The Bible is very inspiring even though as Christians we get very lazing about studying it most times. Have loads of favourite Bible verses but the day I saw Jeremiah 9: 23- 24 (Amplified version, it blew my mind) Jer 9:23-24 ( Amplified Version) Thus says the Lord, let not the wise and skillful person glory and boast in his wisdom and skill Let not the mighty and powerful person glory and boast in his strength and power Let not the person who is rich (in physical gratification and earthly wealth) glory and boast in his (temporal satisfactions and earthly riches) But let him who glories, glory in this: that he understands and knows Me (personally and practically, directly discerning and recognizing My character) that I am the Lord, who practises loving kindness, judgement and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight says the Lord. |
fali:YES, u will need a court affidavit to confirm that ur marriage certificate is truly missing if there is no way to get another one. bunny22:What were the documents u used for admission into the school? if it is ur NECO results as well as the notification of result then you need to find a way to get these documents becuase that is what will be written on you CAS letter from the school. |
no i.nuraia:The poster is a bloody scammer, if you visit the hospital link he provided and you check out the list of doctors, there is no Dr S K Khanna on the list though there are two doctor Khanna, but with different initials and one of them is in the cardiology unit while the other is in the O & G unit, so am just wondering when a cardiologist or an O & G specialist started dealing with cases of leukaemia. said that the Sudanese authorities raided their homes at an unholy hour of the night, during which they were individually arrested and detained for 50 days, before their eventual deportation. He said that while the detention lasted, they were all subjected to sub-human conditions and fed only once daily, adding that they went through excruciating pains for the mere reason that they were residing in the country, without resident permit. We're just being mistreated left and right. How can you say we are being mistreated left and right see the bolded part in the original post. Do u know is a crime to be in any country without a permit to resident in that country at all. Pls Nigerians lets use our brains to think |
Blu Malam:This is indeed a very myopic way of looking at things, What do you mean by so Sudan actually have airlines?? The war in Sudan has taken place in majorly just one part of the country which is Darfur, so why wont they have an airline cos a part of the country is going through a war Mind you am a Nigerian and I wish people will be more broad minded to things happening around the world and not just be contented in their little comfort zones.Akosbaba:Mind you every country has its own immigration laws ok, if the Sudanese govt says the people deported were illegal migrants then there is every need to deport them, I wish people won't just yap their mouths in every matter but consider the matters critically before talking, if the Nigerian govt gets some Sudanese that are in Nigeria illegally, then they shouldnt hesitate deporting them, is as simple as that. |
Big B1:I want to believe that some of these figures are cooked up and not real, is the NPC crazy how on earth can states like Jigawa, Borno, Zamfara, Kastina and all those others end up with such high figures, were the cows/goats/sheep and trees in those states also counted along side human beings? As for IBB he is a goner, even if the elections are rigged and he succeeds in becoming the president, he will DIE in no time, pls someone should remind of almighty Abacha incase his shallow brain has forgotten so soon. And for the IDIOTS that are supporting him, they should go on, the little naira notes they are given will not be used for any reasonable venture, it will vanish like a whirlwind. |
hey poster, you know is not everyone that can read/understand this your shorthand writing right? so please when you rewrite in long hand for everyone to read and understand then you can get more help. cheers |

Moi-moi I guess is one of the healthies meals we have in Nigeria, but if you are starting a food outlet and want to introduce moi moi on you menu, pls and pls do not use beans flour for the moi moi, do it the natural way as in wash the beans and grind and use, this is because beans flour does not come out tasting like the real moi moi at all, and watch out that you donot use so much oil and donot kill over the ingredients, cos when all these are too much in moi moi, it just does settle well in the stomach. Well this is just my opinion. Cheers! |
