When I saw Baro started this thread I knew faze had to be there but I just was praying it would be a song that'll at least befit the topic and I wasn't disappointed. "On a plane", to me, is the best song on that album. . . took me time to appreciate it but its such a lovely song. Well unfortunately, i'm not in naija so i don't know how popular or unpopular it is but that song deserves to be up there with the rest of 'em

What can I say? I didn't make the first story up did I? You guys, faze and 2face fans alike, claimed u SAW the interview that Akon said he didn't have a deal with faze. I didn't call faze a liar, all I said was maybe he jumped the gun. . . which he really did. Akon said he's a konvict but said they still have a lot to iron out, didn't he? That means at the time faze was spreading the news NOTHING was cooking in the kitchen (pun intended). If you check out my post I always added "not yet" because I didn't believe faze would just come out and lie, I always just believed the deal wasn't final and faze just got too excited. Hip TV reported the deal and they also reported Akon's interview, so whats the beef (notice the use of the word "report). I'm not defending them but thats their job, I only hope they'll be gracious enough to re-report the latest development. Let me make this clear, hopefully for the last time, I don't hate, dislike or beef faze, I simply just prefer 2face. Check my mp3 player any day u'll be sure to find a couple of faze songs. I hope he and others learn a lesson from all this maybe thats the reason even 2face answered the way he did when asked about people he was trying to work with.

Kanye West - Kanye to me would be my best dressed but sometimes he has some misses that just throws him off

Wassup y'all. This argument is getting heated. . . ok that might be an understatement, i think the pot is boiling over at this point. Anyway I'm not going to call my main man faze a liar, all i can say is he jumped the gun a little bit but its all good. The good news out of all this is there is some kind of consideration. The only thing I still don't understand is how Akon can be called a liar. I mean its his record label, he doesn't need to lie about who he has or hasn't signed. If faze did a concert in the US and I didn't hear about it, what does that really say about faze as an artist? That means there was no hype, that means people were not even looking forward to it. Its one thing to at least hear about it and not go, its another not hear about it at all. About going to all the stores, I haven't been to all the stores in the US obviously but I have been to many in diff states and I haven't seen anything about your boy b4.

Most international artists aspire to perform in the US because thats the entertainment capital of the world, if you can be successful there you can successful in most places. If faze and his management do not know that they shouldn't be in the business. We all know thats not the case though, why do u think faze was going about saying he had a deal with Akon, an American artist, because everyone knows thats the way to go. He simply hasn't performed so far because his demand has been minimal.

Advise your boy to stay in the studio longer and become more creative with his lines and lock his flows then maybe his demand would become higher. All these songs about tattoos, a Nigerian artist singing about tattoos just shows his desperation to break into the international scene, my advice. . . keep it real, rep your region, thats the way foreign artists successfully break into a foreign market then lines like "I like this perfume when you pass me by" won't get him anywhere. All in all, he needs to get better to step up to 2face.

Why bring up faze's name? I thought this was a comparison between tuface and faze but whatever, if we need to stop talking about faze and focus on tuface so be it. I saw the same interview and I didn't see or hear in any part of that interview where he was looking nor sounding like an ass. He answered the questions as liberally as they were posed. I can see the state of denial you're on is on another level. Honestly, I do not like to insult people online but Sect please I know you're way smarter than what u wrote down. You guys have put together 2 people that are not on the same level and thats the reason u guys have to come up with these kinds of ridiculously absurd posts. If u must know, I find sponsors for concerts (i've mentioned it before, do it 4 fun not full time at all). I have been able to get sponsors for 2 shows so far, when 2face came and when D'banj came earlier in the yr. Here's how concerts work. . . a promoter, that wants to make money for his own pocket, meets up with artists management team and agrees on something and blah blah. Its the duty of the promoter to organize the event, promote it, if necessary market the artist in that area, pay for anything the artists requires (so far its in the contract obviously) and so on. No Keke involvement, Don Jazzy was around but it wasn't in his place to even pay 5cents for anything. D'banj went out to DC and shopped on these promoters. Thats what promoters do. Keke paid for his shows wow. Sect r u kidding? Its sounds more ridiculous as I write. 2face is in high demand, people that are trying to take him around the world are in a line that goes around the corner. He just left Sweden and we all know theres nothing "black" about Sweden, the swedes are the whitest of the whites with their bleach blond hair. So sect please if this comparison is going to make u keep writing stuff like this down please look for another artist you can compare faze to. I'm sure they're so many out there that u'll be able to put him up against that won't make u sound the way u do.

How does an award belong to someone? How did that "award" belong to Sasha? How is it that Sasha and 2face would be in the same category and Sasha would win? All those u things mentioned above like making contacts, going to awards and shows, etc that is what even a regular Mami Papi record label in the US would do. Its not an easy business to break into. So u think because Kenny Ogungbe stands in the line outside the auditorium they do these award shows, they're all of a sudden going to invite him into their offices and start discussing how his artist is going to win an award My brother no be so. . . The only way Kennis would have been allowed to smell their corridors if he goes to present them with a good product and with a good product he did.
