This is so terrible and appears to be negligence. How is it that they have a place to keep all the tools they use, yet they drop things inside people? When they are stitching, don't they see the things? It seems deliberate because they've trained and yet make such mistakes. If engineers made such mistakes, everyone would be dead.

Hope you're not referring to Nigerian engineers because those people are not doing anything not to talk of making mistakes.

The first exam you write after pre-clinical is path/pharm that's if you know what it means.

You don't know what Medical school entails..... There's only a slight level of tolerance in medical schools....
Even if your father is the VC atleast in know of a DVC son that repeated path/pharm class...you think medicine is like any other disciplines that they just upgrade and patch up results anyhow...If your father is VC and you fail in medical school, even your father will be ashamed to help you.

You can enter medical school with connection but you can not graduate with connections.

Someone in my class whose father is a professor in UBTH was withdrawn from Medical school. There's a little level of tolerance in my medical school.

And for the fact that they are now consultants mean everything was not fluke.

I'm a second year Medical student of UNIBEN.
Recently, I find it very difficult to really study because of distractions from my phone.

You can not equate your residency to PhD, if they are really equal, those professors in the medical field wouldn't have gone for it. Besides, we are talking about academic in general and that includes qualifications and not profession only.

you're oblivious about medical field.
professors that take clinical students don't need to have Ph.Ds.
Residency is what they do and they become profs some years after..
Medicine is different from other professions.
Ph.Ds don't have any relevance in clinical medicine... Medicine is practical not theory.

The quakery you so much crave for nursing is already consuming your "beloved" profession.
As you are fully aware, the difference between a doctor with MBBS and a patent medicine dealer or quack doctors you train in your hospitals is theory. You also forgot that surgeons were at one time called barbers. Surgical skills can be learnt and performed by anybody damnit, even the so-called auxiliary nurses with millions of years in quakery can give a FWCS holder a run for their money in the operating room.

Even with your level of education as a Polyvalent Nurse, you still use your hands to type this trash.
I'm a medical student and be that as it may, I can easily detect a quack with mere conversation.
A MBBS holder will always be one; there's no gainsaying about that.
If your know the level of training Medical students pass through, you'll not type rubbish.
And to impress you the more, Medical Doctors training is far distinct from any other professions bcuz that's what the profession demands.
Pls don't ever try such gibberish comparisons again.
If you have beef with any Doctor, settle it amicably because you'll eventually require a doctor's attention when you fall sick.

I Am Losing My Mind, Could This Be Love Or Foolishness?

Okay, I'd be quick and brief as well.

So about 6 months ago, I met my girl on facebook, And after months wooing her to date me, she finally agreed and we started dating..

Like everything was perfect and indeed I fell deeply in love with her even before I met her.

So along the line in our relationship she told she had a best friend who is a guy and they have know each other for like 4years..and that they talk very well (calls and chat) and that they tell each other they love themselves, but if I wasn't cool with it,I could break up she would understand.

As a guy I knew I had fallen for her and I embraced her telling me about the guy after a strong assurance from her that they were not into any sort of relationship with each other.

So my girl called me like let's say a month after we started dating that there was this her friend who she hadn't met and that wanted and she was going to see him, and I was like fine, she should just be fine.

P.S:- I hadn't met with my girl even till the point she went to meet the guy...I was in the west and she was in one of the states in the East..more like a long distance relationship.

Fast forward to days after they met I became uncomfortable with the relationship between my girl and the said new guy she met..I talked to her severally about it and she was at some point swearing not having anything to do with the new guy she just met.

Fast forward to the festive season I came back and I met my girl for the first time..indeed she was everything I imagined and we flowed amazingly well.

Long story cut short in the midst of one of our long conversations I discovered she have at some point had sex severally with her said best friend...so I was like since it was before we met I forgave her and we moved on..

yesterday I asked her if she has anything with the new guy and she swore again not having anything with him that the guy has been asking her out and she refused dating him.

