If you know me u'll know I'm one of the biggest critics of things/people i like. You'll never hear me saying Tuface's website is good to be honest its a shame for an artist of his calibre, his music videos too used to get me mad except the recent ones which are decent but are not there yet. Even his myspace page is boring but but but his music is still da bomb and i thought thats what we were arguing about here. I have no reason to exaggerate when comparing tuface to faze that'll be grossly unfair, he has so much ahead of him right now already. Pls when was the last time you wanted to know something about Kanye West or 50 that you went to their official website, when last did u want to know anything about Diddy or Jay-Z that u went to their website? Thats what I mean. Of course, thats no reason for you to have a wack website but they're not just the main source of info anymore. While faze's website is better than tuface's its not great, i hope we can at least agree on that.

Now we've left their music and started talking about their website. No one really check artists' websites anymore there a lot of websites that have more exciting and even more up-to-date news about these artists. So your point taken but really no point there. The youtube link u pasted shouldn't even be shown to represent your boy. I'm talking about his new videos. I actually don't believe u used that video to prove a point. That was some random person that did a slideshow with music playing at the back not a music video.

Point of Correction - I'm not a tuface addict, groupie, his brother, friend, cousin, in-law, or any attachment for that matter. I'm a fan of good music thats why I enjoy tuface's music. What I do here is just to defend an artist I appreciate against all those people that want to drag his name in the mud.

Again I'll say this to any faze fan. You say faze is better but I'll say Tuface is better and he has all the success and awards to prove his talent and hardwork. I like your comparism of faze to Joe, I think both artists are good but haven't achieved the fame and success they deserve but they're not the best, there are still a lot of male artists i'll rather listen to. If you want to use this poll to determine who is better pls go ahead. I'll accept the awards, fame, and success. Pls does anyone have the link to the faze's videos. In this age of youtube, faze's recording label should have put those videos there. You guys would now start blaming Kennis for doing their job later. This is 2007 pls faze fans tell ur boi and his ppl to get with the prgram, youtube is an important marketing tool in this day and age. The best thing, its free!!! Pls tell those ppl to go to a business school and learn how to market their artist properly.

did u just come to this thread assuming we've not heard Independence? I have heard it several times and I still prefer Grass 2 Grace and I still know tuface is better. Thanks for trying to convert us but we've heard what your guy is all about already. Please if you can say what all these artists said about faze we'll really appreciate it. All these artists you mentioned have worked with tuface except Akon who has openly come out to ask for an encore performance from Tuface after he heard him in a concert. Akon although has signed faze, picked tuface's video (Ole) has his best African Indigenous videos when he did a show about his favorite African artists on MTV Jams. So whats your point

P.S. - If you think Tuface is one-dimesional, I can only come to two conclusions, its either u haven't listened to tuface's songs or u simply don't know music in which case u really shouldn't be here.

I know right? The talent still shines through the "sloppy videos". What I'm trying to say is even if tuface just shoots a video of him walking from 1st ave to 5th ave in festac town his talent cannot be denied. Some people try to mask their mundane talent with visually captivating videos to distract viewers from the song itself and make them pay attention to the video. Sometimes this tactic actually works. Great videos for great artists are like icing on the cake and not a necessity. Tuface's new videos, although not the best ever made, I personally think are still pretty nice

Its not a matter of freebies. Pls who sells faze's vcd around here? These things are not available thats only reason we rely on youtube to keep up.

Your last post is actually the best post from you. Nice one!!! BUT y do other awards have to be flukes? Its also funny how hiphop world awards and Nigeria Music Awards are the only credible one. So MTV, NEA, MOBO, even channel 0 that your boi is up for are not credible. Again bad comment. How can you say all those awards are not credible except those two u mentioned. How ridiculous does that sound even to you? Just in case you don't know, all these other awards are determined by votes even the almighty Oscar is determined by votes but maybe by film experts. MTV, Channel 0 and others are based strictly on fan votes. Another thing is why does the blackface interview have to be fake? Its just hard for you guys to admit. Well another thing, u say tuface is overrated, i say he's not and deserves all the success. You say "share my heart" or whatever is better than "African Queen", I say its not and I'm sure there millions of fans that can back me up. You said when tuface watched faze's videos he admitted, how do u know that? (not saying he didn't).

P.S. - Last point; Has it ever crossed your mind the reason faze is being nominated for a newcomer award? We all know he's not a newcomer. Is it because his first album didn't gain any international recognition? Then ask yourself why the album didn't gain that recognition.

