You should go and get a life and stop this point less propaganda. Stop selling what is not sellable.

6years and failure. You are the one posting, the one commenting, the same person praising yourself.

Aregbesola is a grand scam. Even his APC governor colleagues are learners...they're awed about his methods of stealing!

HealthRe: Everything You Need To Know About Sore Throat + Basic Home Treatment by mytym(m): 10:01am On Nov 03, 2016
Adekanyeope:
Sore throats, alluded to by medicinal experts as "intense pharyngitis," can be brought on by various diverse infections and microbes. Around 70% of sore throats are brought on by infections, for example, frosty infections and other upper respiratory tract infections that taint the tissues around the throat. Sore throat is described by pain, distress, or scratchiness in the throat, frequently connected with pain while swallowing.

Causes of Sore Throat

Sore throats are usually caused by inflammation or infection of the pharynx (pharyngitis) or tonsils (tonsillitis), but may also include other areas surrounding the throat, such as the larynx (laryngitis).

Most sore throats have infectious disease origins, but some can result from breathing in dry, cold air through the mouth (for example, during the winter) or from having a foreign object stuck in the throat (for example, a fish or chicken bone).

Most sore throats are caused by viruses. Many occur at the beginning of a cold, when runny noses drain down the back of the throat and irritate it. Sore throats can also be caused by actual infection of the throat, such as strep throat, which is caused by bacteria (Streptococcus).

Basic Home treatments for Sore Throat

The good news is that most sore throats do not last long. However, a few home remedies may be useful for providing relief:
Drink warm liquids, such as honey or pap
Gargle with warm salt water (half teaspoon of salt in 1 cup of water)
Drink cold liquids or suck on Popsicle (for some sore throats)
Suck on hard candies rich in Vitamin C
Use a cool-mist vaporizer or humidifier
Take over-the-counter pain medicine, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Note: Since most sore throats are caused by viruses, they cannot be treated with antibiotics (which are specific for bacterial infections). In fact, antibiotics are not recommended unless the infection is definitively diagnosed as a bacterial infection, usually through a positive strep test or bacterial culture of the throat

I have sore throat regularly.
It's usually the first of 3 stages of my sinus ailments, followed immediately by cough and catarrh.

Recently I discovered that once i gaggle small quantity of Vodka, the sore heals faster than taking OTC drugs. Pls has anyone experienced same?

Also I checked on STREPSILS and discovered alcohol is part of its constituents.
RomanceRe: Different Ages Of Unmarried Guys And The Way They See Romance. by mytym(m): 10:02pm On Oct 24, 2016
Toks2008:
Romantic relationship is a major developmental milestone in our lives. It comes with all the other changes going on in our lives from our adolescent stages to adulthood in relation to physical, social and emotional factors and are linked to growing interest in our body image, looks, independence and responsibilities.

As one who had gone through teenage years to adulthood,I can confidently say I have a clue as to how guys see romance from the teenage years to adulthood and while this may not apply to every guy,it holds true in most cases so I present to you the different ages of guys and the way they see romance.

18 to 23: I call this stage the clueless stage
Guys at this stage don't even know what it means to be in a romantic affair other than the trills of sex and unfortunately guys in this stage are highly irrational emotionally and will not think twice before taking any action.Ladies dating guys in this category should be ready to have their emotions toyed with because nothing good usually comes out of it.

24 to 29: This is the unserious stage.
Guys at this stage tend to be very unserious and can be very indecisive because they are too young for commitment A guy at this stage usually have many ladies clamoring for his attention. Any lady who becomes sexually careless with this set of guys should brace up to be a baby mama because settling down is not in their plan as many of them are still trying to find their bearing.. Most guys who marry at this stage are forced to do that probably after putting a lady in the family way and she proves hard to discard. Ladies looking for a real romance have a slim chance with this set of guys.

30 to 35:This is the decisive stage for guys.
At this stage even if they are still willing to play around, the family will be drumming it into their ears the need to start a family.Any lady regardless of her age who wants to have a purposeful romance have a good chance with this set of guys and any lady who is lucky to be with this set from their 20s may count herself lucky. Many guys in this set are focused and have come to realize that there is more to life than chasing skirts around and the reality of becoming a man will Inadvertently force them to be responsible and while many of them could still have few ladies lurking around them, they would have singled out that special lady that will be his wife.

