Nobody misfortune excites anyone, what I have written is a reminder for foolish Igbos that taunt insult n rejoice when it happen to others. Imagine Igbo claiming Awo took poison till date n you want me to shut up about a criminal Onyema now ?!
Yorubas have been celebrating the starvation and deaths of Igbo children during the civil war for years on Nairaland with pictures and taunts. Try another lie

The so called article you posted here doesn’t state where yorubas agreed port will be headed by the north so it’s hot air. It shows neutrality and they still wanting access to sea during the war which the Yorubas eventually supported due to Ojukwu ambition to take Lagos
And your yet to show me the agreement delta and rivers port signed with aboki to be the head of their own ports
grin grin so the north need to announce to you and tell you how you will be colonised? Did they announce to you that one day there would be an emirate in Lagos? You have what is referred to by psychologists as Cognitive Dissonance.

You keep on spinning childish lies. Awo sold access to the sea even before the war started so how does the fear of Ojukwu come into this?

This is why your delusional
Lagos ports predates Nigeria as an entity but your the same people who said buhari is jubril from Sudan
What about the rivers port headed by aboki
Did rivers people sign agreements with onne ports too
Did delta do the same ?

When other states like akwa ibom lagos are building new ports you show me the imaginary agreement they signed with aboki
Same way y’all claimed Awo signed imaginary deal with ojuku

Looooooool you have read too much propaganda
You avoided by decimation of the rest of your ramshackle points. Wise move...

Read and understand the world around you -

“Eventually when the war was to start with Biafra, [Awolowo] went to Ibadan and gathered all Yorubas that they should know the war about to commence was between the North and the East, and the Yoruba in the West were not part of it,” he said.

“We received this with shock and the whole Northerners met in Kaduna and we issued them a warning that we heard they (Yoruba) were not part of it and we agreed but we have one demand,” he said.

That condition, according to him was the establishment of a One Mile Corridor. “From Offa which is in our region, from the rail line to the sea (wharf) we declare One Mile Military Corridor, meaning all of them who built houses within One Mile, we will crush down their houses. And nobody will stop our vehicles and vessels from accessing the sea, this we told our Yorubas in Ilorin to tell them. And from that time we never hear them. This is Military Corridor, we of the past hope our children will carry it,” warning that nobody could stop the people of the North, whom he said number 120 million, from accessing the sea.

My dear all Nigeria accesses the sea via Yoruba land including your own elites
Lagos was former federal capital
He’s legacy stands tall till today
Oldest news paper in Nigeria
Nta was by western tv first of its kind
Foundation for education Yorubas are still the best educated in Nigeria
He never led his people to war
Last I checked zik was promised prime minister but he lost it as well
Infact threatened hell and nothing happened
Coupled with the calamities that befell your people
Awo made a deal with the north and promised them a "corridor to the sea". You think the north is like you guys that plan two or three years ahead? Fifty years on the Lagos ports are controlled mainly by dangote. The customs is headed by northerners, Nigerian Ports Authority in their grip, Dangote is building the road to the port and is going to toll it. Lagos ports brought in N1.1 Trillion last year but the road is still going to be tolled. I guess ignorance is bliss

Are you claiming Lagos was made capital because of Awo? grin no kill me with laugh abeg

Awo laid foundation for education but today SW states based on yearly WAEC stats are not among the top?

Zik did not lead anybody to war pls. Check your facts

I have not seen any igbo supporting Onyeama but im not at all surprised at these Tinubu touts and their antics. Shame is not in their dictionary.

When Innoson started producing cars these hateful demons said he was fake, when there were killings in South Africa these same lying demons claimed that Igbos were the ones most affected until the facts showed that Ogun state had the highest number of Nigerians, when the ministry of aviation bought two bulletproof cars these same bad belle people filled the internet with their bile and swore that the Igbo minister Stella Oduah committed fraud. How these people can lie so much without shame even when they are caught time after time makes me shudder.

But when Fashola spent N139 million of public money to sink two boreholes and N78 million to launch a blog nobody heard their voices. Bloody hypocrites.

See kindergarten logic. Awo cut a deal with the north in his old age and betrayed everything he had ever stood for just so the north could hand him the presidency. He cut a deal and gave the north control of your waterways, both inland and coastal until tomorrow. Las las na minister dem make am grin

Yes self defeating.

Zik never fought any war get your facts right

Zik was a pan-african hero on Nkrumah's wavelength not a local tribal champ.

Which Awo legacy is more visible today than handing the north permanent access to the sea (his region) so he could be president one day? That is self defeating

Illegal businesses are not the only thing going on across the border. There're more genuine businesses going on there than illegal. Many businesses in both Nigeria and neighboring countries are paralysed right now but that's the part your FG won't tell you.

