@Cation25 The is the exact problem my car is facing Camry 2011...all the mechanics I've met have all told me different things, if I accelerate above 60 it would start jerking... And to think you're saying you fixed it with just 30k. If I tell you how much the mechanics I met were quoting for me eh! 200k and above. Are you sure the problem is solved and the car is working fine? |
To sum it all...Don't be a talkative and watch your words when talking to people, let them know only what you want them to know about you. |
deewhydoski:Most parents are chronic talkatives. They'll help you broadcast it. It's best to keep your plans to yourself |
thesicilian:Spot on! No girl would bill a guy 5m for cake. He must have given her the "I'm equal to the task vibes" so he should buy the cake and stop complaining. |
Wait o! Is it that girl in the background that he's crying for? Some guys Sha. |
Only a mentally deranged person takes Nigerian government seriously. Shebi all of us are here, let's see how many flights this plane would make before even their dumbest supporters see through their deceit. |
Don't blame them. Nigeria isn't working so once people see any business that gives money, everyone would dive into it and over saturate it. Look at POS... around 2016, you can rent a shop and run POS and make reasonable money. In fact you could live comfortably with POS business. Today, you'll find over 20 POS operators on a single street. So if you're planning on going into it, just be prepared cos whatever you make from it obviously wouldn't be able sustain you. Look at Uber/Bolt. I know someone who is in Canada today courtesy of Uber. He started out as an Uber driver as far back as 2017. Today because there are no jobs, more and more guys (and even ladies) are going into uber. This had made Uber become over saturated . And if their drivers are honest with you, they'll admit that it's not as lucrative as it used to be. Same with provision shop, you can find more than 20 on one street all selling the same thing. How on Earth would they make profit? Is it korokpe or danfo bus...that one is worse, there are some routes you'll ply, when you reach and park, before it reaches your turn to load again, it might take up to an hour because there are lots and lots of other buses ahead of you. In the late 90s and early 2000s, one of the fastest way to make money as someone who wasn't fortunate to attain university education was to do hire purchase. Find someone who would give you a bus, and within a year, you've paid him back and you have the bus all to yourself. Today, bad economy and inflation has made it impossible for these guys to deliver, so even though they're in possession of the vehicle, they would find it very difficult meeting their daily target. It's not that these businesses aren't lucrative, they are but because there are so many competitors, profit becomes very slim. This is why so many of them aren't making it. If the country is working, people wouldn't be eager to do any kind of business, this means that businesses wouldn't be over saturated, so those doing it would easily prosper. |
If the average Nigerian girl isn't directly benefiting things like money, connections, favours...etc. from you, she'll naturally loose interest in whatever kind of friendship you claim to have with her. It's almost impossible to have a casual female friend in Nigeria today. Their friendship isn't free, it comes with a price tag. Sooner or later, she must need a favour. |

folake4u:Come let me hug you 😜😜😜
|
folake4u:Full time. 4-1. Your club wouldn't make you drink your Caprisun in peace tonight. 😜😜😜😜😜 |
Truvelisback:Hit the gym ASAP |
folake4u:Hahahahahaha....awon shekpe fans. Now do you believe that we're your Lord's. 😜😜😜😜 |
One of the major problem learners make when trying to reverse or pack that makes them hit another car or fall into a ditch is mistaking the gas pedal (accelerate) for brakes, I know this because I experienced the same problem when I was learning. |
folake4u:It's now 2-0 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜 |
At least he's open and honest about his polygamy. Some pastors here in Nigeria would marry one wife and keep a trailer load of girlfriends. They would come out publicly to preach and condemn beautiful and sexy celebrities. As if the sermon on the pulpit wasn't enough, they'll carry their crusade to social media by posting a picture of the celebrity on their page and continue their preaching/condemnation from there. If the celebrity is interested in the pastor, all she has to do is to reply him privately, and they'll book an appointment and smash. Most up coming pastors in Nigeria are hornier than a male goat. I love the honesty and sincerity of the Botswana pastor. |
folake4u:Bad belly we have scored. 😜 |
Mindlog:Joseph adopted Jesus Christ. But Jesus never acknowledged Joseph as his father. He referred to himself as God's son cos he was conceived by the seed of the Holy Ghost. In Genesis 21:8-21 Sarah sent Hagar and Ishmael away and God supported her because Ishmael wasn't the promised son even though he was Abraham's seed. An adopted child isn't your seed. |
id4sho:But there won't be need for importation fee, vessel demurrage fee, security fee, vessel charter fee...etc. Which independent marketers usually use to hold the government on their blokos, hence the subsidy payment, the crude would be refined right here in Nigeria and distributed to consumers. This means that there should be a visible reduction in the prices of refined petroleum products. |
