If the child is below 13, I will discipline (not necessarily beat) him/her the same way i'll do to my kids of younger sibling. If older i'll still discipline (not above 18 though, that one na adult). If the parents don't like it, they should come get their child. I won't walk on eggshells in my home. If above 18, and I have repeatedly talked and no change, the parents berra come get their child.

The ish about husband's family na wash. So, because na hubby's famz, he/she should act rudely?
FamilyRe: Can A Physically Abused Woman In A Marriage Work Things Out With Her Husband ? by Neverquit(f): 2:15am On Apr 06, 2016
Marriage is worth fighting for BUT avoid wasting time fighting a hopeless fight. If una die on top marriage, your spouse sabi bring girlfriend/boyfriend to una burial.

In cases involving physical or emotional abuse, RUN RUN RUN. Staying because of your kids, has bad results. Y'all need to read the views of kids from abusive homes.
FamilyRe: Women And Their Double Standards. by Neverquit(f): 12:46am On Apr 06, 2016
I agree.

I'm also not about equality but fairness. Treat each other with respect. Treat me the way you want to be treated. Don't expect submission when you're not ready to go the extra mile.

Some women and men need to understand that concept...BALANCE

Side note: that #6 really angers me. A friend went to jail because of it (they were not drunk though). Few days after having consenting séx, she reported to the cops that she was raped. Unfortunately, he spent few months in jail before the case was resolved. He was eventually cleared of all charges.

Mehn, the guy came out vexing. He's in the process of suing the girl. Just imagine the girl's wickedness.

@ Tallesty1, yes, some women want to eat their cake and have it, the same can be said about some men. My point is couples should treat each other with mutual respect and fairness

Ladies, men are not stùpid, if you're with them because of money, don't scream blue murder when they treat you like a doormat

C'est fini.

edwife:
Lol I don't buy the 'equality' thing because everyone has his own interpretation. For me i will rather talk about flexibility or rather flexible fairness.

Partners should contribute to their shared life in different ways and in different degrees and over time the balance fluctuates.

There are two things involve here; trusting that your partner is doing all he or she can, and making sure that you are doing all that you can.It is as simple as that.

Some Nigerians are hypocritical. Let's go back down memory lane. Loven the tattoo lady saved the 'possessed' child. Something the "untattooed" Nigerians couldn't do. So i'll accept her with open arms. I'll take a pure heart (regardless of the outward appearance) over an evil heart (with 'perfect' outward appearance).
CelebritiesRe: Wizkid’s Mansion At Los Angeles Is On Hire He Never Bought It by Neverquit(f): 2:00pm On Apr 04, 2016
This is a lie. Please confirm facts before claiming authority on it. If you have cash, you can buy a house instead of having a mortgage.

chuckvinz:
To be honest guys, nobody buys a house cash in the States, that's where i live too, but what they do is make a payment plan , which you might end up paying for 10 or 5 yrs. so wizkid is no different from everyother individual that pays a certain amount of money everymonth for the house. That's what you all should understand. He might not have paid fully for the house , but yes he might be the owner. Trust me the way we pay for house cash in Nigeria, that shit don't work there.

Ha ha @ diabolical

Richiy:
The worst thing about that most of them are doing it to gain approval from some sort of vain, flashy, arrogant boys that will still dump your sorry a.ss after a few months of knacking and spending. Then your a.ss truly becomes sorry for real grin grin

If most ladies will consider themselves, they wouldn't dabble into the almost diabolical things they do for self worth undecided

@ mickyeddi stop doing copy paste without editing. She's living in Nigeria, not Africa. Would you said 'she lives in North America?'

That being said: things happen for a reason. He survived for 8 months (that alone is miraculous), then rescued only to discover that he has a birth defect. Now he will be able to have the operation to correct it...the boy has amazing luck...maybe a guardian angel.

FamilyRe: For The Men That Believe Cheating Is Their Right.(opinion) by Neverquit(f): 6:21pm On Mar 29, 2016
I hate to admit it lipsrsealed, but you are right. It takes 2 parties...

Ladies, we need to develop strong back bone and self esteem. No one is saying that you should leave immediately something bad happens...

If consequences are heavier for men who cheat, we will have fewer cases. Because of the heavier penalties for women who cheat (and get caught), there are fewer cases. It's like corruption: In Nigeria, corruption rules, but if you get caught in saner country (by the wrong people), you will end up in jail.

Summary: both parties should uphold their vows, respect each other, and respect yourself

Self respect is priceless.

MRBrownJ:
as any "corruption" in this world, there are 2 guilty people involved (the one offering and the one accepting). the more women keep on blaming just one side, the longer this issue will never come any closer to being resolved.

see as all you women are talking of men dying young due to infidelity while disregarding all these wives and mistresses dying of AIDS etc, thanks to these cheating men. whatever these men will catch, mummy will get it too.
all you women who knowingly stay with a cheating man are bound to catch whatever that man gets... and let me not even start with these same disrespectful men who beat/kill desperate low self esteem women like yourselves, who think they MUST accept whatever these men are doing and STAY MARRIED AT ALL COST.
FamilyRe: How Do I Handle A Stinky Neighbour? by Neverquit(f):
Yes, you should.
Friendship should be about telling each other the truth.

When I was in secondary school, my friend once asked if I use deodorant. I said no and asked her the reason for the question. She said whenever I get sweaty, that she can smell a wet musty scent from me sad. Immediately, I contacted my parents to send deodorant. Since then, I always shave and use anti-perspirant to the extent of having a travel size in my bag.

