Maintenance is the most important. The Bus drivers should be educated on the need to maintain these public transports. It is sad that within a year, most of these buses won't be recognised again.

Also, passengers should be enlightened on how not to deface the interior of the vehicles too.

This is one area the Lagos state government should address.

they are working for Nigerians who are being affected by the astronomical increase of fuel price. You cannot increase fuel price without easing the pains that come afterwards. No salary increase, no palliatives, nothing!! If you're not affected by the increase, let those who are affected be fought for by NLC

NLC is not fighting for the salary increase rather they want the usual to continue. Fuel price will be slightly increased, subsidy returns and then, keep increasing. Later, they will come again asking for a raise in salary. Is this not foolishness?

Get rid of the problem and let's use the money meant for this for every other meaningful things including salary raise.

The former president jacked fuel price from 85 to 195 claiming he has removed subsidy. Which subsidy does this government want to remove again?

They are not fighting for that. They are fighting for the fuel price to return to the normal amount. It is sick.

You see the problem with Africans is that we do not value God so much as our money. We first think about money first before God. Over there, they have first given their lives totally to God and as such their money does not matter to them. They give for the good course of gospel propagation.

Here in Nigeria, money is so much important and as such the only way most pastors can make members value God is to make tithing compulsory as such they programme this in their head of how there is a negative consequence of not paying tithe whereas all that God ask from us is His value or honour. Giving is what is obtainable now based on the finished works of Christ and are no longer bound by the law.

A pastor who is now a preacher of giving and not tithe also complained of how his members stopped giving as they used to after hearing the truth from him. It is the Nigerian and African mindset to value money more than God and it leaves the question - do we truly love God as we claim? Have we totally surrendered everything to Him?

What the silly NLC leader should fight for is how Salaries will be increased to cover for this fuel issue. The call for the strike is sick if he is also working in the interest of the country. Now is the time for all to look at ways for this country to make meaningful progress.

NLC doing the same thing over and over again, subsidy returns, fuel price increases slightly and then, subsidy payment increases too.

If we follow the trend of things in this country, we'd understand that these marketers just want to make more money from the government in the name of subsidy while calling ridiculous amounts as the real price of fuel. Just last year, they said it will be 350 or thereabout per litre if the subsidy was removed. Early this year they changed the narrative and they said it will be N750 per litre. Is this not a way of holding the government bound to keep paying for subsidies whereas Nigeria consumes less than what they declare as the consumption per day.

We should start thinking of how to move this country forward and not backwards anymore.

NLC should insist on removing the subsidy by 50%. When you remove it by 50%, use that money to provide palliatives ahead of total removal in a couple of years.

Why can't the government pay this subsidy to Dangote refinery directly and have the refinery supply it to Nigerians if they claim that corruption is the problem?

It can't work. In the long run, the price of petrol will be more than this current price increase. Do you know why? These marketers keep finding a way to justify their position on increased fuel subsidy. For example, the 50% if paid at 2.5 million will later be paid at 5 million because these marketers are dubious. They keep looking for means on how to make more money from the government and her citizens.

This is not a time to speak against Obidients or be negative about our Nation. This is the time to pray for Nigeria as we work together through constructive criticism or other positive means in seeing that Nigeria works again.
