ANY publicity is good publicity. They're The Kardashians, for Scholes' sake! |
Seeing as this is placed in the career section, i should imagine that it is aimed at people who plan on diving into debt. Haha |
yuzedo: 11th Tip: Never axe a Naija babe if u can bye her Richad Card or Mr Biggys Fanta & Egg shikin or eyePAD cos she will always says YES incase u were hopeing she would be gracious and charming and said NO like a real american princess from london should.BECOMERICHISM. ![]() |
Nah, that would be the wise nigerian guy. For the average nigerian guy just turn it the other way. |
deols: I'd rather see it as an individual thing.Like some folks before me have opined, i don't think the crabs-in-in-a-bucket thingy is a uniquely feminine phenomenon. I'm not sure if it would be accurate to attribute it to humans in general, but it is definitely noticeable in the everyday lives of Nigerians in particular. Have you ever heard of soldiers stationed at a checkpoint making guys perform 'frog jumps' simply to humiliate them FOR walking by in the company of a stunning chic? Wasn't there a story here of a male boss who threw a glass of water at his subordinate (a nairalander) by way of a peacock show for the benefit of a lady he had with him? I read somewhere in one of your replies, Virgo, that you've got great female friends who are in fact supportive. I also know a good number of guys who are decidedly vile, and can be driven to atrocious acts by an emotion as unproductive (this is really a euphemism for stup¡d) as envy. So i think it's less of a gender thing and really more of an individual affair. Jealousy and bitter, baseless envy will continue to be evidenced by vindictive and often impulsive acts of wickedness by the person whom these emotions have consumed, against the persons who innocently triggered said emotions. |
There are brilliant columnists, and then there are even more brilliant ones, but as far as newspaper/magazine articles are concerned, there's no such thing as 'the greatest write-up ever'. However, i admit that this surely is up there with the best of them. |
Although it isn't immediately apparent, the truth of the matter is that the average guy spends more on his d¡ck than on any other body part. You may sport that haircut you got for five grand, or all the other stuff that make you look good obtained at sky-high prices, but each time you get some girl a BB, or hand out 10 grand for 'upkeep', you're more or less spending it on Little Johnny, your very own pal. Haha |
Kai! Why una do this thread like this na? I'd hoped to read some serious fascinating Bond-class material, now all i've done is laugh uncontrollably. I forgive una sha, but i'm not sure the OP will be so kind. ![]() |
Abuse (physical, emotional) and extra-marital affairs are all really wicked, but can there be anything more vile, any mind more depraved than that of he who screws his own kid? |
AB10: Marriage counsellors say one out of two women are abused, I also made a little research and observed it could be higher. I just don't understand why girls put up with such siht. The bolded, i suppose, means your 'little research' revealed that two out of two women are abused. Is this correct? ![]() |
It is shocking the number of Nigerians who do not know that Jos isn't quite the same thing as Plateau State. Here's a lesson in English-cùm-Social studies/Geography for you. State: Plateau. Capital: Jos. So while you may rightly say 'There's been another communal clash in Plateau' when Jos is the specific location you have in mind, it is misleading to say 'Violence breaks in Jos' when the location in question is an entirely different section of plateau state. I'm certainly going to invest a lot in primary school education, if i win the lottery. |
nagoma: The lady in the picture is Buhari's wife. She was a Muslim from a highly respected Muslim family in katsina. She lived all her life as good Muslim and died about 12 years ago after a protracted illness. Buhari's picture as a religious extremist was created by the southern Nigeria press in order to somehow discredit his impeccable honest and disciplined personality. Buhari tries to be honest in anything he does , he is a Muslim , never an extremist but tries to be a practicing Muslim just as Late Awolowo another disciplined person tried to be a good Christian. Honest people do not pretend. None of Buhari's daughters is married to a Christian and I think none of the daughters ever presented to him a Christian as suitor. But some of the ignorant people need to know the position of Islam on some of these issues- the position of Islam doesn't mean a position for extremists - just the basic expectation for any follower of the religion. It is also true that he allows his Christian staff the Sunday rest and reminds the Muslim staff that Friday has not been defined as a day of rest in Islam.Thank you for settling some doubtful issues with this straightforward report. There are and will remain divergent opinions on Buhari's true character, but the bolded part shows that, if nothing else, the man has a sense of humour. Especially the way BMZK put it a few posts above yours. Haha Nagoma, i hope you are around when jakumo breaks into this thread, as he is sure to, for i salivate at the prospect of an entertaining (though redundant) debate between you. |
