AreaFada2: Usually, mothers encourage their daughters to go against their dad in such a way. No dad will refuse without good reason. In which family was the native wedding done? In the mother of bride's family?
I doubt anyone from Fani-Power's family will give her away without FKK's consent. I don't like FKK's ways and diarrhoea mouth but one has to be objective. To each his own. All i know is - if i am certain that i have found the life partner for me, NO ONE will stand between us. The typical Nigerian parent (or any parent for that matter) only objects to marriages based on: "tribe," "ethnicity," "family background," "social status," "religion" and other such useless arbitrary constraints that human beings use in dividing one another for no real reason. DO NOT let anyone else make your major life decisions for you. It does not matter who the person is. When the time to be miserable comes, they will NOT be the ones to feel the pain, but you. |
Jokes Etc › Re: What Is The English Translation Of "Oya" by NaLaugh: 12:21am On Jul 06, 2015 |
Addietunes: I spent my evening today with an American, as we were ducussing, I said "oya", he looked at me and asked me the meaning, I thought and thought and I couldn't think of an answer. I hope you guys in the house can help me. "oya" directly translates to "now." Not necessarily in the context of time, but as a subtle command. e.g "Now, leave this place."same as "Oya, leave this place."or "Oya, give me jist."same as "Now, tell me how it went down." |

Ask4Info: Not True.
Do your studies well. Even developed countries have laws protecting both customers and employee alike.
We have it in Nigeria but it is a toothless bull dog agency. I live, work and own a business in the U.S. As far as i know, there is no legislation which expressly dictates "courtesy" interactions between employee and customer. Employee protection laws exist, but do not apply in this case. Customer protection laws exist, but have nothing to do with courtesy - just the right to get/demand the product/service you have paid/agreed upon. Of course, harrasment laws would limit certain actions, and litigation is the order of the day here, so people have to behave or be sued. That said, quality customer service is the biggest focus of most businesses because as i mentioned earlier, the free market takes care of itself. Nigeria still has a long road ahead before customer service becomes a priority, but consumers have a major role to play in demanding the quality service they deserve. It's simple, if you visit Iya Basira on your lunch break, and she treats you like shite, don't return. Soon enough she'll be replaced by someone who can retain customers by being a courteous human being. |
Career › Re: My Experience With The Rude Female Employees At Visafone Office Today by NaLaugh: 7:18pm On Jul 03, 2015 |
Ask4Info: The senate needs to pass a customer Right Bill to checkmate all these rudeness from employees of all these companies . That is not the duty of the government by any means. The free market takes care of that. When you constantly receive poor service, it is your choice to remain a customer or switch to the competition. The bad ones will eventually die out. |
