dejt4u:Chai, this brings back fond memories of Additional Mathematics popularly called 'Addico' (now called Further Mathematics) of those days when only hot brains could hold the red coloured Additional Mathematics textbook. . |
HQuadreal:Good one from this pupil. As for the first pupil, do not be surprised if you find him in one of the Unity schools by virtue of quota system and then we wonder why the Unity schools are no longer doing well. |
mufutau55:Thanks Hajji. @ Shawls. Check Page 4 of the link posted by Hajji. |
Shawls:I have no regret using him. If you want, i can post some pics from my project that i used his paints for. All the paints were supplied by him. They were specifically produced and mixed to specification. |

Qc1:Good one and a good choice. I have followed this guy on his projects here and have been impressed. @Abdulwastecx. Please do not disappoint us on this project. You need to make Sir QC1 to smile again knowing what he has passed through. |
Lilimax:Great things start from small beginnings. Dulux paint did not start yesterday. gbadexy paints are good and affordable. A trial with the guy's paints will convince you. |
mavverick:Very terrible. Some people have a poverty mentality. You need to see as this guy struggles for space. He might hear you coming into the compound and he will not come out to say that he wants to go out. Once you are inside your flat, you then hear his car horn signaling that he wants to go out. Sometimes you just need to ignore some people especially if they are coming from a place where they were Lords and were being worshiped and they are now in a place where they are on the same level with others. There was a story of a colleague of mine in their compound. One tenant there was a business man. He will bring in 4 cars and packed them in the compound leaving no space for the man that works in an office and who normally come late in the evening to pack. The man will not come out even if you horn forever or knock on his door. One day, the office worker just block the gate in the morning with his car and traveled for a week to another state. The business could not drive out any of the cars and those that came to buy them could not test drive them because the gate has been blocked. That was the last day the man ever tried such a thing. |
spyder880:Congrats on the new project. This your argument on cars might not fly. It might interest you to know that it is younger renters, bachelors and spinsters that buys cars very early. The likelihood of all 8 younger renters, bachelors and spinsters having a car is very high. This means that there will be constant quarrels and fights and you will have to be coming to the place to settle the fights. I live in a six flats compound that can pack more than 8 cars. There is one guy that started trying to oppress everybody of recent. he will just come and arrogantly pack 4 cars in the compound. Luckily, most people do not have two cars. Even one guy that has one car will just jejely pack it on the street. When he saw that nobody was paying attention to him, three of the cars suddenly disappeared. Some people are just trouble makers. |
deathcomestoall:A boy wanted to skip school to go and learn a trade telling his father that he wants to do that because there are no jobs. The father now replied him 'what if there are jobs in the future, what will you now do'. The boy then went to school and as he was finishing, what he studied was in huge demand and the guy had several offers that he was confused on which to choose. Go and check what India makes from software. What they make from software is more than what Nigeria makes from crude oil. The developers went to school. They are not traders or artisans. Btw, have you seen how shops by traders are closing down daily while the likes of Shoprite is expanding with opening of more shops?. |
true2home:Republicans always fight a war. When Democrats are in charge, the defense companies suffer and they start angling for a Republican so that they can sell their weapons. I would not be surprised if Trump was bankrolled by defense companies. |
Breaking News: BREAKING: Edo deposes monarch, as residents protest. Source: Punch. Where is limeta?. It seems the curses directed at Adams have been re-directed. ![]() |
sekxy:With this soft and pretty face in your profile, are you sure you are studying Mechanical Engineering?. The impression has always been that it is hard ladies that study Mechanical Engineering as it is a hard course. What with all the brain cracking differential equations. |
kowasco:I have always believe that petroleum is too narrow. What if you do not get a job in the oil industry?. Mechanical can work in the same oil industry and several other places. |
limeta: ![]() But bubu said that he has talents that will be wasted if he retires and so he is needed in Abuja. Is bubu wanting him to make him the new Mr. Fix It since he successfully fixed your brother. |
3strikes:Yes o. Not only that one self. I dey also miss the google construction pictures. ![]() |
mufutau55:Thanks. The link has given me some useful information. |
Mykellio:Good insights. When CBN increased the MPR sometimes ago, i told somebody that if i can lay my hands on CBN, i will be tempted to straggle them. I told the person that how did they expect the rice millers to get access to loans for their milling business when they are increasing MPR in the name of trying to attract foreign portfolio investors(FPIs) to come and buy treasury bills and bonds that they are not even interested in coming to buy. I further told the person that they might be putting the rice farmers and millers out of business because banks would rather go and buy non-risk and tax free treasury bills and bonds at that high rate than lend to farmers and millers and those millers that take the risk to get the loan at such a high interest rate will have no option than to increase the price of rice in order to be able to make some profit. This government just like making noise and taking pictures. |
