In Ajao Estate, Airport road Lagos, light is non existence especially towards Osolo way/ Mechanic village/Aswani axis. The only time there's is small light is the week they bring the bills. We have decided not to pay any bill until when they install Prepaid meters. If an organised, well laid out area like that is without meters, then something is wrong with Ikeja Disco. We will not pay for darkness!!! |

Why are you so sure that the husband is out there looking for what the family will eat? Are you there with him? That he travelled out of town does not necessarily means he went for business. |

What the Professor is saying is the need to restructure Nigeria. Restructuring does not mean break up or disintegration. The emphasis is on DISCENTRALISATION.
Restructuring is about development, about healthy competition among states or zones, about accountability from the leaders, about looking inwards to solve problems instead of waiting for hand outs from Abuja. It is about discipline and about carrying every one along.
We cannot continue to do things the same way and expect different result. Those calling for restructuring do not hate Buhari at all. They are only concerned about the progress of Nigeria. |

franciskaine: Hmm, if only this can be achieved. For Governor Ambode to succeed in this drive, he has to start with the Police in Lagos state. The Omo Oniles enjoy the backing and support of the Police to carry out their nefarious activity. They intimidate and harrass land owners and builders because they know that the Police is also part of the game. The land owners and builders are therefore helpless as there's no where to run to and nobody to report to. |

histemple: I don't even understand why Okorocha described the late woman as a "heroine because it took over a hundred men to kill her". Was there anywhere in that report where it was recorded that the woman fought them until she was overpowered?
Was he being mischievously sarcastic or just wanted to make mockery of the man?
Again, if OkoroHausa wanted to help, why was he emphasising the readiness of the state government to give the woman a befitting burial instead of supporting the man who lamented to have lost everything? And a good way to help the man is to relocate him to his home state and set him up in some sort of business and give him accommodation. |
Crime › Re: Lekan Shonde To Stand Trial For Wife’s Murder – DPP by murmee: 9:56am On Jun 26, 2016 |
naijadeyhia: Our legal system is a joke. This is why I love the western world and forensic analysis. How can they conveniently leave out what the coroner discovered during the autopsy report where he clearly stated the deceased had water in her brain which is medically known to cause respiratory failure and heart attack as the water applies pressure to the brain and are now focusing on her external bruises even when the same coroner also said those bruises could not have caused her death. Water in the brain is caused by what is known as Water intoxication, also known as water poisoning or dilutional hyponatremia, it is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside safe limits by over-hydration. Under normal circumstances, accidentally consuming too much water is exceptionally rare. Nearly all deaths related to water intoxication in normal individuals have resulted either from water drinking contests in which individuals attempt to consume large amounts of water, or long bouts of intensive exercise during which electrolytes are not properly replenished, yet huge amounts of fluid are still consumed. Moreover, water cure, a method of torture in which the victim is forced to consume excessive amounts of water, can cause water intoxication.Water, just like any other substance, can be considered a poison when over-consumed in a specific period of time. For example, in 2003, Walter Dean Jennings, a freshman history major at SUNY Plattsburgh, died while pledging to a campus fraternity. On his last night of hazing, the 18-year-old was forced to drink gallons of water through a funnel, which caused his brain to swell from water intoxication and ultimately resulted in his death.
If indeed she engaged in a marathon sex romp for a weekend then its possible that she consumed a large amount of water quickly over a short period and this caused water poisoning.
This man may end up being jailed for what he didnt do as to me this case is a case of accidental self inflicted death on the part of the deceased. You are a typical Nigerian man. Always quickly playing the infidelity card against women to cover up their bad behavior. Mr man, why did the husband not show up when he was informed that police had invaded his home? Why was he hiding? If he was innocent, he would rush home to see that his family is ok. The obvious answer is that he knew he left a dead body at home before taking off. As for you, OP, I pity the women in your life! |

Okada riding on expressway is not a JOB iI is suicide. Most times elderly citizens and children have to be assisted to cross roads (not express) just because of okada riders. Shopping in Balogun, Idumota, Jankara axis has become a nightmare because of the menace of Okada. I believe Okada should be banned nation wide. |

TeamSimple: If your identity is that primary to you, why wait till the Muslims got their victory before clinching on it? It's very obvious in this case that CAN is just trying to shoot a scene where there's no camera. It is simply because there is a standard uniform which all students, irrespective of religion should wear. So what victory are you talking about. Muslims are known to create trouble in peaceful environment. Uniforms should be the same. No variation. |

Dakad: One of our major problems in this country is religion intolerance. I'm a christian and a devoted one by the grace of God but I don't see why the issue of hijab should be causing problem. Moreover, these girls are only covering their heads not their faces. We should learnt respect everyone for who they are. And south west is so unique in a way that in every family who will surely find someone from the two major religion. So why the headache. You probably need to check your dictionary for the meaning of Uniform. As long as there is a uniform for students to wear, there should be no variation. |

omolola15: Are those Christian schools public or private? If it's private I'll understand. But once it's a private school that does not make it a Christian school. Or how do you define Christian school. I really want to know. Once something is public. That means it's open to every race and every religion. I can not be a Muslim and bring my Daughter to your private Christian school and insist she wears hijab. That'll be stupidity. But i dont think there's anything like a public muslim school or public Christian school. If you attended a public school in lagos I'm sure there'll be girls with hijab in your school. Your submission is not correct. Public schools in Lagos do not allow hijabs. The matter was decided in court. There is uniform for students in public schools. You might want to check your dictionary for the meaning of uniform. If those schools were completely taken over by Osun state government, the names of those schools should have been changed. A school cannot be called Baptist or St. Mary's college and you now find hijab wearing students in such schools. It is absolute nonsense! |

paulsir: fashola exhibited maturity that aregbe did not have.He said muslims with hijab shd go to muslim schools and not christian schools. Those that want hijab, nigrab and others shd abide by law.Hijab was not in the law of nigeria but school uniform. To add to your post, let me state the universal dictionary meaning of UNIFORM. Uniform means - equal, alike, identical, consistent, in accord, of one mind, conforming. The opposite of Uniform according to the dictionary - different, disagreeing, variable, erratic, deviating, uneven. The Missionary schools did not invite. Muslims into their schools. Aregbesola took Muslims to Christian schools. He should have summoned the courage to cancel school uniforms and change the names of those schools. A school cannot bear a Christian name and you find Hijab wearing students in the same school. It doesn't make sense!!!!! |
