Have you been hurt by someone close to you, a friend, brother, colleague at work or even your spouse? And you are finding it difficult to forgive this person even though you are a Christian and knows as believers we ought to forgive those who hurt us?

Let me show you what you can do that will practically help to forgive and let go of the pains caused you by others.

We live in a world that is filled with so much uncertainties, though this is not how our Father planned it to be, but that is the reality we find ourselves in today.

Our close friends and loved ones often shattering our hearts, betraying our trust and doing things that make us wonder “so this person could hurt me this much and still act like everything is OK.”

While it is true that some persons hurt us accidentally without knowing the gravity of their actions to us, there are also those who actually do so on purpose, taking advantage of our love, trust or care to cause us harm. It is this last set of people that are often the most difficult to forgive.

So what do we do when we are hurt by the people we least expect and we are having a hard time forgiving them?

First, I am going to take my time to debunk some popular myths surrounding forgiveness that has limited so many people today.

Myth 1: If you do not forgive others, God will not forgive you

This popular belief gotten from scriptures not properly explained, tries to make you the initiator of forgiveness while God only responds to your actions.

It puts you in the position where God only forgives you after you have forgiven those who hurt you.

While it is true that this notion was gotten from the Bible, it is also true that this on its own should never be used as a doctrine for the church today. Why?

The reason is because apart from the Gospels (Matthew and Mark to be specific) no other writer of the books of the Bible ever presented God this way, even in the Old Testament. God is always presented as the initiator of forgiveness.

Psalms 103:2-3 & verse 12 put it this way:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; as far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

The Epistles put it this way:

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of his grace.” Eph.1:7 KJV

We have forgiveness now according to riches of his grace, not according to how we have forgiven others.

Again in Ephesians:

“And be ye kind to one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Eph.4:32 KJV

Here we are asked to forgive others in the same way God forgave us. Not forgive so God will forgive us. Colossians reiterated this.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” Col.3:13 KJV

Again, here the motivation is to forgive others because you have been forgiven already not so as to be forgiven.

If that is true, why did Jesus make the statement in the first place, telling the Jews to forgive so as to be forgiven by God?

The answer lies in the audience. Jesus was speaking to the people of his day who were under the Law. He wasn’t giving them the presentation of the God of grace there, he was actually amplifying the Law of “do good get good” the Jews already had.

He had to stretch the Law of works the Jews were cleaving to in order to bring them to the end of themselves where they can reason, “how on earth am I ever going to be forgiven by God, if He will have to depend on how I forgive others before forgiving me? Including who are no longer within my reach so I can tell them I’ve forgiven them and even those I’ve forgotten about.”

Jesus amplified the Law for them to see how impossible it is for a human to achieve, merit or receive forgiveness based on his own efforts and then completely trust in God’s amazing grace for forgiveness. He was giving them a new Law or doctrine. (See Romans 3:19)

Myth 2: Since I am already forgiven, I need not forgive others

This notion is peddled by those who carelessly lift scriptures out of context, thereby misleading themselves and others.

In almost every book of the Bible where you are told of the eternal forgiveness you have in Christ, you are also instructed to “forgive others”, “walk in love”, “be tenderhearted towards others” and much more.

Because just as little children, we ought to initiate our heavenly Father who has taken the first step in forgiving us our own trespasses.

Myth 3: Forgive and forget

You have probably heard on or two people use this phrase before to beat people into pretending like they weren’t hurt and have forgotten what happened when in the real sense they still remember it.

Forgiving someone of their offence against you is not the same as forgetting it. While you can deliberately choose to let go of the pains caused you by others, forgetting it takes a little bit of time.

So if you are struggling to forget what someone did to you, quit the struggle and allow time take its due cause on your heart.

Haven seen all these, let’s go back to answering the first question “what do you do when you find it difficult to forgive someone?”

1. Feed Your Mind On How Much You Have Been Forgiven By God

Understanding that God has forgiven you your entire sins in life is very very important when it comes to you forgiving others.

A man who has not received the truth that his won sins have been completely forgiven by God will always struggle to forgive others.

Before you even committed your first, the very first one, God in His infinite knowledge knew you would. His knowledge of it does not mean He approved your doing of it, no not all. He hates sin and has no part in it.

