The PhotoShopper did not place the head well; makes this look silly IMO. |
signz:Old friends here sounds like OLD WINE. At least, he is a man of his own (to a reasonable extent). I trust the media to give us different unconfirmed scoops just to generate frenzy but I do not expect a visit to the British PM be 'unplanned'. The guy has got a calendar. signz:Na wa o, such type of reports can only be 'gathered'. How many people dey the summoning? Assuming this is true, then you need to lol when you remember you outgoing president who was perceived as not being able to have a ![]() |
No employer will employ you if they need you not. Except it is a shady business where they have to justify the 'labor costs, trust me, the employer knows what s/he's doing. If you are new there, I would say such employer is assessing the kind of person you are. What are your goals? Of what value are you? You must remember that irrespective of the level of your output, your remuneration remains a fixed cost to the employer which must have been budgeted for. So such person must have considered the 'financial strain' your 'doing nothing' strategy will cost. Like someone said, take up responsibilities. Add value - even if this value changes not your remuneration, it can never be taken from your EXPERIENCE! |
ctuagent007:They all belong to the AIM Group. I thought Chocolat Royale's Management published a press release in the papers about this some days ago Claiming that the expired items were found in the director's home and never used for production. This is gonna be a big blow on their reputation if true, just like the Indomie 'killer' days. Dominos etc, watch out. This should also be a reminder to the poor eateries out there. So unfortunate that our regulators 'sleep a lot. |
Goodkidd:Please go through my profile and read my comments in the Career section. Not to smack of arrogance, I am not a kid here. I have said my bit. #EndOf ![]() |
Goodkidd:I have taken a keen interest in this thread. I also had to 'cringe' when I read this comment of yours. This quote of yours is a pointer to what can disqualify you by any company. You do not have any idea of how much companies lose to 'compromising' standards. Goodkidd, I have been on this forum for a looooong time; do not get it twisted; if any employer is able to track a candidate talking about 'selflessness' when it comes to standards, they will blacklist you. Forget it when you tend to believe that it's a 'playground' here in Nigeria. Think everyone is 'bad' but when they want to use 'bad' against you, you'll be stunned. Coys may not ordinarily want to follow standards etc but when regulators slap them and competitors use it against them, then you'll realize that in business, you play your cards fairly. I don't need to go far to obodo oyinbo; you saw the way CDl crashed back then and recently, BGL. All it takes is a petition, reaction or action to hit you. Even in companies, all it takes is for someone to use the policy against you; the auditors/investigators come in, they make their findings, you're indicted and given the boot. My advice - you do not need to justify cheating on the basis of 'selflessness' or 'helping others', what is wrong is wrong, what is right is right. Do the right things. #QED |
dlex21:Fellow Nigerians and corruption. The guy just taught his fellow 'colleagues' how to cheat. SMH awistle: |
Mannylex:The employer is not calling you here because they are still reviewing. There's nothing you can do here; if you do a follow-up, (i.e. No. 6) you do not need No. 7. #MO |
'Supporter of GEJ' - is she a Nigerian or not? ![]() The guy was so proud to show off his knowledge on Facebook that he gave himself away so easily. I think more needs to be done to those 'thinking out loud' dangerously on social media and think nothing can be done to them. |
Do not attempt to use pitiful threats to 'blackmail' people. Please, read the first sentence carefully; I chose them carefully too! You are not going to die if you don't get a job, you would die (except it's your appointed time) if you commit suicide. What I would tell you is to have hope; as much as that sounds 'typically Nigerian', I would say it again. Your story is not new as others have had worse experiences. We have to consider the consequences of our actions; if you really love your wife and child, consider the mental consequences the effect of your suicide mission will cost her. Anyway, back to the topic, in all you have written, you have not been specific . Job pass job; do you want any kind of JOB You seem to be looking for a means of sustenance and not a JOB from your write-up. If in doubt, what I mean is you have not specified what kind of job you want; you just want a JOB! |
One thing that makes APC different from PDP is the use of THE MEDIA. The problem with Africans is that they do not know their history; they are not documented, they are largely orally transmitted. El-Rufai wrote a book, OBJ wrote a book and now, Amaechi has his. Truth is, when people are quoting facts in the future, they'll all quote these publications as references; not inferences! Politicians and public servants need to learn from this. |
