contactmorak: Concerned about the constant crisis rocking marriages due to poor sexual life of couples, renowned Kenyan sexologist, Getrude Mungai has gone on national television to show women how they can save their marriages in the bedroom.
The sexologist who claimed she wants to help women especially to keep their men from looking outside for sexual satisfaction demonstrated on live TV the latest and best bedroom positions she claimed can help tbem quench their men’s thirsts.
Getrude was on K24 TV channel giving tips to women whom she claimed have a habit of lying like logs of wood during sex on how they should spice up their sex lives.
In a bold and daring move, she showed married women how to change position during sex and all this was being aired on live TV. K24 TV Channel is owned by Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta.
See photos of Getrude below busy at work.. My friend, you seem hell bent on portaying Kenya(ns) in negative light. Why don't you troll sites from Malawi or i dunno... Madagascar for a change. FYI this program disappeared from the screens more than 7 years ago, so its not current. Stop misleading your people. |

naijalander: While Kenya is going for Vision 2030 (which to me is unrealistic), Naija has her Millennium Development Goals (MDG) set for the next 1000 years from 2000. Honestly I find it insulting you think Nigerians are comfy in misery, you think its easy to administer a nation of 170m people with a background of feudal political structures, cultural and religious dogmatism and never say die attitude, think again. Mgeni wa kujitongea let me explain something to you. 1. Vision 2030 is on track. 2. Vision 2030 is an internal initiative by kenyans to develop Kenya. The millennium development goals or MDGs are a UN blueprint for achieving devt in LDCs. They were supposed to have been achieved by 2015.Not for a millennium. 3. Vision 2030 took cognisance of the MDGs but were way more ambitious. 4. Several countries also have some form of vision 2030. http://lp.plexusnetwork.com/RPT_SAUDI_PPC_2016.html?gclid=CjwKEAiA0pDBBRCFtoPyguTh8AUSJADNWeuxrL_szy385oyBK0nT6sdVq8D-XNUZkR7Ul2sCTXqS8BoCMI7w_wcB, http://www.dubaiplan2021.ae/dubai-plan-2021/ 5. Vision 2030 has its detractors. They haven't presented any alternative. 6. Where is your country's vision 2030 or remote equivalent. Kenyanstar: I think the only consolation you have got in terms of superiority complex is the general population of Nigeria which has kept the common Nigerian to believe that it is a parameter of measuring "greatness". India has a populace of 1B with a GDP of 2.3 trillion, Singapore has a population of 6m with a GDP of 500b. Does that make India delude itself into calling itself a giant in Asia at all, NO! Indians dont use their population to bully other Asian countries due to huge population, NO. My argument is that Singapore has a much more dynamic social-economic policies compared to India and most Asian neighbors with the exception of South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Population or GDP base cannot be of any use if the general effect does not trickle down to strengthen infrastructure in a country. The poster called naijalander is a good example of what you are saying. They constantly throw that tired and useless GDP line. Don't forget the quality of life in Botswana and Namibia are much much much higher than 9ja, their smaller (gross) GDP notwithstanding. |

I can't call you my brother. By all measures, intents and purposes you are exactly what i suspected you to be.Repeating the lies you grew up listening to doesn't make them true. Again, i repeat for the sake of repetition : if you feel bile towards your host country, would you blame me or any kenyan for telling you to up an quit. I mean, if you walk around with these sort of attitudes, you must ALWAYS get into trouble with locals, it's better you just quit. |

That should define the extent of my social integration within Kenya properly.
Hopefully you are convinced now, I do have a lot of Kenyan friends I have these kinda arguments with but you guys set a different standard on being closed minded. *sigh* You don't qualify as someone who can comment on this topic irrespective of the above assertions. Why? 1. Social integration within a society by a non native is described by how well you know and understand the norms, cultural nuances and customs of the host society in relation to one's own. Clubbing or other hedonistic activities do not and can never define this, but rather explain one's lifestyle choices. I was expecting you to talk of how you have managed yourself or you could have even regaled us with tales of a faux pas or two in order to explain the cultural differences between us. Or how your dietary habits are seeing as you claim to be 10 yrs in Kenya. Or ones musical orientation in your adopted country. 2. One's ability in a foreign language is proof of one's interest and respect for his host nation. Do you speak any kenyan language, even a smattering? If you do, and are able to conduct oneself with ease in the common tongue:that is a sign of social integration. Where do you stand in this regard? 3. You cannot impose on anyone here ultimatums regarding the topic at hand without providing succinct proof or compelling argument. To wit you have made assertions more than once about 9ja having "stronger ' institutions. I counter that with one interesting but rather sad analogy. Both Kenya and 9ja are facing an onslaught from fanatical and dangerous terrorist organizations, but we both know that alshabab are a group that operates from across in Somalia to target kenyans in kenya in hit and run guerrilla tactics that for the most part are well contained nowadays, as opposed to the situation in 9ja where they actually took large swathes of territory and imposed mayhem on the general populace in the affected regions. A considerable swathe of territory. That can NEVER happen in Kenya. |

