Family › Re: I Think I Think Too Much... Is This Normal?? by mytym(m): 1:39pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
McBeal10: OK, so I'll start off by saying yes I am an introvert. and my daily routine is either I'm reading a book or being on the internet or watching a movie or just allowing my thoughts to consume me literally. Sometimes I sit and think or should I say creating a scenario in my head... like I'm thinking of how the future would be or I'm recreating a past event that happened (to me) and you know turn it to how it should have been? sort of. Sometimes I'm curious about the littlest things it just makes wonder a lot. like there's just mysteries in this world, hell the universe like what if there's another planet like earth and there's another me somewhere out there in space?....
well anyways is this normal or it's just me? Babe, is your zodiac Sign Cancer?
It's normal to overthink. Just make sure you 'choose' your wandering thoughts and don't let it choose you.
Also, try to make a memory of your thoughts...e.g get a pen, a camera, voice recorder... it could be anything that will allow you birth the expression. Those thoughts are Unbirthed Energies...
Those books and movies are energies you have absorbed, for a natural thinker you have gathered more than enough information and nature has a way allowing you to release them upon saturation...It's one of the reasons you over think. Just look for a pathway to release them.
NB Expressing them, will not stop you from over thinking...but it will give you a mental distraction which is antidote for overthinking...

So why are you regretting it so much. So true. As far back as 1983...jobs are very scarce for Geology graduates. My mom had to teach geography/chemistry with her Pgde for 15 years before she got a mining offer. |

Who can remember a similar post made by whitebeard ...whitebeard over 2 u It is not difficult to know he's either lying or deliberately wanted to discredit GEJ.
1. A true soldier, who saw action and lost some (friends, teammate or superior or subordinate) will be more concerned about his survival come next battle and not civilian's perception of his 'success'.
2. The BH issue is not unconnected with the discovery of oil in the Chad basin. It's largely a politically induced tactic. The military was deeply compromised. Loyalties were divided and it was obvious that as some forces both within the military and external are genuinely fighting the BH war, some other forces too both within the military and without are desperately sabotaging...it's very inappropriate for him to make public this kind of assessments even if they were true...and by trying to narrow it down to specific period will only advertise his bias for any government... PMB's experience as a general will obviously affect however big or small the perspective of the military under him as president fighting a menace.
Whether they're victorious or successful, the battlefield is fluid and casualties happen both sides, the military is covert in their reports...for reason best unknown.
It's public knowledge that our military lacked basic ammunitions and equipments, while logistics is largely poor...but this is was a result of over 30yrs misappropriation and corruption. He shouldn't give wartime reports like a lawyer.
What did obj do for military in his 8yrs. I still tell anyone who cares to know that the best thing GEJ did was the FOI bill that presently gave masses access to information. And this bill actually made GEJ the first casualty. We saw almost every actions and inactions under GEj and all the Corruption too...
I trust Nigerians will behead all past president/heads of state from 2007 traced back to Pre-Civil war period if they have just 10% access to information about what held sway...as compared to GEj tenure.
Assuming its 100% true, then this soldier, even by my civilian standards has said too much...he shouldn't be bothered about what we think or say. Nigerian Army is not the same as Super eagles... |

tdayof: Not even MIT has aerospace engineering under mechanical. Can you list the schools that have aerospace under mechanical?? Most schools has aerospace on its own or something like Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical , school of aeronautics and Astronautical Engineering. You can't put aerospace under mechanical. Purdue, Michigan etc. The schools you're talking of probably don't have aerospace engineering as a course on its own. Aeronautics and astronautical engineering are combined "most" of the time and not with mechanical.
About the electrical engineering you made mention of, most engineering deals with electrical doesn't make them under electrical. I'm not sure of the courses you made mention of but aerospace engineering itself deals with electrical alot too Both of you guys are saying the same thing from diverse perspective. The truth is Mechanical, Electrical, Civil are Grandparents when it comes to Engineering... Several other Engineering disciplines have been birthed from these ones. They are modern disciplines that still has roots deeply in the core engineering. These modern courses will have combination of courses selected from the traditional Engineering. For example Signal and Systems is purely Electrical Engineering but you will find many other related engineering courses include it in the syllabus because it is fundamental knowledge to their disciplines. Marine, Aerospace, Aviation, Aeronautical, Telecommunication e.t.c. The fact is before you can earn any engineering degree, one must have passed Credit points from Subjects/Courses that are drawn from these traditional engineering disciplines. In my department then, our courses included Acoustics and Sound Engineering which presently in some developed countries is a separate discipline on its own. One of my seniors then who was Mechanical major went abroad for his MSc, he posed for a photo in front of another department... The sign post was "Department of Wood Engineering". Apparently it's a separate discipline but is still under Materials Engineering and by extension Mechanical Engineering. The difference in your both opinions is probably the background or setting. You are citing Schools abroad which are better equipped to handle this modern branches while He's probably using Nigeria as a case study where most uni still do the core Engineering only. Like someone posited, it's an opinion it's not compulsory one accept it. |

