Actually a reliable source tells me for a fact they did not spend such a sum don't be ludicrous. So N2 trillion naira was not spent at all However they did spend the princely sum of 20 billion USD. Remember the 'dollar rain' of recent months? thats my |
I agree, where were the parents? what were they doing while she was being abducted? |
trillville:Look more like part of the missing N2 trillion to me |
Now we know why the budgets have been poorly implemented for years, they have been stealing and siphoning campaign funds over the last 6 years if not longer. |
We all know they plan for elections years in advance so 2 trillion is believable as far as i am concerned. All those who think it is unbelievable, think again.. the 'sharing of dollars' was rumour i guess since there was no official receipt issued so might as well not believe that as well. All those years of slowly tapping into federal reserves and collecting 'returns' from parastatals, ministries and state governors at the expense of salaries, pensions and national development Especially with 20 Billion USD missing etc. |
Can someone tell me is there a subsidy right now with prices so low? Surely global landing costs for petroleum products must be much lower than they were a few years ago so how much subsidy is being given? |
The native doctors are not happy with this report.. it is bad for business. Recent times have been more lucrative than the elections even. Not just politicians but the whole town coming to consult them ![]() |
that really isn't fair and should be condemned by all well meaning Nigerians. Such statements go a long way inciting problems. Its unfortunate but just as not all fingers are equal not everyone is blessed with good manners, respect for others and spirit of togetherness as a nation. Allow him wallow in his ignorance, hatred and inciteful nature. All we can do is bring up our children to think and behave differently, you can't teach everyone manners and decency. |
Yes I agree by all indications there was indeed a conspiracy to remove GEJ as an incompetent embarrassment of a president. Millions of Nigerians were part of it, on the morning of the elections, they all sneaked out of their houses and went to vote him out all over the country. Several people tried, from the Army to the Police to Mr Orubebe, to stop them but them were determined to succeed and succeed they did. The President true to form as his clueless self didn't see it coming so they succeeded. SO yes it was all one big conspiracy to deny GEJ of his 'constitutional rights' along with his corrupt and power drunk bunch of incompetent cronies. |
The king has no clothes!.. And no brains |
Bad market Bad karma |
So if Fayose spends his whole tenure fighting impeachment when is he going to govern and develop his state? All he is doing is making a reputation for himself and fattening his bank account. What is impeachment going to do for Ekiti state? Monkey come monkey go, banana go still miss from tree |
No sympathy for these lawless lawmakers. No one deserves their salary and other remunerations. Not a single one of them They are a drain on the state and nations resources. They have been paid enough over the years anyway The huge salaries were paid to these politicians supposedly to curb corruption but instead they have become greedier and corruption has become their second nature. Time to review the wasteful largesse afforded to this super elite class of citizens who make up less than 2% of the population but consume a considerable proportion of its resources, and with nothing to show for it either. |
The only amendment the constitution needs is a repeal of those laws giving 25% of the nations budget to that bunch of criminals called politicians |
No problem with that, it is called empowerment. Shows they took up militancy for a just cause and now they want to make a difference in their community. and now for the real reason.. ![]() |
The important thing to realise is no one steals vast sums of money on their own. From Governors to Ministers to Permanent Secretaries, they steal and are made to steal to pay their political godfathers and paymasters through a network of special advisors and personal assistants who are basically money launderers. These individuals hide away from the limelight as they have no formal duties and are not under the scrutiny of the public and toothless organisations like the EFCC. So no one has all the money in their pocket there is a long trail of corruption that heads all the way back to the Presidency in some cases. Where do you think Abacha got $8 billion from? He didn't draw it directly from CBN though he could as he ruled with impunity. He was collecting returns from every single sector of the economy to the nations detriment Berlusconi may be corrupt but he is also an entrepreneur and the biggest employer in Italy, our corrupt men have no such business acumen. They simply dump the money in foreign banks, fritter it away on women and houses on every continent and buy expensive cars and private jets. |
XBLadez:He got caught, that's the difference |
More grammatical nonsense than simple sense.. |
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine (colon). Irritable bowel syndrome commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation. IBS tends to be a chronic condition which can be managed with a variety of measures. It can also be intermittent and made worse by stress, smoking, alcohol, certain foods ie spicy foods, fizzy drinks etc Simple lifestyle modification measures addressing the above habits can be helpful in reducing symptoms. Also drinking at least 2.5L of water daily or more on a hot day (don't kill it, if your urine is colourless you don't need more water) regular exercise, a healthy diet, weight reduction and avoiding irregular meal times or missing meals can also help. Some people however require medication to control symptoms. Even though signs and symptoms are uncomfortable, IBS doesn't cause damage to the bowel or increase your risk of colorectal cancer. IBS can be difficult to diagnose or exclude from more sinister problems like cancer so if you have certain 'red flag' features it is important to seek appropriate health advice. The younger you are in general ie <55 the less likely you are to have bowel cancer but cancers at an early age runs in some families. Your doctor can discuss this with you further. Some Red flag symptoms include severe weight loss persistent vomiting Anaemia (low blood count) Passing blood in the stool Feeling of a lump in the abdomen Change in bowel habit this could either be new onset diarrhoea or constipation Severe abdominal pain Take responsibility for your own health and have a healthy month Please visit the following website for more information: http://www.aboutibs.org I am happy to answer any questions you may have |