36 to 40:This is the overdue stage for guys.
At this stage many of their friends are fathers or happily married and every single lady they meet becomes a potential wife as they can't help thinking about settling down...It becomes a shame for this set to mention that "girl friend" word without getting ridiculed and attending family meeting will be a herculean task due to the stigma of being single at that age. If this set of guys woo a lady then she can consider it a marriage proposal. If you know you are not ready to be his wife please tell him quickly because this set of guys really need a wife.

41 to 49:This is the desperate stage.
Most guys who are single at this stage better have a good reason to be else the world will see them as strange. For this set it is very easy for any serious lady to have them because most of the guys in this set are very vulnerable and do not have that strong push to woo ladies about but will be glad to have any serious minded lady to come into his life. Many guys in this set are either widowers, divorcees except few who have other reasons. If any single guy in this category woos you just answer by saying "I do" because the next thing is marriage.

50 and above:
I honestly don't know what to write here but it is believed in Nigeria that if you are still single at this age and you are neither a divorcee,a priest or a widower then you are on your own.

I will stop here.
Guys in these age ranges (23-25, 26-29) dont have same priority as far as marriage is concerned. Their actions may appear similar but their motive and inactions are very different.

Also those between 29-30 nko? Az in >29 but <30 smiley

Keep Quiet! I know good Muslims that prostrate, besides Aregbesola is just as devout in Islam as he is in deep black fraternity.

He's so occultic and I can only describe his fetishism in superlative terms. So there are other reasons, not bcoz he's moslem

Before, the late Ooni of Ìfé died, Senator Iyiola omisore doesn't prostrate to him or anyone...(there are negative consequences they so claim will happen if he should prostrate for anyone).

Squatting is more acceptable especially when the person greeting is recognized by law to be more powerful than the King. A governor can dethrone a king under Nigeria Constitution...

Governor oyinlola used to prostrate to all the Kings in Osun...The Kings specifically had a meeting and begged him not to prostrate for them again.

He replied that he's a prince too and understand the place of culture...

TravelRe: My Racism Experience During A Vacation In Russia by mytym(m):
ERONX:
It all happened on the 10th of October I left home in Ontario and decided to go on vacation in the beautiful city of st Petersburg with a childhood friend of mine who is White. When taking our usual tour walk with our complete papers and tourist passport, I observed that most people along the street kept on staring and moving away from us especially me....

We later discovered we've missed our way because we visited most of the tour centers with our map, so we decided to ask the locals around for help. When I approached them for direction, although we had issues with language difference they would just grin and shout out loud, some would run away and avoid me from getting close when I tried asking for direction.

I finally discovered I was been avoided because of my dark skin colour, so i asked my friend to do the questioning while I stood far away but there was no way they could help even with the map due to the language difference. They offered assistance by pointing to a police stand we went there with the intention of asking for direction, the two policemen shook hands with my white friend but ignored shaking hands with me, after giving us directions on how we could get a cab that will take us to our hotel, we thanked them and we were about leaving the policemen called us back and asked what I'm carrying in my backpack. I told him I have my papers some money and my lunch. He took the bag from me checked it himself he saw my papers were complete yet he refused returning my backpack, i got very angry and asked him to return my backpack yet he refused my friend tried pleading yet he refused...

What made me angry was because he didn't ask for the contents in my friend's backpack when he saw how furious and angry I've become, he returned the backpack and started raining abusive racist word in both Russian and English. I threatened him I would file a complaint to the Russian Police, and told him I would file legal actions against him. After threatening him, he stopped the insult and in a few minutes a police car drove to our scene i believe the locals around contacted the police. A superior officer from the police vehicle apologised on his behalf, he was also asked to apologise which he did reluctantly the most embarrassing part of it was when all the drama was unfolding the locals around gathered to catch a glimpse of what was happening while others took pictures.

We finally got back to the hotel I was very angry all through, I had to reschedule for the next flight and I went back home the next day.

All through my lifetime I have never been subjected to such a degrading and embarrassing moment.