But before you ever did it, He made a provision for a scapegoat on whom He will lay the punishment - His own Son, Jesus. Thereby freeing and declaring you justified (just as if you never sinned)

This is why one of the greatest names that revealed God’s true character in the Old Testament is the name, Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14). Jehovah Jireh here does not just mean our great provider alone like we have always believed. It actually means the one who sees ahead of time and provides.

He saw ahead of humanity’s need for a Saviour as a result of sin and provided His own Son, forgiving us of all trespasses - before any of ever sinned, confessed and pleaded with Him for mercy.

You need to understand and meditate on this so well it takes over your entire being.

2. Pray, Expressing Your True Feelings Over The Issue And The Person To God

Where God is, you don’t have to put on a clothe before receiving a hug from Him. You can come stark naked and He will welcome you with open arms.

What that means is that with God, you have nothing to be ashamed of or hide. You can show Him your wounds, even the ones eyes can’t see and tell Him where it hurts you the most.

No matter concerning you is too small or too big to gain His attention. He does not consider one case very serious and another less serious when it comes to you.

You are so special to Him that whatever grieves you is of utmost importance to Him. The same attention He’ll give you when people hurt you with a pin is the same He will give you when hit you with a truck.

So feel free to express how you feel about a person and issues to Him, trusting Him to lift the burden off your shoulders.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the God of peace, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

The moment you have expressed your true feelings towards the offender to God, the Holy Spirit takes over your heart, overwhelming you with peace - the kind that passes all understandings.

It is from this peace that the God’s kind of forgiveness which you already have on the inside of you will be able to flow out towards the offender, effortlessly.

The very first step in getting the spirit of success is to first define your own success. What do you want to achieve? Is it money, awards, changing lives, women or estates? Define it... with a definition you have a road map on which you plan on.


You must also understand that you must first succeed with little things before you can succeed with bigger things...


Now lets be very plain here...


The road to success is very bleeped up; not a smooth ride... they tell you success is like climbing up a ladder... sorry bro you have been lied to... the road to success is scary, full of traps and bombs, water and fire, enemies upon enemies, trust and betrayals, jumping and diving, running and hiding...
There are certain things you must understand so you don’t get frustrated in your pursuit of success
1. No one is going to fix you, you got to fix yourself

3. Life will never be perfect

Not one person will fix you, you alone will build your success tower as you encounter increasing challenges. No one will fix you because everyone is busy fighting their own battle, they don’t care how difficult your life is because they have theirs to worry about.
For success to be reached you must kill the entitlement mentality, no one owes you anything, you are not entitled to any share/part of anybody’s wealth, not even your parents




2. YOU MUST ACCEPT YOURSELF THE WAY YOU ARE
They say we are all beautifully and fearfully made... yes some persons are unattractive or scary to look at and they owe you no apology about it. Reason is because the real you doesn't start from your face but your mind. Do you have a problem with your looks? You are feeling unattractive? Well then feel free to have a facial surgery, change your skin colour but I promuise you that every time you look in the mirror, the first thing your mind tells you is “this can never be you”... you can change your face but not who you are.
Low self esteem is a curse that needs to be fought out of one’s mind if you wish to be successful because of you do nothing about it, it will breed and reproduce in your mind and get you tied to your comfort zone




3. LIFE WILL NEVER BE PERFECT
As a film director, one of the lessons you learn is that you can not always have what you want. I know many of us picture a perfect success, maybe a full luxurious house, expensive cars, super gadgets... success is step by step until the end, you can not always have it all, what you picture may not be exactly what you will get. Even if you get it all, from luxury house to expensive fast cars to super gadgets, you surely wouldn’t have time for some of these things which will end up lying hardly used or touched; life will never be perfect but it can always be better




4. THOSE WHO COMPLAIN MOST ACHIEVE LESS
Same thing applies to those who boast most... actions are better appreciated than words.
Since when has complaining solved problems, the best complains can do for you is advance into lamentations and attract sympathy for you because that all you deserve. Stop complaining and do something about your problems because if you don’t, no one will




5. NO ONE HAS IT ALL FIGURED OUT
In the road map of success there are lots of puzzles to be solved, some you would solve, some will take a while, but there are some you will never figure out; at this point do not waste much time on this part of life because if you do, you would prolong your success time and still wouldn’t figure them out
How do I end corruption?
How do I deal with evil?
How do I eradicate poverty?
How do I make the world love me?
How can I be the best?
How do I succeed without offending others?
Save yourself the trouble and move on with your life...