gsomi:HI, Thing is you can still use the account for your salary and withdrawals as long as the money does not go below the stipulated amount you are required to have, it is even better the account shows some level of transaction activities. But remember that the stipulated amount should be in the account for 28 days before you submit your application even if other transactions are taking place on the account. Justwise said to ask your employer to pay you by cheque, I doubt if any employer will do that especially if it is a big corporation you work for, but if you try that and it works, fine if not just stick to what I have said above. I asked around before replying so is not just my opinion Cheers and God's speed in your endeavours. |
yhemmmy:Moderator please move this to family or education section. |
saddor:Go to the UK border agency and check out that information. If you want to go to a school. is your responsibility to check out everything about the school. Please don't expect others to do it for you. Check the site. |
gsomi:The money MUST be left untouched for the 28 days. |
saddor:Go to the visa section on the website and find out what you are required to take to the embassy Cheers! |
tommee:Hi, well what I meant by saying you may ending spending more is that some of these dodgy affiliated schools are not honest when communicating with prospective students and you get there and realise there are hidden costs you have to pay, though am not saying ethames is dodgy o, if you know anyone who has attended the school or is currently in the school, you should try and get more information from them. Also from the school site, it is stated that the school does not provide accommodation and as an international student that should be your paramount priority. I will advise you try to save up more more to afford some of the other good universities or you can check for good universities that do MBA online/distant learning. There are few good ones that do. Cheers! |
saddor:Hey, congrats on the bank thing at least that is a step ahead. As for your waec result, since it is laminated, there is nothing you can doabout that, you just have to take it to the embassy the way it is at least embassies in Nigeria are aware of the fact that Nigerians mostly laminate their credentials. But make sure you take photocopies with you. all the best at the embassy. cheers! |
@ Oyinda, Well if u want the crayfish whole in your food, then you just have to bear with the smell of the crayfish or better still get air tight containers and put it in them and then put in the fridge. but if you really want to get rid of the smell, your best bet is to grind it up and put in air tight containers/ food bags and put in the fridge. Cheers! |
Grind the crayfish and put it in an airtight container or food bags and put it in the fridge/refrigerator or just where you usually put other food stuff. cheers! |
There is usually a batch C for oct/Nov and I doubt if this yr will be an exception to that effect. If you have finished school and have all your certificates ready, the earlier you go back to Nigeria and start the process, the better. Also if you have relatives in Abuja, then they could find out for you when they will start the registration of foreign trained graduates. Lastly, I guess the point about not being able to chose your statement of deployment is new, because all along, foreign trained graduates have been given that option. But if you have relatives or friends that could confirm all these info in Abuja for you, then you will be more informed. Cheers! |
saddor:Well what you can simply do is to go to the bank and change your account details to your home address, though I don't really know if the address you opened the account with really matters. You will also need to present the same result you used for the UK admission at the embassy and it will be clearly stated both on the admission letter and the CAS letter the school will give you to take to the embassy the result that was used in given you the admission. Hope this is helpful Cheers! |
tommee:@ Poster, Well I don't know much about the school but this is just a piece of advise from me Since the MBA programme is affiliated to the university of Sunderland, because it says on the website that at graduation you will be given a University of Sunderland certificate. I am of the opinion that you should just go to university of sunderland and do your programme there or another university that can be vouched for instead of going to these schools that are affiliates. The Ethames Graduate school may seem cheaper but I am very sure at the end of the day you will end up spending more money than if you had gone to a normal university instead. And as a foreign student, what is the essence of going overseas only to attend a graduate school that is an affiliate and not the main school. Well this is just my advice, you may still go ahead and do what you want to do but I guess you should consider more options and universities. cheers. |
@ Poster, that will be the biggest mistake of your life if you give him a 2nd chance, will you be able to stand him n your friend and the child eventually, you may think you have forgiven him but the anger may resurface another time in the future and what is the guarantee that he won't cheat on you some time in the future? It maybe with a friend, sister, cousin, niece etc. Just be careful before making a concrete decision. Cheers! |