A SHOCKING tale indeed. |
blink182: see this phucking spiritualist thinking he's practising Christianity. You are so deluded.I share your sentiment, but without the strong language. ![]() |
Curious heading. She ESCAPED with his kids eh? The question then...from what did that woman deem it necessary to flee? |
Shocking, shocking responses on this thread. It doesn't seem like anyone who commented on the first page actually read the article that accompanied the photo. |
Logicboy03: Nope. You fail to see that atheism is not a religion or a set of beliefs or ideas or values. If i do not believe in the existence of God, and hold that anyone who does is just silly and needs to be forcefully made to come out of their foolishnèss, then by your reckoning i may be a deviant atheist, but an atheist nonetheless. See? The point is, it is hardly accurate to consider aberrations as a true reflection of the general character of a group. Need to go to bed now. Cheers. Edited. |
Sorry, double post. |
Logicboy03: Percentage is a proportion. Atheist divorce less- end of story. 21% is 6% less than 27%In the same way you argue that the cruel and senseless nature of the despots wasn't directly due to their atheism, one may argue, and rightly too, that nominal christians who live debased and immoral lives do so because they lack the true conviction of the christian faith, and not because christianity condones such behaviour. Christianity has its essence in Jesus Christ, and it is impossible to find a more compelling guide to morality. |
Abrantie: I'm sure you meant I have exposed the OP? No I don't think so. Besides, it doesn't matter as we don't know him, his plans or house layout or even where he lives. Each time it is mentioned that wicked weapon appears in uppercase. Due respect right there. |
yuzedo: But bros, that Hammer that they used, are you sure it isn't THOR's HAMMER??Tremble! sons of men, for the mighty mjölnir lies in the camp of thine aggressors, and who shall deliver thee from its pulverizing blow? Lord in heaven! This story sure is the scariest shît i've heard. A hammer crushing bulletproof doors! This ought to give the Nobel committee something to think about. ![]() |
violent: Unless you are a regular writer and have nurtured your writing skills over a long period, I don't see how certain grammatical errors are completely unavoidable, especially ones for which words are pronounced exactly the same way to mean exactly the same thing.Yours is a great post. It in itself illustrates its own subject matter. I get the point though. ![]() |
The poster above me is a very nice and intelligent fellow. |
toyeoye: disgusting!Hypocrite. This is not to say you're guilty of the same failing, but you cannot deny that even you, in all your saintliness, have got some quirk or other that someone else will find distasteful, or even depraved. The guy was bold enough to acknowledge a shortcoming and the least any well-meaning person can do is encourage him with gentle words, rather than attempt to degrade him. You may as well quote every other post in which a weakness is confessed and append a note to convey your revulsion, for what good that does you. |
wonlasewonimi: Association of Abused Women of Nairaland.A glimpse of the mind of a cowardly lunatic. |
jennykadry: It's a pity that a lot of men that think like you are already takenSad innit?. ![]() @Deepwaters. I find your experience quite curious, even though i have witnessed similar occurrences myself, and i would love to hear your reply to a few questions. How did you bring yourself to be so submissive to a guy who was only your boyfriend? What attracted you to him and what made you stick with him for as long as you did AFTER the psychopathic acts began? Recently i've had an experience that i think reveals another perspective to the abuse of women, and hopefully your reply will help me understand the whole thing more clearly. |
I wish i could like all the comments in this thread a thousand times over [Excepting that ogre in the first two pages, of course]. I've never been able to understand the mind of women who are convinced that it is their duty to be brutalized and be grateful for it. But then i've never been able to understand women at all. |
Anyone who purchases this car at that price should be: A. Investigated; in the case of a businessman. B. Extradited to China, tried, found guilty of something, and summarily executed, in the case of a politician. |
Simply making the best of the opportunity. They know they'll have to pay for it when they grow up. |
omo_to_dun: @OPErrr... Did you do this with a typewriter? ![]() P.S: No offence intended. |