RACISM IS BAD #SAYNOTORACISM
Whenever i hear sad tales of racism from victims, i find solace in this song by John Stephens (John Legend) and Lonnie Lynn (Common). The song titled GLORY is written as a soundtrack to the movie SELMA - A movie on Disenfranchisement of Black Voters, their pains, struggle and victory...

One day
When the Glory is come,

Oh One Day
When the War is Won,
We Would Be Sure, We Would Be Sure

O Glory!

Gbam!

He won't do it. I told my neighbor yesterday that, ultimately it is difficult for anyone to prove that the judges are not corrupt but Everybody knows there's an underlying motive for their arrest however unknown it is, not that buhari is fighting corruption.

The current CJN is bowing out next month and the most senior Supreme Court judge who is next in line was among the alleged. Whether he's found guilty or not he has been strategically disqualified.

Its not a coincidence that he would have been the only Southerner since 1987 that will be CJN.

There are many more corrupt judges, but they will never be on DSS list so long their on the Saint side..doing their bidding.

Reasonable folks know DSS' s game plan especially in the case of Hon. Justice Onnoghen J.S.C. He is the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court and billed to succeed Justice Mahmood Muhammed this November. They however want to take him out of the equation so that Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad can succeed. The "establisment" does not want to reliquish their 29 year hold on the Judiciary.

If I had been invited by President Muhamnadu Buhari or Professor Paden to the book launch I would have mounted the podium and said as much. Sadly I was not.

Permit me to end this contribution by making a suggestion to Paden. Since he wrote about Jonathan's campaign funds and alleged all manner of corruption concerning their source and application, in his next book on President Buhari I would suggest that he sheds more light on how his subjects own 2015 presidential campaign funds were sourced.

For a start he should tell us who provided the 10 million USD that was paid as consultancy fees to the company of Mr. David Axelrod, President Barack Obama's erstwhile campaign manager.

He should also tell us the source of funds and how Buhari and his team managed the 19 billion naira that was given to him in cash by the then sitting Governor of the leading and largest state in the south west and the 24.6 billion naira that was given to him in cash and in one day (which was recorded on video before being handed over) by another leading south western politician.

In addition to that he should tell us precisely how much the then Governors of Rivers and Kano states and the present Governors of Ogun and Kwara states amongst many others contributed to Buhari's campaign and where they got the money from.
Since everyone is claiming to be holy and righteous in this matter let us all get there and publicly exchange notes. After all the Nigerian public, and indeed the entire world, has a right to know.

If Paden fails to ask those questions and declines to provide the answers then he, his accursed books and his questionable and dubious "white-washing" mission of President Muhammadu Buhari shall undoubtedly remain damned forever.

Whether he does so or not other governments that will come to power in the future in this country will not only get the necessary answers but they will also do the appropiate thing and bring them to justice. It is only a matter of time.

There have been many versions of reports about the ownership crisis and political fights bedeviling Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso. Majority laden with sentiments and half-truths. This is what Alaafin of Oyo has to say...

"The Okeere of Saki, Olugbon of Ile-Igbon, Aseyin of Iseyin, Eleruwa of Eruwa, Olubadan of Ibadanland and myself all have similar and equal rights on the educational heritage of Lautech, the same way Timi of Ede, Ataoja of Osogbo, Orangun of Ila, and the great Ooni of Ife can speak on behalf of Osun state as their sons and daughters study/work in the citadel of learning. The call by the Soun of Ogbomoso through his subjects for disengagement is an untimely invitation to war between brothers; Osun and Oyo are like Siamese twins, as a foremost traditional ruler in Yorubaland, I will preach peace to the striking unions, the university management headed by an Oyo son, Sulaiman Gbadegesin and the two governors. At the appropriate and appointed time, LAUTECH will be ours, for all in Oyo state, we can only achieve and earn this idea with patience"

EducationRe: LAUTECH: We 'll Not Let Go Our Joint Property - Osun Assembly by mytym(m): 10:37pm On Sep 30, 2016
fastnewsng2016:
Osun State House of Assmbly has said the state would not let go, its joint ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) after it has invested hundreds of billions of naira into the institution.

