Get a trusted Doctor to give you a fake test result that says that you are to abstain from s*x for a period of two(2) years due to something something (the Doctor should look for one big Medical jargon) and show it to him. The test result should be backdated so that he will not suspect. Hopefully, that will stall him while a permanent solution to keep him at bay is being looked into.

na wa for all these old men. Plenty runs babes with all manner of shapes and sizes dey outside and he dey disturb a hardworking lady in his office.

FOR ME IT IS THE FINEST, NOT THE BEST.
This school is real fine. Were these new structures built by the Anambra state government of were they built by PTA or the school management?. I hope the total fees(tuition, boarding and others) for this school is not too high. A school with structures like these will likely not be cheap.

Those who nurture such preconceived ideas are hypocrites.

Ask them deeply, they all have one issue or the other with their sister in-laws (their brothers' wives).

Mother in laws are wicked yet as small as you are you condemn your brothers' girlfriends and wives.. make we hear word abeg
Do not mind them. There is this lady that i know of that when her brother's wife did not get pregnant on time, you need to see the pressure she was putting on him to go outside and was even arranging outside babes for the brother so that he can have kids. She too now got married and when she did not get pregnant on time, she said that Pastors and Prophets said that her mother-in-law is a witch and that it was the mother-in-law that has closed her womb. Real hypocrisy.

Benita27:
In order to burst your bubble Sir!,...i don't do home movies. grin
Secondly, your observation was right...i will naturally be scared of meeting my mother in-law for the first time.

Why will your wife hide to those advice given to her by her sisters if she has a kind mother in-law?.

All been said still doesn't change the fact that there are mean mothers in-law.
Why will you be scared if you do not already have the 'wicked mother-in-law' thoughts in you?. I do not know if you are married yet and if you are and you have a son, then in future, the lady he is going to bring home to you will also be naturally scared the first time. So the cycle continues.

Mothers always find it difficult to let go of their sons. It is a natural thing. Fathers easily move on about their daughters and that is why it is easier between father-in-law and their son-in-law. Despite the fact that i have kids of 11 years and 9 years, my mother still calls me a boy and will even threaten to slap or flog me if i misbehave and we will all burst into laughter. So, you can see that a mother's bond for her son never wanes. That is what causes the friction. I was recently in the hospital where a mother has been with her kid son that is on admission for two days. You could see the stress and tiredness on her face and also how the boy is clinging to her with her continuously petting him. Such a mother will always look back at such bond. Daughter-in-laws should always try to understand. The day my son went to boarding house, when we got home, my wife was wiping tears from her eyes. This is a school here in Lagos that is just a 10 minutes drive away and there is now GSM to even call the boarding house master. I now told her that she should then reflect on what my own mother went through then when i had to go to boarding house in a place that is about 300km away without GSM then to call and the only means of communication was by writing and posting a letter through NIPOST.

Abeg, daughter-in-laws, make una dey pity mother-in-laws. They are not bad or wicked. Daughter-in-laws initial body language is what raises the antenna in mother-in-laws. This is why i normally pray for every lady to give birth to a boy so that she will know how it feels.

I think we can take advantage of the rise of China. The Chinese have the money, the know how and technology. They need raw materials and market, we can use that to our advantage, we can copy or borrow their know how and technology to build our nation.

We can provide the market, cheap labor force that Chinese desire. The Chinese don't have history of colonization like the west.
They do not have the history because the colonization of the West is now past history. They will create their own. You normally see that for every infrastructure 'MOU' they sign, it is their companies that do the work. They cannot transfer their technology to you because technology is never transferred, it is normally 'stolen'. Check all their projects and see if there is any 'local' in their sensitive technology areas

Colonialism us a crime against humanity and one the most absurd concept used by so called WHITE to steal and kill most third world nation.

White don't developed the indigenous population, they dominate, exclude and marginalized host community wherever they settled. Look at the native American in the state, look at black South Africans in South Africa, look at aborigines in Australia, look at native Canadian etc. The so called WHITE create all these mess all over the world.

Our biggest problem is the type and quality of education we inherited from the so called white, they rule us for more than 60years and leave us in a serious mess, with no infrastructure, an artificial nation build on divide and rule etc.

Black or dark skin people are also capable of building a great nation if left alone, we can build our roads, electricity, factory etc if allowed to live in peace.

South Africa is in trouble because of apartheid which discriminated against native.
How would you feel if you are not allowed to attend the University just because you are Black/dark skin?
How would you feel when you are systematically camped in a getto, all your ancestorer land taking away from you because you are black?

South Africa black are one of the poorest group in South Africa because of white injustice.

I will take up arm to fight any white or Chinese invader that want to take over my country
Are the Chinese not already systematically taking over with all these infrastructure 'MOUs' we are signing with them?. Just do your 'proposed' lucrative assets sales and see the people that will buy them.