She said plenty of things that convinced me into believing that nothing was going between them.

P.S:- before yesterday I told her to tell the new guy she has a boyfriend and she promised to..(from the actions of my girl I could tell she loves me.) She later told me that day that she told him and she had blocked him and stuff..and trust me I did believe her.

So this morning while she was sleeping I reaching out to her phone and went straight to her WhatsApp.. opened the chat with the guy and what I saw broke me..

She was reconciling with him over the break up she instigated of which was caused by something totally different not even because she told him she had a guy..what killed my spirit was a message she wrote to the guy saying "she left me for him even though I was far much a better option"..I confronted her and she has been pleading saying she loves me but she likes him and that they haven't had anything except kissing and caressing..that she loves me so much..that she started liking him when she started talking to him more frequently and I was far away. She hadn't know me..so she got fond of him and she likes him.

I love this babe so much, I told her I forgive her..but please I need your opinions..am I blinded by love or am being foolish..

How would you handle the situation. If it was you..

These days, I hardly trust ladies no what how hard the lady convinces me..They rarely stick to one guy, it's almost impossible and the only way I save my myself from unnecessary hypertension is not to be deeply in love with any girl..I play them probably the same way they think they're playing me... It's only when you devote your energy, time and resources to a girl that you experience heartbrake..Guy wise up!

What's that misconception that people have about you?

1. Men find it difficult to believe it when I say am not in a relationship . They will be like "fine girl like you ".
2. Most of my friends think am so rich and comfortable. When I say I don't have money to give them, am tagged wicked.
3. Alot of people see me as cold, rigid and stubborn maybe because of how I Express myself or how I look. But the few close people in my life will always attest to how soft I can get.

People think I'm proud because I'm in Medicine and I don't have much friendly friends.
They literally have the beleif that every medical student is proud.

Hmmm dis guy u most either be an illetrate or a novice no effence bro how can you compare a vet doctor with an animal scientists gone are the days were vet doctors are not valued in nigeria I tell u bro in university of nigeria where I school vet lecturers and professional are the highest paid they pay them more than even medicine and sugery professional I respect vet doctors and students a lot bro believe it or not veterinary medicine is much more broader than human medicine they study different human anatomy and psychology while human doctors study just human anatomy I respect those guys a lot they deserve much respect veterinary medicine is a professional course and a very difficult course for that matter they are well paid currently now another thing about vet medicine is that u don't even need anyone to employ you...you can be self employed and establish on ur own and still work under ministry of agriculture and other vast field too numerous to mention there is much to veterinary medicine than the eye can see the diversity and vastness cannot be overemphasised I respect those guys alot

When it comes to the issue of career choice, it becomes something personal.
The guy in question knows what he wants but he's only a victim of circumstance.
It's obvious he prefers MBBS to vet, and he's utterly uncertain of what vet has to offer, so in this scenario, it's better he tries MBBS again.
He could even accept vet's admission while doing this. He may later enjoy veterinary Medicine.

We have a lot of unproductive and resentful graduates out there because a handful of them decided to accept the admissions they were offered just like this one's..But rarely would you see anyone who regretted studying a course he applied for..
Life is beyond financial gains.
Some people derive their joy in what they're doing and they're satisfied with that.

You'll have to remain in Chemistry department.

Transfer to Pharmacy from Chemistry is done at the end of 200L not 100L and if it works out, the person will start from 200L Pharmacy.

You can only relocate to Pharmacy as soon as you resume if you have strong connection but besides that, at the end of your 100L in Chemistry, you may seek transfer form to Pharmacy which means your CGPA has to very strong. The transfer form costs 50K and it's unrefundable.

Don't have any recent info on this. Last time I checked, the school had a partial accreditation. It has graduated three sets of doctors.

Before you take any defining step (like withdrawing from your current school), have your parents go to selected medical schools (especially federal) and get first hand information.