The Chairman, House Committee on Education, Folorunsho Bamisayemi made the declaration on Wednesday at a press conference to address the issues of the joint ownership crisis of LAUTECH.

The Assembly, which blamed the people of Ogbomosho Community, the host town of the university for fuelling the crisis, said, "we honestly want to believe that the unconscionable attempt to take over the ownership of LAUTECH by every means possible is being orchestrated by only the Ogbomoso Community which erroneously think that it owns the college but not the entire good people of the two state".

Recalling that the crisis was started by the past administration in Oyo State under Adebayo Alao-Akala, an indigene of Ogbomosho in 2010, he said, the attempt was challenged in court and the Supreme Court in a judgment delivered on 26th of March, 2012 declared that the university was and would always be jointly owned by Oyo and Osun states.

According to him, it would therefore be illegal and become a contempt of court for Oyo state alone to unilaterally lay claim to sole ownership of the institution without the concurrence of Osun as a joint partner.

He said the sustainance of hostility after the government of Oyo has failed in court and tied it to Osun’s inability to meet its obligations due to the economic crisis was inhuman, especially, when Oyo has also been defaulting from meeting its financial obligations to the institution.

"Osun has fully, consistently and timeously met her obligations to LAUTECH over the last 25 years out of the 25 years of the university's existence. Inability to pay over the last one year was due to national economic problem which equally affects Oyo State.

"In 2010 when the University needed the partners (Osun and Oyo) to inject N900 million each for the payment of monetization and personal allowances of workers, it was only Osun that paid her own share of it, while Oyo has not paid her own share till date.

"The statue setting up the University recognises only one Teaching Hospital and situates it in Osogbo. Oyo State has consistently refused to contribute a Kobo to the sustenance of this Teaching Hospital since the Alao-Akala government set up the illegal Teaching Hospital at Ogbomoso and Osun singularly maintains this facility with a monthly N200 Million.

"The State of Osun has invested close to N2 Billion on Capital projects in the Teaching Hospital while Oyo State was busy investing in a parallel, but illegal Teaching Hospital unknown to the law that established the University.

"It is obscene and perfidious, effort by Ogbomoso Community to unilaterally take over LAUTECH and push Osun State out of the joint ownership after investing equally in the project for almost 26 years", Bamisayemi said.

Noting that the Osun government has kept quiet in the spirit of brotherliness and pan Yoruba nationalism, despite being treated by Oyo government as a junior partner in a joint ownership where the same amount of subvention is being contributed by the two states for the past 26 years, he said such investment would not be allowed to go into extinction.

He also added that there were some infractions which ordinarily the Osun government should have protested but accepted calmly in the spirit of one Yoruba nation and regional integration.

"Seven and a half faculties of the university are located in Ogbomoso while only a quarter (some say half) of a faculty is located in Osogbo, State of Osun. In spite of this obvious lopsidedness we still contribute equal amount as partners and joint owners.

"The postgraduate school, the pre-degree centre, Part-time programme and centre for distance learning are all sited in Ogbomoso. The staff ratio is 1100 for Oyo state to 610 for Osun state. 16 TETFUND need assessment projects are in Ogbomoso campus with none in Osogbo", he emphasised.

Also speaking, the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Akintunde Adegboye said, the people of Ogbomoso and their supporters in Oyo state government were obviously mistaking the maturity of Osun government for weakness and foolishness, saying, "they will soon realise that it is not so".

He said the state Assembly was not folding its arms on the joint ownership tussle but decided to tarry on the matter in line with the spirit of brotherliness and Omoluabi ethos, saying, Osun would not let go the joint property.

He appealed to the Soun Ogbomosho and traditional rulers in Yorubaland to intervene and call those fanning the ember of discord into order.

The immediate past Attorney-General of Osun, Barrister Wale Afolabi who was part of the briefing, said any action taking by the Oyo government to unilaterally arrogate the ownership of LAUTECH to itself was null and void in the face of the law in line with the Supreme Court judgement on the matter.

He said, for any of the two states to take up the sole ownership of the institution, it must be with concurrence of the other state.

Also, the former Attorney-General under Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola administration in Osun, Mr Niyi Owolade, said, though there was a Memorandum of Understanding between Oyo and Osun on the splitting of LAUTECH, but with conditions which Oyo government has not met and could not meet.

