kskpoundz:In my opinion, an educated hausa person has the most intriguing accent in Nigeria. For those saying - which of the accents? Well, non-Nigerians will find it nearly impossible to differentiate. Same way non-Americans often can't differentiate say a Boston accent from a New york accent, or a Mid-Western accent from a West Coast accent etc. Most foreigners categorize American accents into general American accent and Southern accent - that's all they recognize. |
Soon enough, niggs in Naija would be like: Madam, abeg, you get 1 Naira MTN? ![]()

iyabodeh:Those thighs though. If they're yours - then someone please pass me a tall glass of water. |
it depends on how you look at it. Here is my simplification of it: A "hustler" isn't necessarily an entrepreneur, HOWEVER, an entrepreneur is inherently a hustler. |

"Dem com again, dem com again o!.. ghen ghen!" - Sound Sultan. "e be like say dem wan to tell me another story again e o.." - Tubaba. "story for the gods.. the gods o.." - Olamide |
The album was all over the place. i can't say i like it. Other than "Brother," and "Human Being" nothing else was remarkably nice. He went overboard on the commercial angle. I guess he couldn't afford not to put Ice Prince's commercial success strategies to work. He dumbed down his flow, and ... aw never mind.. i'm outta here. |
nobilis:My brother, abeg hol' this 1 Naira. You dey yarn sense ![]() @Topic It does NOT matter what accent you speak in. HOWEVER, what DOES matter is the authenticity of that accent. What qualifies as authentic you might ask? 1. You CAN NOT (by any means) have an authentic accent specific to a society you have NEVER lived in for a significant amount of time (at least 5 years of verbally active daily interaction). 2. You do NOT consciously predetermine pronunciations and sentence phrasing while speaking. It is a natural flow process. Many OAP in Nigeria (as far as i know) have lived for significant periods abroad, so they should get a pass. However, the ones that SHOULD be called out are those who were born and lived their entire lives in Nigeria. Also, those who lived in some weird non-English speaking country, but fake an American or British accent. That's like me going to visit Naija from the U.S and talking with an Indian accent. Like - "my friend, this is wery wery nice" ![]() I would really love to listen to that "LAFA awards" the OP spoke about. Is it available online somewhere?

natureblack:of course it is meant to be humorous. HOWEVER, the part about phone manufacturers e.g HTC, Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola, Nokia... (gbogbo' won' ) giving me free phones AND more (during my 9-5 years) to make their brand look good?.... true shlt It's no big deal though.. just comes with the territory of the telecoms industry - especially when you work in the largest telecoms company in the world ![]() @topic Decent photos. I haven't seen a snail in a LOOONG time. I almost forgot they existed. |
natureblack:Dem pay you salary ni. Even in my 9-5 days when companies like HTC dey bribe me with free phones to hype them, i never do this kain advert ![]() i hail o! |
The problem with these thieves is they don't steal within reason. The most it would have cost (at an exorbitant rate) would be 10 million. Mainly for dedicated servers and equipment. I guarantee his office can not publish an expense sheet on the project. |
Unibenstudent:Not even close. |

Isn't GT bank supposed to be one of the best banks in Africa or Nigeria or something? edit: I tried that link shown in the pic, and it has no errors on my end though. |

TheCongo:Perhaps because when election comes around, they form a straight line, collect a small bag of rice and vote them back in? ![]() Nigeria has not had a dictator since Abacha. EVEN Abacha was not a western plant/puppet. His evil actions were ALL HIS. You can go on feeding the blame game all you want, rather than evolving. Making excuses is a counterproductive indulgence, and people who do so only advocate mediocrity and failure. |
fembizz:You're better off robbing a bank. There is no such thing as overnight riches. Work for your money. Build something, acquire a skill, sell something. |
Honestly, it is irresponsible for you to expect a business to provide "public toilet" facilities at their own expense. If you're not a paying customer, you should consider it a big favor if a business lets you use theirs. If they don't - it is nothing personal. If Iya Basira is your thing, then perhaps she's the one you should be mad at for not providing you with those facilities. |
In any attempt to excite engagement, you need to first do your part. In this instance, all you've done is state the obvious, and asked others to do the thinking. Start by proposing something out of your own ingenuity, and others might be compelled to engage. Good luck. |
diluminati:Did you read what the OP "intentionally stated"? ![]() |
Mine was "Eze goes to school" ![]() |
M4gunners:Honestly, i think this pic does not exactly help her. At least there would have been an excuse for her. But with this evidence, ...there is none o. There is none. |
Saw it some days ago. Not bad. It was a basic speech, but i like the fact that he did not put too much pressure on himself. |
