A 35-Year-Old Man Identified as Samaila Ilu, has committed suicide over hardship in Jigawa State, Reports.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said the incident happened on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

“On 17/08/2023 at about 1100hrs, police received a report that a 35-year-old man Samaila Ilu of Dungun Tantama village, Hausa local government, left his house on 16/08/2023 to an unknown destination,” the PPRO stated.

Shiisu stated that Samaila's body was discovered hanging from a tree with a rope.

A Team of Police Officers took the corpse and transported it to the hospital for autopsy.

The Body was later released to his relatives for burial, the spokesperson added.

A Newborn Baby Girl was found abandoned under a tree near a hospital in Shira Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Reports.

According To An Elementary Teacher, Auwal Maisalati Shira, Wrote On Facebook, As Sighted By , The baby was left on leaves under the tree close to Ambara Hospital around 12 noon on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

The Baby was fully clothed and placed on a fabric.

Mr. Auwal said he and the social welfare officer of Shira LGA took the baby to the maternity ward of the hospital.

A 26-Year-Old Student of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ademola Ayinla Timothy, and two others have died in an accident along the Sagamu-Benin highway.

The Accidents involved a Lexus SUV marked BDG 979 HD, a Geon truck registered as LAR 730 XB, and a Toyota Sienna car.

Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

Odutola said the crash occurred at 6:45 am before the Babcock University junction along the expressway.

Odutola blamed the crash on reckless driving on the part of the driver of the Lexus.

“The fatal accident occurred when the driver of the Lexus car drove recklessly and rammed into the moving truck, and, as a result, the Lexus somersaulted,” she explained.

According to her, the Sienna hit the Lexus as well, trapping it and its occupants.

She explained further: “Ademola Ayinla Timothy was rescued and rushed to the hospital, but he did not make it; all affected and damaged vehicles have been evacuated and recovered to the station.”