Mykellio:Ok. Thanks. So what in your opinion is the cause of the high cost of the local rice?. We had thought with all the news of bumper harvest and near sufficiency in rice production being given by the CBN, the price ought to have come down to a reasonable level but the price is still high and out of the reach of many people. Why is the price of a 50kg local rice not in the 9k-10k range?. Btw, do you have outlets in a place like Auchi in Edo state?. |
Mykellio:That post was in 2015 now or are you constantly updating the first post to reflect the new price?. |
1stCitizen:Do not mind them. Where are those that were making noise here that something will happen to Adams after some days. Now it is their king that something has happened to after some days. Whom the gods want to disgrace, they first make mad. The so-called king think we are still in the 10th century where a so-called king will just beat up a woman thinking nothing will happen. When a king descend so low as to the level of an agbero to start beating up a woman, then that king has desecrated the throne and stool and has lost respect. |
Does anybody have an idea of the current price range for a locally fabricated steel door of 7ft by 6ft and 7ft by 3ft?. |
mavverick:This one that you are mentioning brabus name, i hope you are not missing his google inspired builds and solutions that he normally post here. ![]() |
limeta:oshiomole does not sound yoruba and it is not a yoruba name. oshiomole can be broken into 'oshio' and 'mole'. 'oshio' is a popular prefix in Etsako names. It is like how the igbos prefix 'chukwu' or the yorubas prefix 'oluwa' to their names. oshiomole means 'it is God that owns today'. |
thorpido:A good idea but what the insurance companies operate these days is like the child savings account also. They only throw in insurance cover and you know insurance has several 'hidden' legal terms and conditions that you might not understand. It is when it is time to redeem that some breaches will be shown to you. I have a child account for my kids. There are times i default on the monthly payment which is not a big issue to the bank. Whenever i become buoyant, i pay in arrears. The arrears payment is not because of the bank but because i want to meet the targeted yearly amount i have set. Iam sure if you try that with insurance, you had already breached the contract of not paying premium as at when due and therefore no cover. |
thorpido:I perfectly understand what you say. Even for trading, you need capital to start. Can you start a trading with 10k?. My point is that you have to first accumulate before you now decide what you want to do. A child's saving account is an accumulation. There are people who have only 1k that they can afford to be putting in every month. What type of trading will you tell such a person to start with that 1k. Sound financial advise is that you accumulate first in a savings account and when it is something substantial, you move it to risk free investments like bonds or treasury bills. Do not forget trading can lead to serious loss and a wipe-out of the entire initial capital. |
thorpido:What iam saying is that will you not accumulate the money somewhere first before buying government bonds?. A child Savings account is not supposed to be an account that you dump a big lump sum into at once. It is suppose to be an account that you deposit a consistent amount at a defined frequency. So, if somebody wants to be depositing a fixed 10k amount every month into a child's savings account, should the person not do that but instead go and buy government bonds of 10k for that month and then at the end of the next month, he goes again to buy another government bond of 10k?. Do not forget that some banks demand for a minimum amount for government bonds and treasury bills. |
thorpido:What better ways?. I hope you know that the money is not a bulk money at once. It has to accumulate over time. So, if one is putting 10k into such an account, that comes to 120k at the end of one year. So, what better ways can you invest 120k?. |
Femaleage:This might be true but there has to be theory first before practicals. When you study the theory, you will be surprised that you will apply them when you are out. What you will study in sociology will also be theory. It is when you come out that you will start applying it. Iam not trying to discourage you sha from sociology. Only that i found it funny being a Science person myself when i was in school that a science person will opt for sociology. If you had said Economics or Accounting, maybe i would have understood. Anyway, never mind my being bias as i have a bias towards STEM. Wishing you all the best. |
kinggogo:You guys should revolt if anybody even contemplates changing it. You guys should make a treasonable felony self for anybody even nursing the idea. There are certain things that distinguish a school and also be traditional to it. St Gregs for instance still maintains her white shirt, white shorts/trousers, white belt and white tennis canvas. |
Femaleage:This is very funny. Why would you, a science student with agric, checm, physicsm biology, maths and even econs added be going for sociology?. If at all you made good grades in Phy, Chem, Bio, Maths, iam still wondering why you are choosing Sociology. What happens to the Medical Sciences and Engineering?. When you say sociology is versatile, what exactly do you mean and how versatile is it?. |