LMAO @ Baro. Believe me no one is sounding frustrated or desperate. U guys sound desperate because its u guys that keep making up stories and excuses. If you think we keep repeating ourselves its because u guys are always bringing up these excuses we have to clear up. If talking about the different awards Tuface wins every time is repetition then I hope to repeat for a very long time. What lies & shams Baro? He brings out albums and he wins awards and it has to be lies and shams. He gets all these international shows and it has to be lies and shams? His albums are selling and it has to be lies and shams? He keeps collaborating with people and its lies and shams? His song was featured in an international movie and it has to be lies and shams? He has gained worldwide recognition, I'm sure thats also lies and shams? The only thing that frustrates me on this thread is instead of appreciating and being proud of this dude all these different accusations are being leveled against this guy regularly. As I said in some other thread, I'm pretty sure there are ways u guys should be able to prove faze is better without denigrating tuface and his achievements.

P.S.- Even if Tuface joins a mama & papa record label so far he still brings out hits, I'll continue to be a fan. As tuface fans commended faze on his good videos u faze fans should be able to do that from time to time. Its shows maturity, cry babies keep giving excuses about other people's successes.

Why do u guys have to hate so much? Its really really sad. What has Tuface done to you guys? The man that co-wrote the song with him has come to tell you guys with his own mouth and yet you say he's lying. What does anyone have to do to convince some of you guys? Blackface has been kind enough to come and tell us what went down and you're still saying all this. May God help some of us. Na wa oh!!! I pray no one ever accuses of not deserving what you worked hard for.

So how did he get popular in the first place? Tuface fans always give props where its due, saying that, Congratulations to faze on his nomination. Lets not get ahead of ourselves though and lets be mature and sensible with our comments. All the people that claim they buy awards I know deep in your hearts you don't believe that maybe u guys are just trying to make a point. Even when a tuface fan has come out openly to congratulate faze u guys have managed to turn it around. I really doubt there are faze haters, there just people that prefer other artists. Lets appreciate these people's success, they work hard. More importantly these people have put our Music on the map. Even if some artists are doing it better that others for now, at least we're gaining some kind of recognition. I mean look at the MOBO awards, two naija artists were nominated in a category thats supposed to be for the whole of Africa thats an achievement by itself. You can argue faze is better all you want, thats your prerogative, its not just fair u guys have to denigrate another man's hard work and rewards to do that.

Tuface haters are here again. Why do u guys hate him so much? Even D'Banj that lost to him went on stage to celebrate with him. Thats how big boys roll!!!! Your arguments are wonderful thats all I have to say. As concrete said do not take it as a good thing that faze can easily be copied. What is his style to be copied in the first place? Agreeing with concrete once again, u really do not believe P-Square copied Faze. I know u don't really believe that because if you do you shouldn't be here arguing about music. Tuface's sound is distinct and thats the reason he's so successful. When u have a product u try to make it so thats not easily duplicated. Faze really just sounds like any other artists out there until he starts screaming. Thats the reason a lot of artists feature tuface because he's going to put his own style to the song. Again I'm doubting your knowledge of music because you'll also know awards are important it shows the quality of your music and achievements. The results of award shows are determined by experts and fans like you and I. Grass2Grace has won many awards for album of the yr, I guess that answers the question asked by the topic and not the poll going on above.

P.S. - So far I haven't seen any awards Independent has been NOMINATED for.

P.S. - No one also mentioned the results of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards. Tuface crushed faze in that competition too.

Just one question Mr Blackface, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding your involvement with Tuface's mega hit "African Queen" can you please clear the air up once and for all for Nairalanders? I see you have your own version too. There has been too many stories/rumors on this forum about the song and it'll be good to hear the real story from the horse's mouth. Its Official!!! Kanye sold 957,000 copies while 50 sold 691,000. So I'm hoping 50 keeps his promise (fingers crossed). To get serious I think 50 did good numbers judging from the state album sales are right now and even from the fact that his album was garbage. Kanye crushed 50 haha. 50 can actually afford to retire he has enough money, he's a good business man so he can live off that but I'm wondering who's going to be rushing to stores to buy them G-Unit sneakers now?

Alright Baro, thanks for your explanation. The MTV awards doesn't obviously belong to 2face alone, i mean how can it? That'll be a mockery of the category. But do you agree that category was created for the incredible performance of artists like Tuface & Keysha. That by itself is an achievement worth mentioning. The success of African Queen and his first album paved the way for other artists like p-square to even have the opportunity to be nominated. Deny it all you want, you know its the truth. The fact is the stamp tuface has left in the Nigerian music scene in recent yrs CANNOT be compared to any other naija artist for now, maybe later but not now. You know thats the truth!!!

Good music is good music (no pun intended), people are not buying Kanye's album because they have beef for 50 his album is just that good. Moreover 50 is not that relevant anymore, he really needs to step his game up.