ivandragon: Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, has revealed that, in his administration, the wife, Nkechi Okorocha, has control over four ministries of the government in the state.
Okorocha stated this when the correspondent chapel of Imo state, honoured the wife with the “most outstanding Governor’s wife award” Thursday in Owerri. The Secretary to the Imo state government, Mr George Etche who represented the governor at the event while singing praises of the achievements of Okorocha’s wife in 6 years also named the ministries under the control of the wife of the Imo state governor.
As part of his presentation, the ministries include, “Women Affairs, Works, Health, as well as the office of the Secretary to the State Government.”
Etche also went further to confirm the statement made by Hon. Chinedu Offor, a lawmaker representing Onuimo state constituency in the Imo state House of Assembly, in which he said that the governor’s wife deserved to be honoured with the award of “Nobel peace prize”
According to Etche,” We should thank God Almighty for given us Owelle Rochas Okorocha who has offered us free education at all levels. We should also thank God for given us his wife, Nkechi Okorocha for putting smiles in the faces of the less privileged in the state.” “It is difficult to see first ladies do this kind of thing. You see that over 200 widows have gotten houses in Imo state.”
In her remarks, the wife of the Imo state governor, Nkechi Okorocha while speaking on her pet project, She Needs a Roof Project, SNARP, according to her, it was a project for building houses for widows and the disadvantaged in the state, adding that “I am doing this because of humanity.”
“I am pregnant with something. I have a dream one day we will move around communities and we will not find people living in bad condition or in a house without roof.”
She could not hold her tears, when she explained that one of the beneficiaries died few hours the bungalow house was handed over to her at Aro in Okigwe Local Government Area.
“Hours we left, she was pointing at the SNARP project, meaning that she should be taken into the house and that night she was taken into the house, on our way that night we were told that mama has joined her ancestors.”
While expressing her joy over the award, she said, “I am happy that this award is coming from a group that has key into my vision. The only way Imo can be better is to have a media that can understand they have a path to play in the role of development of the state.”
“I discovered that with Imo journalists there is hope in IMO state.