Pop is made of calcium sulfate (gypsum). We have abundance of it in nigeria.
I was just discussing with someone today and he said there is abundant availability of it in the north.
There is sufficient quantity in ogun state also and it's used in part of cement production there to control setting time.
Dangote uses it as additive in cement and it's gotten on his ibeshe plant. I washed the demonstration documentary when they opened the plant.
I've thought about it and even discussed it with my big brother on nairaland when he was enquiring about chemical import ideas with me.
The production is fairly straightforward but the energy and invariably the production cost may deter investors.
The gypsum exists in hydrated form and it's heated to a temperature to partially drive of the water of hydration and ground to powder.
When it gets in contact with water again, it's rehydrate back to the original form it was and thicken as a result. So the water used in pop actually remains in it even in the hard state. The excess water dries out but it's very hard already even before the excess water dries.
So basically, the natural state it exists in nature even in nigeria is the form it exists in your pop ceiling. It's just heated to partially dry off the hydration water and ground (recycled).
That's why it has fire retardant property. When in contact with flame, it releases steam that reduces surface temperature and slows spread of fire.
Nobody will think about this now. Instead we will be going about abusing each other on cyberspace. When the Chinese move in now and start making millions on a daily basis from it, we will start crying that the Chinese are carting away millions from our backyard.
EducationRe: School Fees At Children's International School, Lekki by NL1960: 9:19am On Sep 28, 2016
naptu2:
You still haven't answered my questions. Why should the government fix fees? How are parents at the mercy of the schools when there are hundreds of cheaper and free schools? Many people on this thread have said that there are better schools around that are cheaper or even free, so how are the parents at the mercy of these schools? There are people who have the money to send their kids to this kind of schools, but choose not to, so how is attending this kind of school a necessity? Where did I say that they should be scrapped? Please read my posts again.

Parents have a wide variety of schools that they can send their kids to. In Lagos alone, parents have the choice to send their kids to expensive fee paying schools like

Dowen College, American International School, British International School, Green Springs, White Sands, Lagoon School, Atlantic Hall, Chrisland School, etc.

They can send their kids to high quality, but cheaper legacy schools like:

CMS Grammar School, St Gregory's College, Kings College, Methodist Boys High School, Baptist Academy, Aunty Ayo International School, Ansar Ud Deen, Queens College, Our Lady Of Apostles, Methodist Girls High School, St Finbarr's College, International School Lagos, Federal Government College Ijanikin, Command Secondary School Ikeja, etc.

They can send their kids to quality government schools like (most of these schools are free) :

Lagos State Model College Badore, Government College Victoria Island, Government College Ikoyi, Government College Eric Moore, Birch Freeman High School, Oriwu Model College, etc.

They can send their kids to other cheaper private schools like:

Grace Schools, Apata Memorial High School, Adebayo Mokolu College, Fountain Heights Secondary School, Princeton School, etc.

They can also send their kids to free government schools like:

Kuramo College, Victoria Island Secondary School, Akande Dahunsi, Boys Academy, Jubril Martins High School, Government College Maroko.

The people that send their kids to these other schools are also human beings. Check the front page, you'll read about a governor that sent his child to a (free) government school. Yet you want government to set the school fees? What's next? Government should set the price of your car, your phone, your medical expenses, etc? These communist policies do not work! Parents that send their kids to these schools will simply send them to schools abroad, while teachers that teach in these schools will move to other countries where they can earn what they believe they are worth. The owners of such schools will simply set up schools in Benin, Ghana, Togo and other countries where they are free to set the school fees (nigerians already own secondary schools and universities in these countries and there are a lot of nigerian students there). That's how brain drain starts. Parents and the market should determine if these schools are too expensive. If they are too expensive, they won't have any students and they'll be forced to reduce their fees or shut down.

(By the way, the word you are looking for is shylock, not Sherlock Holmes)
You have nailed it with the bold. People always quickly jump out in Nairaland and start blazing away when they see the word 'expensive school fees in millions' as if such parents do not have the choice to send their kids to such a school. It is a choice thing.

If the government is to fix the fees, then what are the various consideration?. Should the school fees for a private school in Lagos be the same amount as the school fees for a private school in Zamfara?. This will now throw up the present problems we have in the political emoluments of elected persons where the government sets salaries and allowances centrally not considering that the monthly IGR of one state can be the yearly IGR of another state and yet the two are expected to pay the salaries and allowances to his elected people.

The school is for expatriates and wealthy Nigerians so why are you taking paracetamol for the headache of people who know what they are paying their money for?
Do you think these expatriates and wealthy Nigerians are dumb?
O ga o. See hatred o!!!
Nairalanders are very funny people. Once they see 'expensive' school, they go gaga and start saying all sorts. Meanwhile, none of them says the actual amount they also paid when they were in school. If somebody pays N2m and they pay 10k, they start shouting that the N2m person has over paid and if such a child is being taught something else. Meanwhile, while they are paying 10k, which they think is small, somebody else is complaining that it is too high and is paying 5k. Another person is also saying that the person paying 5k is too high because his is paying no fees. People should stop hating. Na person wen get him money know how he wan spend am. It is not everybody that is corrupt or a thief. People earn honest money.

funniest thing is that one 1 kid will come first, second and third. We will still have those who come 44th in those classes lol.
Are you aware that in every sphere of life, there can never be first, first, first etc?. The fact that somebody comes 44th does not mean that the person failed. The difference in marks between the first, second, third and 44th person might not be up to 5 marks. When i was in secondary school, we used to think this way in my class until one day, we decided to tabulate our scores ourselves and discover to my amazement that the the first person beat the second by a 'point something'. This pattern continued for other positions. Today, those we thought were not brilliant because they were in the 11-20th positions are top Medical Doctors and Engineers in the world today.