naijalander: Alright guys, this argument has gone on waay too long so I have a confession.
Quick background, I did school in Nairobi, I went to St. Christopher's in Ngong Rd then to USIU.
Over the years, I have always thought Kenya is a more comfortable place to live in for one reason; stable electricity.
So my final take is this;
Forget the stats about imports or exports o GDPs or Slums, Ports, Projects, etc
If you have ever lived in both countries (for an appreciable number of years, which I have), this conclusion should not shock you.
Kenya has stable electricity, Nigeria doesn't and its killing our way of life, our economy even our politics.
Otherwise, I sincerely believe Nigeria has a much more stronger institutions than Kenya, its just what it is. Do you have a close kenyan friend? |

Kenyanstar: KENYAS HEALTH SECTOR COMPARED TO NIGERIA
Courtesy Wikipedia Kenya’s health care system is structured in a step-wise manner so that complicated cases are referred to a higher level. Gaps in the system are filled by private and church run units.
1. The governments pays for all maternal delivery in all public hospitals 2. Children below 5yrs are given free treatment in all public hospitals 3. All district hospitals in the country provide free treatment & offer subsidized medicines 4. Kenya has the highest number of referral hospitals(97) in Africa, 2 biggest national referral hospitals in East & Sub-Saharan Africa 5. Kenya has 47 cancer centers based in all county's through the National government-County government health partnership 6. Free Tuberculosis treatment in all public hospitals 7. Free vaccination for all citizens in all public hospitals You forgot to mention we don't struggle with diseases like polio, unlike our hosts here on NL. We got rid of it eons ago. |

Litmus: Truth is, there are Nigerian experts capable of all the infrastructural developments going on at Eko Atlantic except maybe for the dredging and ocean protection walls. And i am even on record for advocating that Nigeria hand over any meaningful developments projects intended for Niger Delta to foreigners -some of whom have the most imaginative ideas for future urban development. It is not that Nigerians are not capable but because Nigerians right now politically and ethnically don't trust themselves and because, frankly there are better abroad. I am not one for self deceit or lies. We live now in a world where expertise can be viewed in modular terms. The British employed the former Canadian economist and finance minister for Governor of the bank of England. Nigeria could conceivably do the same because of the neutrality this would provide but not because we don't have financial experts.
Kenya on the other hand simply does not possess the in dept native expertise that Nigeria has, please let us not deceive ourselves. Nigerians exits that are capable of building echo Atlantic except for the wall and dredging. It's just that Nigerians would not trust them to ( ). And we have the wealthy Native people to fund equivalent projects if they so wish. Lebanese are welcomed but not necessary. Nigeria has the Native (meaning black people)doctors capable of any surgery any native Kenyan is capable of and also those their Indians and Arabs are capable of too. I so happen to like Kenyans, Ugandans and Ethiopians but the truth is Kenya relies heavily on Indians and Arabs. The difference is that Nigeria can do without Lebanese and Indians, we have the black expertise in almost every field.
I haven't bothered to look, but if i do, i bet there would be Indians and Arabs lurking behind those Software developments in Kenya of which they are so incessantly verbal. Nigerians on the other hand, in the next decade, will be equal to the best the world has to offer. Everything you have written is CRAP! Why bother to even respond. One day you shall wake up and discover there is an Africa beyond your LGA, and you shall be a very depressed man indeed. Btw kenyans have "eaten book" properly, expertise exists in every field of human endeavour, it's not uncommon to find unemployed masters and phd holders. So STFU |

ULSHERLAN: Atlast!!!
Something good coming from Kenya Actually Kenya is chock full of good news. This kind of news is the norm, rather than the exception here. Most of what folks read on NL is peddled by faceless and nameless morons and is raggedy gossip culled from like minded websites and sleazy media masquerading as "news". Does that represent the picture of a nation? I would advise you to follow respectable news outlets from there to get anything called news. These are mainstream media outlets ,just to mention a few that instantly come to mind: http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/category/41/healthhttp://www.the-star.co.kehttp://mobile.nation.co.ke Am sure one can navigate their way around those sites to get the news that interests them. That being said, it's always a pleasure to see medical science make advances, and even better to see people who only a few decades ago, would have almost certainly not make it to live productive lives on account of physical deformity. Kudos |

Many kenyans are very enterprising and 90% of the people have more than one revenue stream. You wouldn't know this because you like generalization esp with the dismissive attitude towards an "African " country. If you should step here one day remember to treat the next man/woman with respect and not the arrogance your countrymen are famous for.