I have read this thread over and over and I may have asked a few questions 3 years ago. This place I must say had very insightful information. Very proud of what you guys are doing and welldone. First off let me start with my profile
I am 26year old lady. First degree in the UK Works at one of the Big 4 consulting Firms Refused visa to the US twice (First time when I was about 10, second time in 2011 when I was studying in the UK) Parents are American Citizens now.( just got their citizenship last year ) Big brother is an American by work I don't have an immigrant petition I was at the embassy today (16th) for my visa interview and the questions asked were not the ones I prepared for as per the frequent ones that appear here on nairaland. The interview is as follows
Vo: Your Passport pls Me: pass my passport Vo: why are you going to America Me: to spend Christmas with my parents and brother Vo: your brother? I he a US citizen? Vo: so have you thought of applying to one of the offices in the US since your company has presence there Me : no I haven't thought of doing that and I don't intend to Vo: I'm going to issue you your visa Hands me white paper. My transcript is this long because I really want people to learn from it. I honestly know it's God's favour. I mean look at my profile. Shebi when i analysed the scheme in one thread, a lot of you insulted my generation, now who is laughing last?
To jog the memories of all Mmm ninjas, here are the stages of MMM i told you all about and back then it was in stage 3----
1) Create awareness and promise outrageous profits
2) Pay a lot of people to gain trust and bring in more people
3) Start an exit strategy by promising even more profit and bringing in more people (which they did by promising additional 20%)
4) Come up with a phony excuse and "CASH OUT"!!! Hmmm people like you are actually praying incognito that it crashes...so you can brag "I told you so" and you can quote your prophecies. Now it haf crashed abi, God bless you Sir. E wa maa lo
On a more objective note, MMM will crash but NOT now. The scheme is going to unfreeze withdrawable money come January, a lot more people will invest and experience a second Crescendo, after which It will enter pause mode gan gan.
Real Entrepreneurs take Calculated Risks...30-40% of members must have made enough money already that accommodates whatever loss if it eventually crashes.
About 10-20% of members have neither lost/nor gained anything substantial (those who are skeptical initially but eventually did it once or twice usually starting with small amount)
Another 30-40% are the doubting Thomases who probably waited till MMM becomes a confirmed truth before doing it. They are the ones who did it very late and with amounts usually not qualified to be their 'spare money'. They may lose out when it eventually crash.
NB: MMM didn't freeze anyone's money. They have only stopped nigerians from helping eachother tentatively...afterall their platform tell one Nigerian to pay another Nigerian while they earn from number of clicks and thanks to the unsolicited advert FG did on its behalf. |

Romance › Re: Help, I Was Raped By A Blind Man. by mytym(m): 9:43am On Dec 12, 2016 |
truthfinder: Hello Nairalanders,
I need your help on this and will try to make this post elaborate and concise.
I am a guy of about 30 and my greatest turnoff in people is dishonesty.
I got talking about life experience with my fiancée who is 26 years old and she told me a story about how she was recently raped (few months before she met me) by her totally blind friend who is about my age. She said she has had penetrative sex with only four guys; her first , second, this guy and me.
She said she went out with the guy on the said day and he wasn't pleased with the way she talked to his friends (politely/friendly) , he sees this as my fiancée given them a green light. This made her angry as she reminded him they were just friends ( her and blind guy).
She couldn't go back home and she slept in his place as usual (sometimes, she goes there to cook, and keep him company). She said she slept on the couch in the parlour and he slept in the room .she slept with only a top on as it was hot, though she usually sleeps nude or walk nude at his place knowing he is totally blind.
She said he came to her in the middle of the night and tried to apologise to her , heraped her two times in the course of this.( he came and still continued with the second round) I find this story very untrue as I doubt a blind man can achieve this with an adult woman. Two things:
Firstly she was already comfortable staying nude around him...which means there may have been touchery, kissing, smooching and all sorts. A mans sexual instinct is enhanced by sight but not lost entirely if the man is blind, infact other senses are heightened. So the blind man must have touched your babe severally and she probably has been enjoying it, looking forward to them having sex oneday.
2. Your fiancée raped the blind dude not the other way round... If he came once and it's him raping her and she was dumb enough to allow him(a blind man o) continue the act till the poor dude came the second time, haba! I think shes being setting the dude up for that day a long time before that night. |

Romance › Re: How To Get A Husband On Uber by mytym(m): 11:04pm On Dec 05, 2016 |
Naijasinglegirl: I just heard rumours that some girls have been quietly meeting their husbands in Uber and they have refused to make this information public so desperate single girls don’t ruin the system.
In fact, one of my friends have marked Uber as her number one place to tie down a husband in 2017.
According to my friend, her colleague used an Uber earlier this year and she and the Uber guy got talking like old buddies. When she was about alighting, they exchanged contacts and the rest they say is history. She is about to walk down the aisle with him in a few weeks.
“Uber drivers are on par with regular cab men! I don’t want to marry a driver.” You might say. This is false.
The guy she met has three cars he hired people to use for Uber. One of these cars was enrolled for UBER Select, the luxury and pricey service by Uber where a G-Wagon or Range Rover could pick you.
So rich guy was bored one weekend and he decided to do cabu-cabu with the Range Rover. That is how he met the girl!
If you’ve decided to try your husband hunting in Uber, take note of these tips. 1 If you want rich husband use Uber Black. 2 If your Uber Driver arrives wearing a marriage band, cancel the trip! 3 Sit in the frontseat beside the Uber driver and not at the back like a madam. No man has the time to be twisting & turning his neck to chat with you. 4 Be polite and act like a lady. Every single Uber driver is a potential husband. 5 Don’t use an Uber to indecent places. Even if the Uber driver is not interested in you, he might have an unmarried oga or brother. 6 Ladies, don’t use Uber with ‘your squad’. Your bestie might snatch your prospective husband before your very own eyes. 7 Act like a wife material whenever you are in the Uber of a prospective husband. Pray with him at the start & end of a trip, play gospel music from your mobile phone, speak in tongues to the driver. If possible cook in the Uber.
I wish you all goodluck

