldnt stop us from understanding the meaning of being generous. we can clearly understand that people like Dangote etc dont give a damn about their workforce, and thats why most employees probably dont give a damn about the company either. stop looking at this $100K like a big deal, in a small minded CEOs country, and instead look at the big picture... 15-20% (or more) of the yearly profit IS being generous, 3% is appropriate, and this is how ALL companies should function. |
manie:do you actually think that giving back (to the employees) 3% of the profit made that year, is being "generous"?! when many companies out there are giving up to 10-15% back to their workforce? moshino:why would you compare the actions of this HIGHLY profitable private company, with that of the ones who are closing shops?! its not called a REWARD for nothing. such bonus MOTIVATE staff and their loyalty to the company. so companies who make the numbers (at the end of the fiscal yr) stay in business, those who dont.... oh well! let us not forget that HILCORP is the largest privately held oil and gas producer in the US. |
Kgdavid:again, giving his employees 3% of the massive profit he made was "appropriate"..... especially since he gave them $35K each (or $50K down payment on a car) the previous years when the profit wasnt as high as this year. there is no cynical views here, i am saying that this is how ALL bosses should reward their hard working employees. |
nairaman66:you went back to edit the GROSS mathematical error you made, and instead of thanking me for correcting you, you are here still writing nonsense... |