Milo

Coke, fanta, etc.
Lux, Detol, Detla, etc.
Toothpaste- Close up, Maxam, etc.
Plastic utensils.
Electronic goods- TVs, phone, etc.
Car spare parts.
..........Plus too many others so many to name, all get supplied legitimately from Nigerian companies to neighboring countries. But guess what?Neighboring countries would soon be compeled to look ffind alternatives and put Nigerian businesses out of work. Again, this's the part they won't tell you.

You back others to your detriment because of your lack of foresight, you backed GEJ in 2011 for president even when the NW requested that they complete their second term since Yar'adua was dead and Peter Obi, Ohaneze and several Igbo politicians refused.
You were even reminded that power would move to the South and of the SE in 2015 and everyone refused. That's why people like you are now begging for the SE to be given the slot for president but who would even look at you.

Continue backing other people at your detriment, you love others to progress but you remain stagnated or even retrogressing.
Don't lie so early in the morning. Vincent Ogbulafor was removed as PDP chairman by GEJ and co for insisting on zoning.

Looking back now a lot of the Igbo beef started by no other than Nnamdi Azikwe
Okpara on the other hand was very cool headed and focused on his people’s growth sadly he wasn’t the supreme leader of igbos

History may have been better assuming it was awolowo and Okpara who transacted with each other
Zik was a self obsessed leader living in on idealism
Okpara was more realist
As far as I know Nigeria' problem until tomorrow was Awo's obsession with competing with Zik in every sphere of life. It drove him to make decisions that were terrible and self defeating

Mahama's statement clearly gave him away as selfish. He is only interested in the wellbeing of his country. To what extent did he strengthen the institutions in Ghana? He couldn't even do enough to convince Ghanaians to reelect him.

The consolation is that Buhari cares less about his self-centered remarks. Nigeria's welfare comes first.

Oga, believe it or not, Nigeria is in her best times. You need some 'smartness' to figure this out.

Dedetwo:
Aguyi-Ironsi suspended the constitution and dissolved parliament. He then abolished the regional confederated form of government and pursued unitary like policies favored by the NCNC, having apparently been influenced by some NCNC political philosophy.

Ironsi did not abolish regional government rather he promulgated decree 34 which is unification of federal civil service. If he abolished regional government, why did he appoint regional governors? The regional government was abolished by Gowon who replaced it with state government.

Ironsi fatally did not bring the failed plotters to trial as required by then-military law and as advised by most northern and western officers, rather, coup plotters were maintained in the military on full pay and some were even promoted while apparently awaiting trial..

You have written like a person who shuns the use of research apparatus. The 1963 Nigerian constitution and military code of conduct never stipulated that coup plotters have to be shot. The heaviest term was mere imprisonment after the Military Judge-advocate has determined their culpability. However before the military judge could have his/her hand on the case, the case should be made by the armed forces panel constituted by the GOC. In this case Ironsi had appointed a three-man panel that consisted of Gowon, Bala Usman and MD Yusuf. Be mindful that the panel was made up by people from the northern region of Nigeria. Instead of these goons to find the facts and proceed to the process of court-marshal, they were busy planning a counter-coup. Again it was goofy Obasanjo and fellow goons that introduced the killing of coup plotters in Nigeria after the deletion of Murtala Muhammed in 1975. It was very ironical that when the goofy Obasanjo was implicated in coup, he cried river.

Back to our business, Awo was released in August 4 1966, just 6 days to the counter coup that killed Ironsi. How in the world will Ojukwu have control over the eastern region when Gowon even hold power over Nigeria including the Eastern region up till 1967 when he proclaimed division of state into twelve.

The decision to release Awolowo was made by the supreme military council under Ironsi not Gowon. By the way, Ironsi was killed in the countercoup of July 29, 1966.

The counter-coup led to the installation of Lieutenant-Colonel Yakubu Gowon as Supreme Commander of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Gowon never agreed to being a member of the coup. In addition, coup of July 29, 1966 was not a total success because there was a military commander that did not recognize Gowon's imposition as leader of Nigeria. The military commander insisted on the correct military parlance where the chief of staff supreme military HQ, who for intents and practical purposes was 2ic (second in command) to Ironsi to be head of state in absensce of Ironsi. The impasse in the Nigeria leadership led to reconciliation talks in Aburi, Ghana.

Your entire tribe should cover your face in shame for the comment you just made.
At the bolded is that propaganda or you just don't have knowledge to discuss this topic?

Read and learn...Vincent Ogbulafor (Igbo) the former PDP chairman was removed by GEJ (Ijaw) and his loyalists in 2011 because he made a statement in support of PDP's then North/South zoning formula. Obasanjo (Yoruba) supported scrapping of the zoning before the 2011 elections so GEJ could take over until GEJ showed him he could not be controlled.