AntiWailer: Why didn't they buy during Jonathan's Govt.
He is a liar and his figures lack common sense.
Responsible Elder statesmen should watch their words. Are you a good student of history? Actually the northern Muslims only take Christian serious when such statements are backed up with action. When they know Christians will retaliate in SELF DEFENSE against any violence act, they couple. During GEJ tenure, the Sultan did NOthing to warn his folks after numerous religious clash...Everybody including CAN, Sultan are always quick to pacify the victims to shun violence for "peace to reign" but NEVER have they for once Sacrifice any scapegoat or punish them to serve as warning to others... Until Ayo Oritsejafor come up in the media and gave clear specific instructions to northern Christians to arm themselves with whatever weapon and PROTECT themselves in SELF DEFENSE against any violence, that's when the SULTAN realised it won't augur well because he is fully aware his folks (99% of the time) are the first attackers. Until then did the SULTAN quickly called for religious stake holders meeting with GEJ's representative and took CAN serious. Both oritsrjafor and Sultan knows if violence is mete with violence, they culprits will think twice before engaging in senseless killing all in the name of religion... But the region will be affected in socio-economic terms. The guys committing these acts are only emboldened the more when they go scot-free like in the case of the igbo shopkeeper whose wife was killed in the North and also the pastor's wife killed in Abuja... Not one of the culprit has been punished. When these guys know the xtians will be armed and probably going to fight back, they will STOP |

Johnnyessence: not surprised at all. Ogbeni will shock all of u called wailers and ranters that is ur job. We av buried pdp since seven years ago and we will continue to bury them. No hope for pdp in the south west. They will still lose ondo state on saturday to Apc candidate. Pdp d bed rock of of problem we are facing now. If clueless Gej saved in the rainy days we will av readjust and live this situation we find our selves since. We will surely meet in the incoming polls. U will see they way d masses love Apc and Ogbeni. We can not be settling for factianal chairmen that cares about themselves not the people. What they know is greed and pride which is killing them by the day. Pdp will always cry on election day when they see a develop and love party beating them in the poll. They will be scattering themselves up and down till they will change that party to another name. Wailer wait till twenty eighteen governorship election and know whatsup. Till then keep wailing. It's funny how you think everyone who bares the truth about your deceitful master is from pdp or sympathizer. That's one of your blindspots. Because you're a paid agent of apc, you assume every other person is pro-pdp, hence it's difficult for you to separate sentiments from objective truth. Keep drowning in your own lies.. Johnnyessence: wailer spotted. Pls let me inform u here osun to kwara state boundary is a federal government road project will be done soon. U will always be wail and rant. It is ur job. How could u be saying that what ogbeni did for six years is rubbish. I think u need to be checked ok. A governor that brought school feeding for d poor breeds. A governor that brought jobs creation to the people. A governor that encourage enterpreneurs in their works. A governor that make sure there is befitting education infrastructure. A governor that built health facilities edifice. A governor that built road infrastructure. A governor that brought new ways to do agriculture. I think u need to be checked. Keep wailing why ogbeni keep fulfilling his campaign promises to his people. No hope for pdp and wailers in the state of osun. In twenty years to come they will not smell that seat. You better save part of the money you're being paid, coz you may not get the next paycheck by the time your employer enters gallow. I can't take you serious because you're doing your 'job'. Aregbe will be shocked very soon. He knows he's fast becoming infamous but he doesn't know how bad his voodoo has been neutralized. Well, I don't blame him when his e-agents like youwon't give him the true feedback. |