Controversial politician, Wale Alausa is back as a lawmaker in Ogun State. The lawmaker who was involved in a blood oath saga with former Ogun state governor, Gbenga Daniel, has won a seat in the state House of Assembly on the platform of the PDP collecting back the mandate of the Ijebu-Ode constituency from incumbent Deputy speaker, Tola Banjo (APC). http://www.nationalhelm.com/2015/04/controversial-lawmaker-wale-alausa-wins.html Expect some more spiritual politics ![]() |
akinsadeez:So he has to recover his funds as soon as possible, I weep for the coffers of rivers state. |
All parties that had the means rigged in their areas of influence. As we can see from the several videos circulating there is evidence this occurred with the active connivance of INEC, party agents and officials, security officials and the Army. There are no saints in this matter be it PDP APC or APGA, LP or even INEC. Unfortunately the card reader though a good idea has its flaws. The rigging strategy was simple. Accredit the voters then drive them off with threats of violence and the thumbprinting frenzy begins The only benefit of the PVC was no single region could come up with excessively inflated numbers of collated votes so there was no domination of any state over the other and PDP could not record 5 million votes in Kaduna an APC stronghold and likewise APC could not record 5 million votes in Delta. The signs of rigging were an undue delay in release of results witnessed all over the country, disruption of voting in areas they were expected to lose and could not control the rigging process as well as a news blackout and lack of transparency from INEC Unfortunately, democracy has been denied its day in several parts of Nigeria again, we have to wait for future elections and the political will of the leaders to stamp out corrupt practices in the process but then power is addictive they never want to relinquish the stranglehold once they get there so Nigeria will continue to suffer God is watching.. |
kristisking:Elections have always been rigged, this is the first time people captured the many instances on camera several times over and released to the public. Remember who ever rigged is going to collect his money back from the state coffers many times over so it is a worthwhile investment for them. I'm sorry for the people, so much money has been spent in 'fixing' the elections it will be years before any development filters down to the people. Why do you think some states have stopped paying salaries for months? Funds have been diverted to the campaign, people are collecting bags of rice that were purchased with their several months outstanding salary and have not yet made the connection. Which do you prefer your salary arrears paid or a bag of rice and N5000? |
ozoigbondu:These ones fighting have obviously been paid, they have to show they are up to the task by killing one another ![]() Let them carry on, I pray innocent people don't get caught up in their battles |
Politics is the best business in Nigeria my friends. Look around you, you immediately join an elite consuming 25% of the income of a nation. Need I say more? |
OP, your Write up too long, this is an online forum not a newspaper. Edit your cut and paste next time but thanks for raising awareness. If you smoke, go to bed without brushing, eat late at night, eat smelly food, smoke weed or have poor dentition then assume you have smelly breath. Few people will tell you your breath stinks but you will become a pariah no one wants to talk to or kiss if they can help it. Help yourself by drinking water regularly, small sips taken regularly during the day not gallons gulped down in paranoia. Stop smoking period! It leads to bad breath, gum disease and rotting teeth. Always brush your teeth on waking in the morning and importantly at bedtime. If you can't brush after each meal at least use dental floss or chewing gum briefly, to dislodge food wedged between your teeth and freshen breath. Don't spend the whole day frantically chewing gum , if paranoid brush your teeth properly and use a good mouth wash, it doesn't have to be harsh to be effective. When brushing if gums bleed this is usually a sign of gum disease and proper brushing technique and mouth wash with regular flossing should soon stop the problem. Teach your children to brush properly from an early age and supervise them regularly. If they have teeth, can talk and hold a brush it is time to start learning to brush. If your breath stinks ask yourself what else about you stinks? Are you neglecting personal hygiene in general. Lastly check your own breath, breath into your cupped hands held over mouth and nose. If you think your breath smells terrible so does the rest of the world! Have a nice day and please don't forget to brush |
iyatrustee:So his politics is all about money? After people will complain politicians are 'chopping' |
Ekiti wars have started again? |
Now we are beginning to see the extent to which this cancer called Boko Haram had spread. Well done Nigerian army, you are working silently and people are sharing and counting dollars elsewhere looking after their own interests while you are restoring territorial integrity. |
She looks nice.. I think it is the extremes that look unhealthy and dangerous. Why on earth would you want a 14in waist? |
These are valid requests. I can't help that notice that PDP are not making such requests. The least they can do is make a statement to support INEC and wish for the successful conduct of the elections without interference from any third parties. Does this mean they are not interested in a free and fair election in Rivers state. we are watching.. |
They were sharing dollars instead of paying salaries it seems. Well you workers are also part of the rot so no sympathy really |
