Mylove55:Lagos is also another. Irrespective of the rigging, I think Obi's aim isn't about just trying to push for his victory but also trying to incite the people against the government. I feel he knows it will be difficult to prove that his votes spread across 24 states. SE is his stronghold and few from SW. How will he prove the 24 states in court? |
Acidosis:Why can't you lead by going to that same place and shout LP there or even PDP? Kindly try this with yourself as a motivation to others to come out. You don't need to vote there. All you can do is to motivate others by your actions by visiting the area and shouting just PDP |
I still don't understand how Obi wants to prove that he has the highest vote in the election and how his vote spread across 24 states. The North we know has the largest votes which I am sure Obi did not near in any case. We also know APC rigged the election in some states but Obi trying to fight something that seems obvious with respect to having the highest number of votes and also having the votes spread across 24 states will be a great a task at the court. I reason objectively and not by emotions. So, please, don't start tackling me based on emotions. |
Beremx:I just wonder how he is coming with just few people in someone's compound doing a video to denounce APC. So, you mean these few represent the entire Alimosho? This is a terrible reasoning |
It is just too easy to type or write out plans. I have not seen any sincere steps in generating revenue to compensate for the shortfalls he keeps cancelling. When you shut down toll gate, how do you compensate for the shortfall from this in taking care of the loans as a result of the PPP arrangement? When you increase salaries of workers, what do you do to compensate for the additional payments the government is making? We keep getting emotionally affected by those who do not understand what really is the government current financial status and will give out all nice looking plans and when they get there, they disappoint. APC did the same thing promising very emotional attractive plans but when they got there and realized the plans couldn't work, they started denying many things being said. This is the usual style from them all. I am not moved by anything written. In all, I will rather vote Sanwo-Olu than attempt to test run Lagos State with this guy. If you come after my post, please read every details clearly to understand that I reason objectively and do not support any party whatsoever. Peter Obi was my option for Presidency but I will stick to Sanwo-Olu for Governorship. I don't need any sentiment or hatred in deciding wrongly. |
Starships4u:Does not apply here as we all see good work done in Lagos. Except if you are blinded by hate |
Naira20:Only hatred makes one blind to good things. He has his flaws but please be sincere to acknowledge good work too. Hatred yields no positive result. Let's wait and see if eventually your man becomes the Governor |
Teeroyzimma:Just the way your sense is dictated by hate |
Naira20:That's if you are God. I don't understand the sudden hate despite this man trying. The person you want to take over government has no governance records at any level. What gives you the assurance that he will perform in a state as Lagos? Anyway, before you start spewing insults, I wish to clear the air that I am not an APC supporter but I will definitely vote for Sanwo-Olu despite his shortcomings as I can see the good work he has done so far. I voted Peter Obi for presidential election but I won't vote the same party for governorship as I don't know this individual. I live by reasoning and not by emotions. May Lagos not be returned to the past. |
I read the post and I have not seen anything to be done differently by the LP candidate. This only suggests to me that many just want to vote simply to carry out their hate and not because they have reasonably sat down to evaluate things. Fine, Sanwo-Olu messed up in some instances especially in matters of youth, this is not a genuine reason to make hate push you or anyone else to vote him out. I read the post and was like it was borne out of hate. If you claim there isn't any infrastructural development in Lagos from the APC government, then, this is definitely not sincere and I won't be supportive of this. I speak to those of clear conscience who irrespective of the wrongs from the Governor can say he truly worked. If I can't say of any, the Mile 2 - Iyana Iba road is enough reason for me to vote him back again. If not, I will suffer an uncompleted project because someone who is coming in newly would want to make name for himself and there would be many abandoned projects. I read the post and never saw anything differently done. Transportation was mentioned and the solution proffered is just what Lagos State is implementing. In skill acquisition, Lagos state started this which can only be improved upon. I just saw more of cheap talks than the sincerity to make any difference. Truly, there are corruptions going on in Lagos state with the funds. This is something APC needs to correct but I will never give a job to someone who has no records in governance but only using his forefathers' records as basis for him to perform when in reality, we know that humans differ. Lagos is too sensitive and great for voting to be done based on hate. We will live to regret it later on. I don't support APC but for this election, I will vote for Sanwo-Olu because he tried despite all shortcomings from him. He deserves my vote. |
God1000:I was here telling everyone who had sense to reason back then that the policy can never stop politicians from rigging or vote buying as they will always think of an alternative. Someone here kept arguing blindly as if these politicians have no sense. It makes no sense to suffer the citizens of Nigeria because of some selected few. In fact, it is pure wickedness. |
FactBoyz:Are we voting him because of his ancestors? I just don't understand this recent spread of nonsense. If his ancestors occupied positions in Nigeria and I believe they were appointed based on what they had to offer, what does this candidate stand to offer and what are his personal records or achievements? |
PrinceOfLagos:Stronghold isn't Amuwo Odifin but Alimosho. Anyone who captures Alimosho has done a good job |
John4B:I think he did this for a reason despite being wrong. There are so many speculations before the election and the right thing was to clear the air with this despite being wrong in terms of electoral process. |
Eagba:It has no effect on the economy. Stop defending or justifying what has no effect. You are not discussing with a layman here. |