By the way, always include your sauce (sic) as one needs to discuss with facts. The OP brought up a report from: http://reportsafrique.com/2015/05/transparency-intl-rates-president-jonathan-govt-as-best-says-buhari-obasanjo-govts-worse/ The basis of their report can all be found from: http://www.transparency.org/research/cpi/overview |
I think we've got a big problem here; though probing the past is highly necessary as we need to know where we are coming from, my question is, just like the elections where guys were campaigning with '85, are we moving forward or what? This is not a competition - OBJ has served his terms, GMB is about to do same, GEJ is rounding his up; we need to put GMB's government 'on fire' based on our current problems and promises he made. This template of FINDING By the way, this CPI started in 1995 so except maybe the GMB tenure you are comparing with is a 't+10', the basis of this Afrique Report is faulty! |
This report needs to be sacked for excessive ___ (fill in the gap). |
The sample size is too low to qualify for 'some youth in Nigeria'. Moreover, education is free online; they could redirect their argument from Twitter to Google ![]() |
Gboliwe:Summed up my opinion. Though The Nation is not a tabloid but a newspaper, this report is too brief and the sample size is so inadequate to make such headline. The reporter went to a cyber cafe operator who gave a flimsy excuse of 'time' and dodged giving us enough examples from public offices. Well then again, The Nation is Tinubu's paper and APC's media outlet. So I'm not surprised; I just don't like unnecessary frenzy being played out by media guys. |
Scrollmeout, don't let this opportunity scroll past you! I see more of sentiment here but don't let this becloud your objective. The question you should ask yourself is: if your friend was not in the picture, would you have applied for the post? If yes, please apply then manage the post-application process with your friend. Don't dull yourself o. The guys conducting the interview are well aware of the organisations you come from. If you are who they want, so be it. Embarking on the 'do nothing' strategy will result in: 1. Regret (or bit of jealousy) if he eventually gets picked. Though this feeling can wear out gradually if you're a good friend, you'll still have that 'inaction feeling' in you. 2. Your career is in your hands. If this job will up your career, why not move on? After all, have you not asked yourself why you both got to your present coy? Truth is, if I see you as a threat, I'd rather not tell you about how to apply I'll only tell you the result.3. As long as you're not doing anything to sabotage his efforts and you let the employer be the umpire, I'd say my guy, forget that thing jare! No be him papa get the company. As guy man, use scope tell am say u don apply. |
Hmmmm, I would like to have the source of this story. Nevertheless, this just comes to mind when one considers the circumstance of the story: People Deserting People or is it People Deserting Party ![]() |
So society seems to have endorsed cray things with 'savvy' words - Baby mama, single mom, smooth dads etc. Well done, it's when these children grow up I'm interested in. 2 Face comes to mind here - the more we give credence to the anomalies, the more dysfunctional we want our society to be. |
The same Buhari that was wished death, 'stoned' by Patience, rubbished by FFK Say something else. . . |
You need to take note of your company's policy on expressing public opinion and political linings. |
Please get medical attention not social media attention ![]() |
Ikoyi is the nearest I know you can get for now, that is, Awolowo Rd. VI is more of a commercial area than educational. |
tochukwuifeduba:This is nothing but blasphemy. Those who followed the Nigerian Civil War know that a Nigerian Soldier called to duty fought for Nigeria against a region that attempted/wanted secession. Stop misinforming people please. Whatever your grievances are, stop this. By the way, if you really want to move on with this, this should be moved to the Tribal/Racism section. |
GEJ my man of the century if only somebody was sane enough to toe his line four years ago 800 lives would have not been lost, churches and mosques will still be standing. If only somebody remembered the powers of a C-in-C, this person would ensure Nigerians were well protected and security was paramount during such occasions. Such person will not allow rascals and hoodlums a free reign neither will the person allow the instigator go scot-free without ensuring that JUSTICE is served well. |
And this pic will go viral till his Mum gets to see it ![]() |
Urgggghh. What a long boring list. These appear more like SPECULATIONS to me, not SPECIFICS ![]() |
And the other filling stations on the same highway are not yet closed due to post election crisis? ![]() |