Part of the conditions he said, was the fact that if there was going to be any division, Osun must be paid its share of the university within 30 days and moratorium of ten years must be given for the sake of students and staff of the institution.
Very revealing.

Seun, you are completely ignorant of the meaning of the contents of the Bible. I just checked frontpage now to see that this thread is now there and mischievously titled with 'naughty passage'.

To help your ignorance, I will provide an explanation but like everyone else you are free to take it or leave it. Know also that the Bible version you have quoted from is a heavily watered down version created by wicked people to keep the truth of the Bible obscured so that their slaves may continue to be slaves.

In summary, the songs of Solomon is the Bible book of a story of love between Solomon and his bride. Anthropomorphically speaking, Solomon is God while Israel (the people) is his bride. The real and true Israel of the Bible are the Negros who lost favour with God hence their devolution hence their present condition world wide today. God is the life and wisdom of Negros, but due to idolatry, we lost His presence and now grope about in darkness at noon, a lost people. But He has promised that His anger will not last forever, and He would regather us.

The time for this regathering is nigh, when the Negroes the true Israelites of the Bible will assume world leadership again, our birthright that was truncated for only about 2 days (2000yrs) will be restored to us.

Solomon is Adam, Israel is Eve. Eve corrupted Adam; Solomon's numerous women corrupted him into idolatry.
This is the Truth!

Flesh and blood have not revealed this to you.

They planned something like this some years back n they fail.. I could recollect, all they are saying then was 'Agboola must go, ABC must die'. Agboola is their Registrar while ABC Olagunju is now the Chief Bursar of the school, both from Osun state. All they are doing is to steal the rights of co-ownership of the institution.

Please, in ur own interest, don't allow them to use u for the actualization of a planned coupé. Placards carrying parents, especially those of Ogbomoso, Oyo State indigenes stormed the Senate building of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology earlier today to pour our their grievances over the shut. They demand the Oyo State government take over of LAUTECH, calling for the evacuation of all students from Osun State origin.
According to the protester, the protest was used to pass message across to the institution's Vice Chancellor, visiting Governors and other stakeholders.

"Oyo State owned LAUTECH, we demand the take over of the institution, since the Osun State Government has failed it woefully. We are bittered over the unnecessary shut down of LAUTECH. We urge the vice chancellor not to sell out Lautech to Osun" one of the protester, who spoke to us on anonymity said.
Recalled that the Ladoke Akintola University students have been sent home on mid-semester break since June, over non payment of lecturers and other workers salaries.

Oyo should just take over LAUTECH 'cos that's gonna be the best option in the long run. Students have been sent home since June 13 in disguise of break.
Osun should just face their UNIOSUN squarely. This will also help osun to pay her workers
It's not always that simple.

Well, I have read all comments and we all have our sentiments and objectives.

A university is created by law and the ownership of the school between the two states was birthed by law which means the agreement will have to be dissolved by law not through Jacobic methods of victim propaganda that one of the parties involved is portraying .

The ownership imbroglio had started around mid-late 2009 during Akala-Oyinlola respective tenures. This was because Governor akala wanted Oyo state to be the sole proprietor of the school. Unfortunately he's not lettered so his approach was cumbersome and crude. Also, Lautech had developed to be a household school at the time.

One of the deeds of ownership states that both States shall regularly promote the required responsibility for development both physical (structures) and academic.

There had been misgivings in 2009 that only Osun indigenes enjoy the medical services of LTH (Lautech Teaching Hospital) located in Osogbo. This naturally is correct because of its location and it necessitated a plan by the authorities of the school to build LTH Annexes in two 2 major towns of Oyo State (Oyo and Ogbomoso) while another new faculty structure (building) be added to the LTH Osogbo campus, totalling three (3).

The bill usually is 50-50, half-year arrangement which means a particular Governor will fund for 6months while the other follow suit the following 6months. Governor Akala released funds and instructed the authorities to build two 2 Solid hospitals , and 1 Faculty of Health Sciences housing fantastic structures...but ALL in Ogbomoso!