6. ENEMIES WILL ACCUMULATE#
Either you believe it or not, your success will become a thorn to some other persons. In life there is the ongoing competition of greatness, this is a struggle that will never end; just as you can’t walk through the bushes without stepping on the grasses, you can’t walk through success without stepping on toes or getting in other people’s way... the higher you climb, the more your enemies...




7. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL
You could be intelligent, smart, you could be lucky with opportunities but never proclaim yourself special in mind or in words. There are thousands who are better than you, you are only priveledged and not special. The same cancer that killed that guy can also kill you, the same accident that killed that girl can also kill you, you fall from the 5th floor you get broken to pieces, you get bitten by a venomous snake you die.
You are nothing but just a man working to enjoy life just like others




8. BEING TO KIND IS A WEAKNESS
“Bro please can I borrow you laptop?”
“I’m sorry you can’t”
“Please bro... I need to get this project done”
“I don’t give out my office... this is where I do my business”
“So you can’t help a brother”
“Sorry I can’t... go to a cyber cafe”...
What if you give out your laptop and it gets stolen, what would you do?
Too much of everything is bad... if you give women too muc h attention, you will begin to look like shit to them.
If you do not know how to say “No” you become used by others who would take advantage of your kindness
You must learn to say “NO” when its necessary and it must be confidently and firmly...
Saying yes to every Tom, Dick and Harry can lead to your own detriment and get you off success track




9. SUCCESS IS NOT ACHIEVED BY HARD WORK
The truth is, not every one will make it in life, this is because many are busy working hard not smart

You want to be a CEO? You want to be the boss? Then you must quit working hard and start working smart.
If hard work is the road to success, brick layers, conductors, street hawkers will all be rich because these people are hard workers
I knew of a woman who owned a large fashion firm with over 20 employees but funny enough she doesn't know how to pedal a sewing machine... hard workers will forever remain employees and not employers.

You cannot be a CEO if you are not smart




I pity slothful people; if hard workers are still struggling to get out of poverty I wonder what would be the fate of the lazy man


For every success you define, there are techniques and strategies to achieving them but you must also understand the essence of PATIENCE...

Indeed, living holy among ungodly people is possible. Joseph is one example of someone who lived a righteous life in the midst of the ungodly. As seen in Genesis 39:7-12, he lived under the same roof with an ungodly person who happened to be his boss, and yet he kept his integrity. Nowadays, some people who profess to be born again easily give in when pressured by their superiors to do ungodly things at work. They do this either to gain a promotion or because they fear losing their job, forgetting that the Holy Spirit said those who will live godly lives in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution (2nd Timothy 3:12).

They also ignore His admonition in 1st Timothy 6:6 which says:

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Sadly, in spite of what the Lord said in Mark 10:29-30, many people believe that to be born again is to escape a life that will experience persecutions. For such people, living a holy life is not a possibility.

What is holiness?

It is simply obedience to the word of God. When you are obedient to God’s word, you demonstrate faith in him, and your life will be pleasing in His sight. That is what holiness is all about. It was disobedience that took Adam from a position of glory to labouring under a curse. Take a cue from Joseph who in the face of deadly pressure said in Genesis 39:9:

“….how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

Daniel is another person whose life showed that living a godly life in the midst of ungodliness is possible. His actions in Daniel 1:8 demonstrate that living a holy life is a matter of personal decision. Some people would not want to join the police force because they believe all policemen are corrupt. This is not true! You can be a police officer and decide not to be corrupt. Some run away from being accountants so that they are not tempted to falsify figures.

How wrong they are! You don’t need to be an accountant before you steal the funds of an organisation. A governor who purposes in his heart not to embezzle public funds will maintain his integrity, whereas a messenger could end up stealing cans of coffee in his or her custody. Irrespective of your location, with Christ in you, you can live a holy life and enjoy the promotion that it brings, just like Joseph and Daniel did.

