Romance › Re: Responsible Bachelors Are Hard To Come By In Uk by na2day2(m): 7:09am On Oct 23, 2009 |
newdeal: I thought to bring this worrisome trend to general notice, it may be useful for one or two persons.
The rate at which vastly educated girls of African [mostly Naija] descent, lose their senses of self worth and sink into compromising relationships in the UK is worrisome. Let us make some distinctions here; apart from girls who were born here, every other marriageable girl here is either a legal or a not so legal [my coinage] migrant. Those who belong to the later category are a different kettle of fish. That category requires special grace of God or special attributes to break into the class of the married! I am referring to those who belong to the first category. I work closely with a faith based NGO that deals with young adults and university students [counselling, career advise, job placements, etc] I noticed a lot of young and promising girls going into relationships that are patently doomed to fail. What do you say of a brilliant black university student running after a knife wielding Yob? [their euphemism for an aspiring criminal] or the one doing her MBA at the moment going out with a man who had 2 children from another woman he is not married to, but still see from time to time? She knew the relationship will not work, yet she is prepared to risk it, because there are no better options, These are just few of such cases. The obvious reason is that there not enough responsible bachelors around. The few who are legally entitled to be here are either pursuing their careers or are already married. Those bachelors who have no papers and are not married are either too afraid to go near the educated girls, or busy sampling white girls, leaving only a very few who are willing to settle down with the many sisters that can offer access to Red Passport.
My blunt advise to unmarried sisters coming over here ? Try and sort out your love life before jumping on the plane, to avoid situations like this. You are free to ignore this advise though, if your faith is big enough to see you through, but this is the reality!
i'm afraid u did not address the real source of the problem, so many thumbs down to ur silly write up https://images.clipartof.com/thumbnails/22163.jpg |

Pharoh: Do ladies share that thought as well? Hmm you really made a valid point there about the tradition aspect but do you mind if i ask what tradition you are talking about? Hope it is not christianity before it turns o another debate
Why? since when do we leave valuable life decisions to ladies? last time we gave them a simple instruction as "don't speak to no snake" what did they do? messed things up! if i wait for ladies to agree with me on life decisions, i will be in major trouble. they will cry that their voice must be heard in a matter (fair enough) but when wahala burst they are the ones that will blame u for listening to them and finish their statement with, "u didn't have to listen to me, i am just a woman but u are the man and ought to have taken charge". so for me, i take charge from the get go! as for the tradition, i wasn't talking about christianity. half of the so called christian rituals are not in the bible, ppl just slammed in their own ideas and called it christianity, e.g christmas |

Godmother: I wont agree with you there completely.Somtimes, love is not a decision. It happens when we least expect it and from someone we never saw in a romantic light. they call that lust, love is the one that still sacrifices when the romantic light fades or becomes dark and that is strictly a decision |

kinnkw: For The Ladies: CAN YOU CHEAT ON A GUY YOU TRULY LOVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART. I Had a girlfriend who said she loved me so much but i found out she cheated on me when we were together even before she left me for her ex. But now she is back begging me to take her back but i have rejected her. The Heart break was too painful. It is the most painful thing i have ever felt in my entire Life.(Still trying to get over it). I still have feelings for her but strongly believe she would still hurt me again and i dont know it if i can take it. As a matter of fact i dont think i can ever love a woman again. they have done it and cleaned mouth after the act |

chiogo: LOL you just proved me right. You bought your laptop after you got a job in a company? Dear, people here start owning laptops from high school or at least before going to college. What's college without a laptop? Homework assignments are mostly on there. The only reason a college student here won't own a laptop is maybe because s(he) is one of those freaks who never see the need for such stuff, they'd rather go to the library even at midnight to use the computers there.
You and I know very well that it's only teens whose parents are financially stable that own laptops in Nigeria. Or the ones into yahoo-yahoo.
Anywayz, this wasn't my aim in the first place. Was just explaining what the other poster meant to the honeric guy. I'm not trying to bash Nigeria or what not. I've lived there so I know. As for your other posts couldn't read the whole thing but anywayz, who are the so-called true Americans?? As far as I know, no one group owns America, that's why it's called the United States, true Americans my nyash!! Columbus stole it from the Indians, the whites used black, spanish, and many other ethnic groups to build the America we know today. Why do you think Indians get free education? Black, spanish, Asian, white, and other groups of people equally own America. so who cares? True Americans! LIMM. don't u think ur argument is lame? how many ppl here in the states actually buy a laptop with their own earned money when they are in high school? i had 3 powerful desktops(powerful in the terms of those days) when i was very young and no we were not rich, my mother just got us what she thought we needed in life. and lots of my friends had a desktop or laptop at that time. laptops most college students have now are dead cheap and spec to dollar are not worth the name they are label; my gaming machining is worth about 3 times what most college students run around with. now in nigeria, most of the young professionals i have helped to obtain a laptop get medium to high specs, so ur point doesn't hold water. if u don't have what to say go do some home work |