It was a callous and calculated move by Akala, he even equipped the hospital's with state-of-the-art medical gadgets but couldn't get the NMA accreditation because he was told machines won't operate themselves. Apparently he spent more than the normal 50/50 cost-share all in a bid to hijack the school. He later realized that ko le werk

Meanwhile Osun state had established another separate University with its main campus in Osogbo, but it was at its teething stage, also because both states contributed immensely to the growth of LAUTECH. It will be foolhardy to nurse an enterprise from conception and abandon it when it has blossom started bearing fruits. The founding fathers of Lautech had good vision and it was not by mistake the school was rated best state uni twice consecutively (The ratings greatly declined immediately after the ownership tussle ensued). It was simply difficult for osun to part away, just like that, not when the university has successfully register its presence and even if Osun was going to agree to the arrangement, the manner and approach of Governor Akala would have been seen as rather condescending.

So, in April, 2010 the crisis grew worse. The 3rd VC Prof. B.B Adeleke, an Osun indigene whose tenure was going to expire in July, 2010 was Sacked by Akala barely two 2 days after the 20th Founders Day and a convocation. Activities in the school was paralysed, we manage to finish 2009/2010 harmattan exams and went on internal strike just exactly as it is happening now!

Uptill that time 2009/2010 was the longest session lautech recorded(December 2009- December 2010). we had three different internal strikes in rain semester alone. As final year student, we were few and school was very scanty. I remember we would visit the Late Prof. Ayeni's residence every night to charge our phones and PC (School area @Adenike had been without electricity for most part of that session, about 11months thereabout) and read thoroughly all the News dailies to check for any iota of hope of the crisis been resolved and the school resuming.

The hope came in November, we read in the papers FG resolved the issue (however temporarily), the ASUU/ssanu/nasu congress finished their 5-hour meeting around 8:30pm that night @250LT. The strike was called off and rain semester exams started Dec 1, 2010.

Most people didn't realise that the joint funding had helped Lautech to rise faster than its peers. If you doubt this, try and compare with all other state universities established around the same period even some federal unis despite the crisis.

No doubt the partnership is going to end someday but not in the manner Oyo state is going about it.
You cannot force any party to leave...

It's not that simple, the ownership includes human resources, cerebral assets. Both teaching and non-teaching staffs are from Osun, Oyo and other states. Infact, the ratio of Senior nd principal officers in Lautech that are from Osun state is slightly higher.

The likelihood of FG taking over is slightly higher.
Even if the partnership will.be terminated, and Oyo eventually gets the deal, it will not be immediate, FG will adjudicate over it and I can bet it with you that terms and conditions may not be entirely favourable to Oyo state.
I just found this in my archive now, an excerpt of FG's inclination over the issue published in Saturday Tribune on September 4, 2010. There was a committee to that effect set up by FG in 2010, the same scenario is playing out now. The crisis subsists...

You mean the one in Ogbomoso is better equiped than that of Osogbo but lack human resources?
No, but In 2010, Akala was desperate to takeover the School completely hence tried to replicate everything available at Osogbo in Ogbomoso. He built the hospitals and equipped it well, but it failed ab initio because accreditation also involves having quality faculty members i.e experienced lecturers (Medical Consultants, Professors cum Surgeons in case of a teaching hospital).
He couldn't lure the ones in Osogbo to come to Ogbomoso so NMA in 2010 did not approve the teaching hospitals Akala built in Ogbomoso.

We lost only a couple of months in Ogbomoso that year but the medical students in Osogbo lost a whole academic calendar year.

Akala was already taking decisions solely meanwhile He was only a Co-Visitor to the school. That demeanor didn't help...

There can't be two Federal universities in a State.
I think it is a nice move
There's no law yet in Nigeria that says two Federal universities can't exist in one state.

There's Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo which has been upgraded by GEJ to a full fledged University of Education.
And there's Federal University of Technology Akure

Both in Ondo State.

Yea. i like your View about the sole ownership issue. Considering the economic situation of the state in particular now, My submission Is That will OYO state Government be able to solely finance the school such That the school will attain an enviable height among Tech schools in the Country..
Oyo state definitely cannot. Both States are owing anyways Osun is just owing more than necessary.
