chimoz: It happens everywhere, this is a rainy season.
Which everywhere? I've been on a plane that had to make emergency landing in another airport cos of heavy rain. There was not even a puddle on the runway, not to talk of the river Niger that is on that Enugu runway.

BTW: how did that plane manage to land shocked

Here you go. How to go about transferring your SEVIS payment is in the quoted box below.
Send an email to
fmjfee.SEVIS@ice.DHS.gov
OR

Mail to:
SEVP
ATTN: SEVIS I-901 fee CRU
Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Department of Homeland Security
500 12th Street SW Stop 5600
Washington, DC 20536-5600
Request for them to transfer you SEVIS fee from the old school to the new school. You have to quote the old SEVIS ID and the new one too.

I got the what I quoted below of the SEVP website. I hope it helps.
Put Fee Transfer in the subject line of your request. Give us your name, date of birth, the SEVIS ID number that you originally paid on and the SEVIS ID number you want to transfer the payment to, as well as a current, valid address Explain why the fee needs to be transferred. It will help speed your request if you include a copy of your receipt number. Include information on how to contact you if there are any questions.
SEVP will review your request and determine if the fee can be transferred. If your request is approved, you will receive an email or letter indicating that you can now print your updated I-901 payment confirmation at www.fmjfee.com reflecting the SEVIS ID from your new Form I-20 or DS-2019.
When you apply for any benefit where the SEVIS I-901 fee will be verified, you will need to provide a copy of the updated I-901 fee receipt.

stevecrun: You very right..nobody can predict these consulars.
It seems the new thing now in the embassy is administrative processing..two guys I know were placed on administrative processing on Monday, one certificate and the other bank statement.

Laura2014,you are in our prayers.
I don't wish AP on my enemy sef. The wait during that thing is nerve wracking and enough to drive someone crazy!

I don't understand which transfer you're talking about. Transfer SEVIS payment to your new SEVIS number or transfer schools?

laura2014: Well I thought as much but when the school sent me new I20. I question them WHhy my SeVIS changed. The admission officer told me formal sevis was cancelled since I didn't register for classes but told me I should go to the embassy with my formal receipt that I shouldn't have any problem.

She has my statement of account n bank reference letter.

School resumes next week Monday

I tried to explain to the VO that the school told me I shouldn't have a problem since the receipt with me is valid for a hyear even tho sevis # on receipt is different from I20. She told me to contact school or pay another sevis fee. Yes she said they will call me
Its weird for the school to have changed your SEVIS number simply because you didn't enroll. I suggest you contact the school and not mince words with them. Tell them what the change has caused you at the embassy and hopefully they will find you solution to it. Since you said school is resuming on monday, and I'm pretty sure the VO can see that on your I-20, just pray they call you back before that or otherwise you might need to get an extension letter or defer your admission when your visa is issued.

Fingers crossed, you'll get your visa cos your interview was superb.

Laura2014

From your transcript, I'm guessing the VO wanted to approve your visa but because your SEVIS isn't reflecting on their system she's holding off. She could have denied you out-rightly if your interview did not impress her, SEVIS paid or not. If I were you, I will pray really hard and check my email often. Be prepared to receive a callback from them very soon and hopeful it will be to bring your passport for visa issuance.

Okay. She hung on to your statement of account right? You should have no fear about that if the account is genuine. She probably wants to verify its authenticity probably because you have changed sponsors. Just pray hard and your visa will be issued. AP is just a means of verifying information.

new2020: Here they go again with their chewbacca defense mechanism when they can't compete, employing the same old, sour mantra....they are more academic inclined and educated. The last time I checked...SE and SS are now the most educated and lead in virtually all indicators of intelligence quotient and academic success...JAMB, NECO, WAEC, COMMON ENTRANCE( even young pupils under 11 yrs) and overall contribution as technocrats to Nigeria. You people have used this mantra as the most educated for yrs but academic stats year by year continue to rank SE and SS as NOW THE MOST EDUCATED. Tell us another behemoth lie!
You wrote all these stories because you wan start tribal wars? cheesy Do you even have a job? Lol. If not, go and find one cos I'm not gonna indulge you. Bye

new2020: Typical Yoruba negative comments. They can't compete, can't win and will rather resort to negativity and hate.
Because most of us will rather go to school, be educated and earn intellectual money rather than sell faces up and down Nigeria. grin

stevecrun: Joenice biko..
All this argument is so unnecessary..it all depends on where the sender is.I've not used money gram in receiving funds before..The last time I received funds via western union..it was sent from the Philippines.. my client paid 16usd
Thank You o. Coupled with that, he chose the bill-pay option to send the money, who wants to wait for close to a week to receive money (which will be the case if you use billpay or bank transfer) when I can recieve the money in minutes? And in Feexo's case he does not have the luxury of waiting for a week to get his money. I tire for some people sha.
