I wouldnt lie, it is really nice to read an article from Foreigners where they openly talk of Nigeria's Response and Competence to an emergency situation in positive light. It feels good.

And it rekindles in a small way, hope in what Nigeria can be. What has always been possible.

Whoever are the guys/ladies manning Nigeria's Infectious disease prevention should take a bow. They did a very good job with Ebola, and seem to be doing a good job with corona.

And by the way, if Nigeria successfully prevents this corona virus from been an epidermic event, I would be amongst the people who will give some credit, openly ans whole heartedly, to Buhari(very strange, right?).

Benin is one place that no Gov can mess around talkless of removing the Oba.

To imagine that is even impossible. Believe me.

The only way that can happne is if tbe Oba commits a crime that ia so grievous that it demeans the institution of the Obaship.

If that happens, it is the chiefs in Benin that would demand the coded "suicide" of that Oba and his replacement by his first son.

you are the one who said Nigeria is unstable, I simply said Nigeria is a Union of different Nationalty, Yoruba Nation, Igbo Nation , Arrewa Nation.. just like UAE , for 16 years PDP decided to have what benefited them in cash and looted it, Buhari is putting things to benefit his people, and just like trump puts his race first, buhari puts his supporters first,

in all multiethnic countries of the world where rotational agreement exist this is what you get, so you should hold the people you supported accountable(Jonathan) and not harass who we supported (Buhari) because quite frankly if Buhari decided to prioritise does who don't support him, they would jeopardise everything so that they can blame him
And yet in all human development index, the very people(northerners) who Buhari benefits(according to you here) lag behind the people(southerners) who Buhari does/should not care about. And the gap is widening!!!

Shouldnt that tell you something, about how beneficial Buhari and people like him has been and how beneficial the system that supppsedly benefits the north since independence(which you so shamlessly support here) has 'helped' the north.

Just saying......

The revision may boost the size of the economy by as much as 60 percent to between $384 billion and $424 billion, according to London-based Renaissance Capital Ltd., lifting Nigeria ahead of South Africa in the World Bank’s global rankings.
Whats your point?

Stop quoting things you are unwilling or unable to explain

Hold on, what was calculated there was the GDP nominal which takes into account the exchange rate to the dollar, if the naira becomes 150 to a dollar today, GDP nominal would increase. The 509.9 billion figure was when the naira was higher than this.

GDP PPP doesn't take fully the exchange rate to the dollar and it actually gives the real state of the economy, someone who earns 350k naira in Nigeria and someone earning $1k in the US, who do you think would be living better. In dollar terms, they're both earning $1k. This is what the GDP PPP evaluates and that's why our GDP PPP is over $1.2 trillion today despite the 470 billion as the GDP nominal.
What is your point please.

Yes, the figures quoted and compared are GDP nominal figures.

Nigeria’s economic growth beat forecasts in the fourth quarter, helping its economy to expand the most in four years in 2019 as oil output increased and the central bank took steps to boost credit growth. GDP in the West African country stood at $476 billion or $402 billion, depending on the rate used.
Mr man, what are comparing? Apples Vs Oranges.

The growth for last quarter of 2019 was bout 2.55%. That is low by Nigeria's standard. In 2014, growth was above 6%.

The reason it is the best in 4 years is cos other quarterly growth since this Govt came in has been even more dismal. And like i said earlier, it is an indictment on Buhari handling of the economy

I'm sure if it was Nigeria that was said to have gone into recession again you'd have been happy and cursing Buhari, Tinubu and APC.
Abeg go siddon abeg, Nigeria's economy is the largest on the continent and economic growth is getting faster, deal with that for now.
Do you know that this is nothing to celebrate here, and infact that this indicts this Govt??

Clue: In 2014, Nigeria became the largest economy in Africa and valued at $509.9bn whilst South Africa was $370.3bn.

Today, Nigerian economy has according to your report in the OP declined to $472/402bn i.e a decline of about $38bn( it would even be more if you take into account inflation rate between then and now).

The only reason SA overtook us was that our growth since then has been very sluggish with us entering into a recession(successive "negative" growth). The reason why you just overtook SA again is that they just entered their 2nd recession within the period.

In real terms, none of the countries grew.

So quit that Buhari worship. On the economy, as with almost everything else, he has failed.

When will the Govt realise that some of these so called bandits are ISWSP/Boko haram terroists who just changed location and are operating from the forests rather than Sambisa?

When the bandits were only Fulani cattle hustlers(some foreigners), the Govt did NOTHING. This Govt even seem to have , by its conduct or inaction, condoned these Fulani militants and their cousins from other parts of Africa.