Eagba: |
Eagba:How is Naira redesign an economic reform? |
Brendaniel:You comment as if they don't have a brain to think and devise new means. Is vote buying the only way to illegally win an election? Also, is giving cash the only way of wining an election illegally? I just don't understand this reasoning at all. Ask yourself this question, how come there was over voting in Osun state if all you need was to buy vote of residence in each polling unit? Back to the issue, are the politicians causing the unrest in the country now or the government who have inflicted more hardship? Besides, this issue can lead to serious unrest in many states, what will then happen to the election that you keep talking about? What will you then say of Buhari? Redesigning Naira because of election was a foolish thought in the first place. No one is against the policy but make the money available for citizens who passed through a lot just to make their money. It is an act of wickedness to make the citizens suffer again on their money. |
Brendaniel:That response even shows that you are not different from the politicians. Every responsible government thinks of how her citizen is doing well and not focus on a minority as against a larger population. Besides, isn't it sick and foolish to think that redesign will stop vote buying when we knew how just primary elections were done with foreign currency? Isn't it foolish to target politicians while the masses suffer a lot due to this. It shows how insensitive you will be also to the suffering of others. If the government had done the needful to make our system better such that vote buying has been dealt with, with tough measures under the law whoever will do this would think twice. Besides, these politicians already have a plan B, that's certain. Even Buhari was brought in through the usual. Strengthen our judiciary to be autonomous and without the influence of the government while we have a system that works where any corruptible practices are dealt with under the law. This measure won't stop anything. Rather, the masses will suffer the more. We have a sick government and that's why the economy is terrible. |
Brendaniel:Ask yourself this question, are you existing as a Nigerian because of the politicians? The Politicians (including Buhari) are the cause of suffering in the country. Unemployment, fuel scarcity, poor standard of living etc. There are countless effect of hardship on the citizens due to the politicians (including Buhari). Please, tell me if it is justified again that I earn my money and I am being told that the Politicians again are the cause of not being able to spend my money. Does this make sense at all? You mentioned figures CBN claimed has not been returned, when we both know that even those figures are scam as the CBN who can't circulate the new Naira note has no clue as to the amount still not returned. I don't need anybody to defend me but I want to spend my own money despite all the hardship inflicted by the government of this country. Is this too much to ask again? The Politicians we keep mentioning in this whole matter just make it seem like these people have no sense to devise other means for vote buying. I am just sick and tired of this sick excuses. |
Brendaniel:We keep using vote buying as an excuse to justify the bad implementation of the CBN distribution of Naira as if these politicians don't have a brain on what next to do. Can you answer the question on why the citizens should pay for the sins of the politician again when it comes to our money? |
Na wa o.... So, it is the president controlling momentary policies of the CBN. This is sick. Nigeria can never make progress this way. |
Throwback:This is heartless and a sick comment. Isn't it the responsibility of the school to oversee the welfare of all students during interhouse sport? For an interhouse sport, shouldn't the school have a standby medical personnel that could administer first aid treatment? I just don't understand how heartless some people can be. Imagine the school saying they had to rush to a nearby hospital for first aid, is this not even a sick press release on its own? |
nairavsdollars:You are wrong. An interhouse sport should have standby Doctors available to administer first aid and not rushing to the hospital for first aid. Chrisland is a big school and should have done the right thing. |
jaephoenix:Don't put me in your views. You are entitled to your opinion but don't involve me. I have no business with what my fellow Christians do and if you are pained by this, then I can't help you |
jaephoenix:It's because folks like yourself feel everything is about Pastor and money |
jaephoenix:Then, don't mention me as you should have aired your opinion elsewhere. |
See pot calling kettle black. |
jaephoenix:Stop all these. I never brought pastor into the matter. If you are painted by Pastors, go get a life. |
During a heavy down pour some years ago, I was at a place where I just need to progress home as the entire place was flooded and all drainages covered by the flood and could not see what was below. I devised a way of going home that day and my strategy was that I will take little steps and ensure it was a firm ground before taking the next step. I knew I was close to an open drainage and my thought was that when I get there and noticed there was no firm ground, I would just jump in that area (I was still young back then with the determination to get home that day irrespective of the flood). From nowhere a man appeared on the other side and told me to walk slowly. To my surprise, I walked through a firm ground throughout and I didn't see the man again. Someone who saw the progress I was making followed me from behind but was told to turn back by an Okada rider saying that he will fall into the drainage despite my own success move. Till date, I still wonder how everything happened as there was no part of the drainage covered and I walked on a firm ground throughout. |
We await Lai Mohammed, to counter this. The videos definitely seen by Financial times were not real and came from skit makers who wants to give the government a bad name. Also, the government has circulated over Trillions of Naira with each household having excess cash from the New Naira notes and there was never any queue in banks . |
I am in no way supporting Tinubu but a second look at his statement makes me feel that this government is just a wicked government. They've caused so much hardship in the Land and now, made it worse with the citizens money they have again. The problem has always been the same with this selfish government - creating policies without smooth implementation. |