saddor:Well for your friend, one of the conditions for an unconditional letter to be issued to you by any school is the requirement to pay a certain amount of money to the school, if before he was required to pay 400 pounds and now the amount has increased by 1700 quid, he just has to pay if not the unconditional letter will not be issued to him but a conditional and he wont be able to get a visa with that, in the mean time what school did your friend apply to? Let him check with the UK border agency and ensure that the school is accredited by them if not if it is not, he can run into alot of trouble. Please can you explain clearly on the bank address issue, sorry but your explanation does not seem clear enough and I won't assume I know what you are talking about. |
saddor:As I said early, it depends on your course and your school, that is why I said you should check the information on the school website and also you have to consider maintenance(accommodation and other things). When you have gotten all the information from the school site and still need clarifications, then you can ask. Cheers! |
saddor:What school are you coming to? the school should have a website, go there all the information you need should be there, if not there will be a phone number for you to call and get the information yourself. Have you applied already?? Well just find out the information you need on the school website then you know you next moves. As for your friend, am sure the letter the school sent him whether it was conditional or unconditional stated that he was supposed to start in January and since he didn't start then, he should request for another letter from the school because he will need to show a letter that states his start date is september this year and he should also get a CAS number from his school (this is one of the most imprortant documents). |
@ Poster, If your are considering the UK, you could also check out Brunel University, www.brunel.ac.uk they offer the course as Public health and health promotion. Good school and it has a high ranking. Cheers! |

In Chinese it is 洛神花 (Luo Shen Hua) . In Zambia the plant is called lumanda in ciBemba, katolo in kiKaonde, or wusi in chiLunda. Beverage See also Hibiscus tea A roselle drink In the Caribbean sorrel drink is made from calyces of the roselle. In Malaysia, roselle calyces are harvested fresh to produce pro-health drink due to high contents of vitamin C and anthocyanins. In Mexico, 'agua de Flor de Jamaica' (water flavored with roselle) frequently called "agua de Jamaica" is most often homemade. Also, since many untrained consumers mistake the calyces of the plant to be dried flowers, it is widely, but erroneously, believed that the drink is made from the flowers of the non-existent "Jamaica plant". It is prepared by boiling dried calyces of the Flower of Jamaica plant in water for 8 to 10 minutes (or until the water turns red), then adding sugar. It is often served chilled. This is also done in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago where it is called 'sorrel'. The drink is one of several inexpensive beverages (aguas frescas) commonly consumed in Mexico and Central America, and they are typically made from fresh fruits, juices or extracts. A similar thing is done in Jamaica but additional flavor is added by using ginger and rum, it is a popular drink of the country at Christmas time. It is also very popular in Trinidad & Tobago but the ginger is substituted for cinnamon and cloves for added flavour. In Mali, Senegal, The Gambia, Burkina Faso and Benin calyces are used to prepare cold, sweet drinks popular in social events, often mixed with mint leaves, dissolved menthol candy, and/or various fruit flavors. With the advent in the U.S. of interest in south-of-the-border cuisine, the calyces are sold in bags usually labeled "Flor de Jamaica" and have long been available in health food stores in the U.S. for making a tea that is high in vitamin C. This drink is particularly good for people who have a tendency, temporary or otherwise, toward water retention: it is a mild diuretic. In addition to being a popular homemade drink, Jarritos, a popular brand of Mexican soft drinks, makes a Flor de Jamaica flavored carbonated beverage. Imported Jarritos can be readily found in the U.S. In the UK the dried calyces and ready-made sorrel syrup are widely and cheaply available in Caribbean and Asian grocers. The fresh calyces are imported mainly during December and January in order to make Christmas and New Year infusions, which are often made into cocktails with additional rum. They are very perishable, rapidly developing fungal rot, and need to be used soon after purchase – unlike the dried product, which has a long shelf-life. |
draigboje:I totally agree with this post, nothing wrong with Zobo just be careful on the bolded parts, that your friend was just fronting jare, that is one of the healthiest drinks we have in Nigeria, infact my people (TIV) use the green Zobo leaves for soup with groundnut and it is really nice. Abeg Keep enjoying your Zobo. |