At such, clogged or bad air filter can make the car not to breathe as it should. This will compromise the power of the engine and hence, not be able to easily make it uphill. 



4.Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor:
The Camshaft Position Sensor calculates the camshaft speed and transmits this information to the electronic control module. That way, the engine control module can manage the ignition timing and fuel injection timing properly.

But if you were to have a faulty camshaft position sensor, then the timing on these two would be off. This would limit the engine’s power considerably and certainly make it harder to drive the vehicle up a hill.



5. Bad spark plugs:
Spark plugs provide the sparks needed in the engine compression chamber. Having  bad spark plugs can make the engine not to perform optimally. It can make the car struggle while trying to make it uphill.



6. Low Cylinder Compression:
High cylinder compression is critical for giving the engine enough power to get the vehicle up a hill. Low cylinder compression will make your vehicle always struggle when going uphill. The engine power won’t be strong enough to push it up there.

It will be disheartening to buy ur used iPhone and upon factory reset, you discover you can't login ur details to the icloud to complete set up.

These is what some guys are doing.

They will bypass activation lock whilst the device is still lock to previous users account. If you mistakenly format, or flashed such phone. It get locked to the previous account. In this case your icloud details will not open such phone cuz the previous owner was still registered on the iolcloud server and not yours.


So what you need to do befor buying your second hand iphone

1. Get the imei and run a check on either paid or free server to confirm FIND MY IPHONE (FMI) is off.

If FMI is On and on the phone there no icloud details in it. Buy such device at your own risk

If FMI is off, that's a good deal.

This warning also goes to my fellow software engineer. Befor you flash that iPhone, confirm the status of the FMI. Otherwise client may twist issues

Actually, being a beautiful thing created by the Almighty God, sex was never originally meant to be associated with negativity. However, along the lines, sex, just like various other beautiful things created by God, became perverted. So, it is necessary to first expatiate on the fact that it is perverted sexual activities/experiences that attracts negativities and brings death. Perverted sexual activities are those contrary to God's original plan for sex - which is that all forms of sexual pleasures must be shared between a married man and his wife in the safe circle of their marriage institution, with no other party involved.

In the scriptures, 1 Thessalonians 5:10 states: "Who(Jesus) died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him"

There are various things I intend drawing your attention to from this verse, even in line with our discourse.

One beautiful thing about Jesus Christ (whose resurrection was celebrated few days ago) was that He chose to embrace certain negative things so that those that believes in Him can enjoy the direct opposite of those things (which are positive). For instance, in 2 Corinthians 8:9, we were made to understand that He became poor that we should be rich. In Isaiah, we saw how He chose to be afflicted just to give us peace; He embraced discomfort to give us comfort. And in the above verse (1 Thessalonians 5:10), we saw how He embraced death so we can live.

However, I should restate that these are only for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and are obeying His commandments. Meaning, those that are yet to embrace Jesus and are still committing sin continuously, are slaves to death. And yes, sin brings death.

The Link Between Sex And Death

How does sex appear in the picture? As far as sex and sexuality is concerned, a lot of people are continually disobeying and going against the will of the Lord. Any kind of sexual pleasure that is other than the one commanded by the Lord, is a sin. What the Lord wants is that sex should be between a married husband and his female wife alone.

Which means, you are embracing death when you indulge in acts like premarital sex, extramarital sex, homosexuality, masturbation, pornography, and other dirty acts.

Now, you might say "But I know people indulging in these, and they are still breathing". Well, the reality is that there is a difference between simply breathing and being alive (many people you see around are actually walking corpses).

And actually, the 'death' being talked about is not just all about physical death, but the ultimate death (which involves being separated from God your Creator, and perishing everlastingly in Hell). So, sin (including immoral sexual activities like the ones listed above) makes one unholy and separates one from the Holy God. And if such persons should die without repenting, they will perish in Hell. And of course, we won't overlook the fact that immoral sexual pleasures can bring immediate physical death too (life-shortening STDs, death that comes while trying to abort an 'unwanted pregnancy', etc)

The conclusion of the whole matter:
Deuteronomy 30:19: "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live"
