The avèràge Nîgèrîan is a hypocrite, they will nail someone for exactly same thing they will do when given the opportunity. It's really sad. Although, the beating was not okay but these people are funny by saying no Nigerian hospital can address the injuries sustained from beating. Later, this same people will attack politicians. Na we dey suffer the corrupt and bad government If that's the case, why has he attempted to become the president of Nigeria on many occasions too? He is a loser, accepting this will help him stop this sick ambition and give room for genuine people who have the interest of the country at heart to run for the presidency position. This is the time to say to Atiku to go home and rest. We need genuine individuals who want Nigeria to progress and not individuals chasing personal ambitions desperately. |

Nonny95: There’s one letter and one deposition under oath. As a judge, Principle of Orality’ in Litigation must be appreciated.
A deposition under oath is not a letter, infact it gives clearer view to anyone's sworn statement, which the Judge is trying to create technicality for.
If your written statement is yes and during cross examination your yes turns no, then you're not saying the truth.
When you remember this is Nigeria and not Netflix then you will understand this statement from a judge.
We know justice okoro's antecedents, he should go on to approve certificate forgery. Nigerians will remember him for that. You guys have started again. This was how you did at the tribunal and your preferred candidate lost. Your conclusion on this matter is worrisome. The way people go about this matter contributes to the failure of the case at the tribunal |

if the problem is 1, 2, 4 and 5, then the problem is you... if the problem is 3, 6 and 7, then don't also perform your duties on her, ignore her like she doesn't exist... she wants to friendzone you in the marriage, if she doesn't fvck you, who does she fvck? and did you meet her a virgin? if it persists, get another wife or cheat since she doesn't know what's expected of her, she should go back to her father's house if she's not emotionally matured enough to be married... Atiku is just not helping himself. If he was serious about this, he should devote more energy to seeing that the educational qualification of Tinubu be declared that of a woman or something to discredit the credibility of the certificates. Then, focus on how he will use the evidence to win at the Supreme Court. Going silent and planning your next move is key.
This man wants to still do the usual, playing to the media as if judgements are won in the media. Of what benefit will his world press conference do in the Supreme court? It's just sick. |

squad1: Olodo.. as long as it is asphaltic pavement, you will need to do periodic and routine maintenance. The 15 years you are talking about is when the asphalt is about to crumble/expire. By then, you need to overhaul/scarify the asphaltic pavement and overlay with another asphalt. I just don't understand why people just like tackling everything. You are very correct. Periodic maintenance will be done on the road and what the statement says is that repair will only happen after 6 years. The idiots are here tackling a very simple statement. |

The statement in a way is justified. The lifespan of a flexible pavement is actually 15 years. Let's even assume it is 20-30 years, are you telling me that there will be no maintenance carried-out on the road? Vehicle traction of the road surface and wear and tear due to vehicular movement won't occur on the road? Now, if there will be maintenance, what does the maintenance involve? |

alpontif: My problem with the Jagun Jagun movie was the very bad storyline...and some parts of the SET, for example, why are you showing houses that has IRON roofing sheets in a movie set in the 18th Century?
Why can you not create SPEARs that appear straight?
Why are you Slaughtering a foe with the blunt other side of a sabre that has one Cutting side?
And by the way, the town populace is far too small. The armies too small. The calvary too small.
For example, in history, the rearguard of Alaafin orompotoniyun is said to consist of at least 1000 infantry and 1000 calvary.
The only warrior whosee acting is believable is the second in command gbogunmi Is this an Alaafin story or does this story relate to an empire war? You just want to be a critic than appreciating a good work |

MT: Oga, Yorubas dont fight like Romans. That movie is a roman empire classic movie.
In the olden days, we read it that the two commanders will face themselves and chant incantations till one commander overwhelms the other. Then fight will ensue.
The film misrepresents Yoruba culture so badly. Go and watch the "woman king" on netflix - it was a failed attempt to replicate it. Guy, go and read about 'kiriji' war and you will understand better about the yoruba war. Stop saying what you know little or nothing about. |

TV/Movies › Re: Jagun Jagun: Femi Adebayo's Movie Gets Tongues Wagging by Nauttyprof(m): 9:27am On Aug 12, 2023 |
osuulola: Jagunjagun is a good one but there is a reason screen writing is a career in Hollywood. The story as a whole is interesting to see. Coming from the Yoruba genre where Africa magic has made them lazy is a big push for the sect of Nolly wood. The art direction was top-notch. The majority of the acting was awesome to say the least but the story development is not the best that it can be. Why is Ogundiji a terrible person? What is the need of showing the different kingdoms with no clear cut direction at first? Why did we learn Ogundiji had a son when he will not be a victim of revenge - except for part 2! The school - I take is an idea from Spartacus - but what about showing us some classes. Then they were meant to be warriors but they did more of raiding. The honour of a warrior is lost in the needless murders of 'civilians'. Init? It is possible the best Nigerian movie for a long time - it is definite the best action movie Yorubawood has ever since but Abija who create the genre deserved a shot and Lalude - those are the real veteran of the Yoruba action genres. I hope they get more scene time and be released from being used by skit makers. I will like to answer that part of your question where you asked why Ogunjimi's son wasn't the victim of revenge. It is clear from the movie. Gbotija does not like injustice and would address the injustice squarely than beating around the bush. Why will Gbotija leave the main cause of the deaths, Ogunjimi and then go for his son? Isn't that injustice? Also, the son was revealed because of the revelation that Agemo, isn't Ogunjimi's daughter and that Ogunjimi uses people to achieve his aim but protect his own from any harm. Bringing in Lalude and Abija into this is at the descretion of the writter. Remember, this fight isn't the battles of many incantations. Also the writter knows who will achieve what he wants. So, we shouldn't bring in sentiments to this. Who knows maybe we will see them in Part 2? The movie is a good one and a good job done. I hope the explanations help |