folake4u:I love kids especially the cute ones, But I don't steal their Cheeseballs and Caprisun like you do. I tell them stories and make them feel happy. ![]() But I'm not holding you na our Nairaland policewoman. ![]() |
From the hundreds of thousands of barrels of PMS that would be refined per day in this refinery, are we still going to be purchasing PMS for over N700 if subsidy is eventually removed? Cos subsidy (according to the government) is the fee paid to independent marketers to reduce the price of refined petroleum products for consumers (Nigerians), since Dangote would be operating from Nigeria is it safe to say that we're going to experience a reduction in the price of fuel since subsidy would no longer be paid? Would the refinery have a direct impact in the prices of fuel and Diesel? Would it cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on we the masses? |
folake4u:Sitting there kwa so that those kids would use cry and noise to deaf my ear abi. Thanks but I think I'll pass. 😒 Na you know. As far as I'm concerned it was a dream and whether you like it or not you're a policewoman to me. ![]() |
I followed this thread from page 1. And I'll give you my piece of advice. 1. A lot of people (Myself inclusive) don't give money to online beggars. Why? Because most of them are scammers, bet addicts, brothel addicts, drug addicts, lazy, entitled...etc. They're like stray dogs, if you feed them today, they'll be back tomorrow with a different format for more. Just like you've been keeping this thread alive since 2020 so as to keep getting help from people. 2. Engage in something. If you have the opportunity to visit any NYSC orientation camp, you'll understand what hussling means. Stop sitting idle, Survey your environment and ask yourself what you can do. Businesses vary based on environment. If you're living close to a secondary school or bus stop, you can sell cooked food, make fries, buns, zobo...etc. A lot of uneducated widows today feed their families with the proceedings they make from what they sell. I know a woman who's kids are in Yabatech, she sells varieties of cooked food and uses the proceedings to train them. So many businesses in Nigeria today can be opened with less than 10k. From your post, you said you're managing yourself with a small business. That's a good start. Nurture it to maturity. 3. You must make it a duty to stop begging. Everyone is passing through one problem or the other. So if you keep begging people around you to come to your aid every now and then, they'll begin to avoid you. In this part of the world, people avoid friends who beg. And if you successfully drive away all your friends, when you need geninue assistance, where would you turn to? 4. Relocate to a much cheaper State. This is another option to consider. There are less cheaper states in the SW to consider moving to. Cos Lagos as we all know is very expensive. When you look at the fees you'll be paying for your kids, to accommodation, transportation, shop rent... etc, you'll agree with me that it's so much, 5. Be prudent with money. If you're selling rice in the open, your goal should be to get a shop and add more delicacy like swallow, and varieties of soup, once you get the shop, you can upgrade to catering services, include it on your banner along with your phone number. The SW are known for their owambe parties if you can sell yourself properly you would certainly get catering contracts. I know a women who used to cook for a popular club in Lagos every weekend back then. She told me that she was making nothing less than 100k after removing her expenses. It's disgusting seeing you hovering around this thread for 3 years. It shows that you have no plan for yourself. You just want people to keep assistance you and giving you money. Life my dear doesn't work that way. |
folake4u:Chiee! No wonder you're so happy. 😒 Never give up on your dreams. With your degree in law, who knows you could become the IG of police one day. 🤷 |
folake4u:Free things are always the sweetest cos you're not paying for them. 🙄 And you can still join the police. I believe you're old enough to make your own decisions. 🤓 |
folake4u:They're pure hearted because they give you Cheeseballs and Caprisun? 🙄 You should join the Nigerian police. ![]() |
A large chunk of Nigeria men don't know their worth, that's why most would pay a girl to date them. And when she chests, she'll blame them for it and they'll forgive her and continue. The day you know your worth as a man is the day women would begin to respect you. |
folake4u:So this is what you usually do to kids every Sunday. I'll report you to your pastor. 🙄 |
You can easily get a decent wife from there, since everyone knows everyone's families. |
Godoverevery:See if a girl whom you're planning to settle down with cannot make any selfless sacrifice for you without making financial demands, kindly forget about her. |
Jovialjune1:Your post is spot on...but written from a neutral point of view. The actors in this story are in love, they're not just two random people doing business. What's the purpose of claiming to love each other if one party sees everything as an opportunity to make profit. She's living in his house and enjoying certain benefits from him, why not reciprocate. Or isn't love about reciprocation? It's very wrong to see every request from someone whom you claim to love as a business opportunity most especially if you're directly benefiting from that person. Anyways you were right about one thing... she's way smarter and wiser than him and most importantly if I must add... doesn't love him. |