Now that situation has attained a low intensity warfare with the addition of actual terroists who go and kill innocent people in villages indiscriminately. Now it is not only cattle hustling and land grabbing but we have a real terrible situation in our hands.

I thought they were paid a huge sum to become repentant. What happened to the money, not enough....they want morehuh grin grin grin
This is why you dont reward terrorists. Soon as their money run out they will escalate terror. Yet, Buhari did not find it odd when he told the rest of Governors to do what Matwalle did in Zamfara to restore security.

El Rufai gave them money to stop them from attacking Southern Kaduna and kidnapping for ransom. When the money ran out they took to highway kidnapping and ransom. Now that they want more money from Rufai and started back terrorizing Souther Kaduna.

Masari in Katsina invited bandits to surrender weapon in exchange for money and forgiveness. The bandits did not surrender their assault rifles.....instead they surrendered locally made dane guns that fires gun powder and pellets. They used the money to acquire more assault rifles and expanded their recruitment. Now they have more members than before the forgiveness.

Matawalle in Zamfara banned Hausa vigilante group and invited fulani bandits to government house for negotiation. After their meeting he called the commander of the military operation and told him to stop assault on bandits. He announced and said bandits are now repentant. He announced a huge allocation out of Zamfara budget to go towards rehabilitation of repentant bandits. Bandits released their kidnapped victims, including some district heads. Few months later, they went back and rekidnapped all those district heads and the people earlier released. One district head lost his son to them while he remained captive. They said government had not honored the deal. They started back raiding villages. When military commander renewed his assault on them they crossed into Katsina and started going village by village killing people and abducting district heads.

Northern leadership should be blamed. When they realized the rest of the country acted unconcerned they started exporting their bandits Southward. There were several cases of towns or villages waking up and finding truckloads of unexplained fulanis in their community. It happened in Obudu, it happened in Enugu, it happened in Ondo.

Look, this is not a Nigerian problem. This is North problem to deal with. By cajoling this rubbish the rest of the country is acting as an enabler. Our leaders need to tell Arewa Elders and Nothern Forum to find solution to this issue locally. If they want to reward and rehabilitate unrepentant terrorists, fine....na their problem...let them deal with it over there.
But you supported Buhari vigorously even when you were told and shown of his history of incompetence. Not even when you saw 1st hand how narrow minded and bereft of ideas he was in his 1st term, you still supported.

At that time, when this mindless violence from bandits and fulani herdsmen were affecting some parts of this country, you and your ilks felt unconcerned, even made fun of those victims.

Now that ghe madness has taken a more national outlook and is affecting your very backyard, you are now writing epistles and preaching!!!

The SC rule itself says it can review its judgemnt if there are "errors in the judgement".

You are saying the SC will allow an innocent person die cos it cannot review its own judgemnt. How dense can you be?

The worst that will happen is to stop the execution, refer the case to the lower courts for redetermination of the case and then reverse its judgement if it gets back to it.

Should Apc zone their presidency to SW, if somebody like Osinbajo have the Apc ticket, average SS and SE will prefer Osinbajo than any candidate from the north ( That's a fact)

You see the 2015 that you online supporters see as betrayal of South, Politicians didn't see it that way cos same South came together in 2011...

So , there is possibility of southern politicians to come together by 2023

As you can see, 2023 SW presidency is already in the bag..
What are you guys going to gain if the Presidency comes to the SW in 2023?

Since this is the main motivation for the unreasonable support some of you have for a disastrous Buhari.

What did you guys gain from the Presidency of Obasanjo? What are the people of Katsina currently gaining from Buhari's Presidency?

This is no Flu

This virus has an incubation period of 14 days where the infected do not show sign of illness but are still highly infectious.

This virus has been shown to be for life just like HIV. That means the infected even after treatment can still relapse and infect others.

Most worrying is that it affects male fertility which means males who get infected, but survive, become sterile and so can not have children.

Ebola will keep you down for about a month after just a day of exposure thereby limiting spread.

Every successful virus needs to be docile and not kill the host before it goes pandemic.

You do not know how dangerous this contagion is.
It is obvious it was a designer bio-weapon tailored for massive culling .
Be very afraid. This is not some random flu but a well engineered cutting-edge bio-weapon designed for mass culling.
Am usually not one for Conspiracy theory, But this is exactly what i have always suspected since this virus came out.

I suspect that it is an experiment that went wrong and leaked out in China.

Ebola was fought witb same system that was set up for the fight against polio. It was a system developed by the FG under the former Minister of Health. It was a FG led effort, through and through.

Fashola, and Amaechi, contributed to the effort i their various states under this system.