I am forever grateful to her. Who knows, maybe na during fight someone would have used it to embarrass me.

So, please sit her down and tell her. You can even put together some toiletries (to include anti-perspirant, shaving sticks, shower cap, dettol, black soap or anti-fungal/bacteria soap etc.). If she reacts negatively, o well...her choice.

I should copy this and send to her on whatsapp.

You typed exactly what I was thinking (minus the stupid part).

@ Dharniel, you were scammed. Yes you did the descent thing though. A normal person with conscience would not have collected his phone from you.

Even though you were scammed, don't stop doing good.

I hail though...after initiating an exchange, he comes back to ask for a reversal (what if you sold it or gave it to someone), and then claims to have lost it...mehn...that's a sick and twisted way of thinking.

Pastor pastor (or any other religious title) do not fool me. Na then I go point my full light on.

spiralwedge:
If I were in your shoes or in the op's pastor's shoes, I will never have peace unless I buy back a new phone, regardless whatever the person says.

I am especially disappointed in the pastor, because upon loosing the phone he still collected his phone back. He is a fake pastor.

Finally, the op is stupid for giving him his phone back despite losing op's.
PoliticsRe: "Nobody Can Stop Us From Moving Our Cattle Around Nigeria"-fulani Herdsmen Warns by Neverquit(f): 10:38pm On Mar 26, 2016
cry

The government should establish the grazing reserves in other parts of the country. That way, other regions can supply their own cows thereby eliminating the market for the herdsmen. If that can happen, those herdsmen will have a rethink.

But...it's nice to dream...

In all honest, the nomadic style is the best for rearing cattle. We get 100% organic beef with little fat, lean meat, and well developed muscles.

A compromise can be reached if the government establishes the grazing reserve along the grazing path.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Do This All Because Of A Job? by Neverquit(f): 4:13pm On Mar 16, 2016
@ charmmy,

You alone can make the final decision. People have given you insights to both sides of the situation.

Make a decision that you can live with...and not regret in the future. If it's staying with the 'elder': can you live with the possibility of sexual harassment? Or staying back home: can you live with the possibility of delayed job/income generating opportunities?

If anyone has Damilola Adegbite's number, please forward this piece of advice.

Late last year, a pregnant friend started to bleed. She went to the hospital (one of em so called private one in Lag) and the doctors confirmed that she had a miscarriage. She was devastated. She was asked to comeback the following week for surgery that would evacuate the womb. Something told her to ask for second opinion.

Fortunately, they (her hubby & her) have the means to travel to yankee. So she came to yankee for checkup. The doctors told her that the baby is alive and developing well. Imagine! shocked

When she told me, I couldn't contain my joy and surprise.

So please, if possible, ask the lady to seek second opinion.

CrimeRe: Baby Mama Kills Her Twins In Jos (Extremely Graphic Photos.) by Neverquit(f):
Postnatal depression is real.

In a country like Nigeria where such things are deemed ridiculous/lie/unbelievable, the mother would not have had access to therapy/medication/care.

Childbirth affects women differently.

True story: recently, a good friend had a baby. She couldn't stand the sight of her son. She didn't touch him or breast feed him. She was diagnosed with postnatal depression. Fortunately, she has an understanding hubby, and lives in a country where provisions are made for such things. She was fine after weeks of treatment. Now, she's inseparable from her son.

If na naija she dey, I can't imagine what she might have done, or the names peeps would have called her.
EventsRe: How Do I Avoid Crowd In My Upcoming Wedding? by Neverquit(f): 10:55pm On Feb 07, 2016
Mcayofficial,

My suggestion:

Tell wiffie to pick between a big wedding or relocating with you. Just sit back and watch. Na she go tell her parents NO.

End of discussion.

OR

In Yoruba land, na bride's family dey spend on reception oo. If the parents can't afford their 'dream' wedding, then they have no right to insist on an expensive one.

I honestly do not understand the stress peeps give themselves because of a day's ceremony. Insist on the amount you are willing to spend, those not in favor should add their own money... undecided

FamilyRe: Is There Any Risk Sponsoring The Education Of A Girl You Want To Marry? by Neverquit(f): 8:46pm On Feb 02, 2016
Dear Cammo,

Take your own advice:

Cammo:
It's a risk I would never take. Child training is parents responsibility, so let her parents train her first. That student probably has a fellow student boyfriend she's spending your money on. You might just end up training another man's daughter for free.

You're a lady, you won't understand
Cammo:
It has always been the case, my dear. It's ok to have a young wife who's also a student but training a girl and hoping to marry her after graduation is a silly investment. That girl would dump your sorry ass later for another guy. I'm not just talking from a one-off experience. It's a different case altogether if she's orphaned; I'd know I'm sponsoring her education for the sake of humanity. Let the parents/guardian do the training themselves. She's their responsibility
Cammo:
I have a girlfriend that I plan to marry. She's a 100 Level student in UNILAG but is having difficulties paying her up school fees. Her mom, a widow, is doing her best but it's not enough. Since I'm a graduate and now working, I feel like helping out. It's an obligation I earnestly wish to take but my friends keep telling me that she would eventually dump my sorry ass for another guy before graduation, and there's nothing I can do. Very confused. I love her and I know she loves me too.
Please advice.
