Romance / Re: Where Did I Go Wrong by NobleDeSage001: 9:29am On Feb 27, 2020
Perhaps you set your mind on playing football as a way for you to escape (hammer) poverty. That's not a bad idea but majority of Nigerians who made it through soccer were just lucky to have met their destiny helpers at some point.
You are just 20 years old and you have given up on life already. I doubt if you really have passion for the game of soccer. If you do, you will still play it whether the connection is there or not.
Go back to school and continue playing soccer. Play for your department or school. You might just be lucky to be spotted by your destiny helper in school.
Romance / Re: I Can't Trust My Fiancé. Do I Have A Problem? by NobleDeSage001: 1:29am On Feb 27, 2020
A partner that lies is very dangerous and unreliable.
You no longer trust her. It's better to back off now than to have a broken marriage. It's not likely she will change.
There are two things you can do:
1. Confront her, engage her head on and tell her how you feel. This may put a strain on your relationship and possibly bring it to an end.
2. Keep quite and go into the marriage with an untrusted partner. If you do this, your mind will never be at rest.

Family / Re: Stereotype About Only Sons by NobleDeSage001: 3:23pm On Feb 25, 2020
It may not be correct to generalize about only sons but I understand where your girlfriend is coming from.
I have a friend who is an only son. This guy is over 35 years but he is still searching for a wife. Some of the girls he wanted to marry were not approved by his sisters. He wants to marry someone who acceptable to his sisters. From this background, it is very clear that his wife will be a house maid in her husband's house because the sisters will be the one running the show. The guy may not always stand for the wife.

Family / Re: Married But I'm Not Connected With My Husband, Hence I'm Depressed by NobleDeSage001: 1:51am On Feb 23, 2020
Girlwhocares:

Yes,have been dating my bf for (15yrs)he was my first nd the only one have ever loved, our problem started when my dad said he witnessed where exhibited an unruly characters to some elders and also cos of the friends he moves with recently as at then and that he wasnt comfortable with our relationship (which i pleaded and made him understand everyone deserves another chance but cos how principled my dad was he insisted he won't consent to our union)
To be candid, this is the guy have share all my life with,he's all i wanted in a man but my dad opinion ruined our relationship.

I think seperation from my husband is all i need just for clarity sake but honestly, the more i try to make the marriage work the more i drift away from him and I dont know how to go about it.

I have visited two marriage counsellors without informing my husband all in my effort to work things but not yielding results as expected

This is actually your problem. You invested all you have in your ex - emotionally, physically, sexually, psychologically, in fact everything you have got in you as a human being.
Your heart is bruised because your father prevented you from marrying the love of your life. You have not forgiven your father for that decision and your husband is being punished because of it.
There are only two things you can do: 1. If you want to use your might or power, you will never love your husband and you both will keep drifting apart through the years. The only option is to leave the marriage and stop punishing him. Four years is enough already for the punishment.
2. If you are willing to let God handle this, yield to Him. Pray fervently and ask Him to heal your bruised heart. Also, pray for grace to forgive your father and let go of the past.
You can only love your husband when your heart is totally healed.
Seek God's healing Grace. Peace be with you.

Romance / Re: Please Help Me To Identify The Problem In Our Relationship by NobleDeSage001: 1:29am On Feb 22, 2020
Your babe's reactions are expected but might be a bit too much.
You are insensitive to her emotions. You believe you have a free mind since you don't a thing for Rose. Be considerate and give your girl some sense of security.
Counselling will surely be helpful. You both have so much to learn.
Find another apartment and pack out as soon as possible.
In the final analysis, I do not think that you have much of big problems. You both need to learn and understand how to manage your differences.
Romance / Re: This Is A Narrative Of What Is Happening Right Now In China ( Coronavirus ) by NobleDeSage001: 6:39pm On Feb 21, 2020
Covid - 19 just like over 64 other previously identified coronaviruses have their natural hosts in animals such as bats, snakes etc.
The Covid - 19 epidemic is suspected to have originated from a market in Wuhan were wild animals are sold. The first patients who were diagnosed of this various were traders in that market. The market had been tested and found to be completely infested with the Covid - 19 which led to its shutdown.
Covid - 19 is not bioengineered.

Are you willing to fight for your love?
Do you think you can persevere and wait?
If you are in hurry to marry, then just move on, if not, then tarry...
Tallesty1 captured what seems like the situaton with your guy.

If he is willing to fight for you, let him get all his elder siblings and their spouses to support him to marry you.
This way, his parents will simply be overwhelmed and allow him marry you. His elder siblings and perhaps uncles and aunts can save him the heartache his parents are subjecting him to.
I understand your pains. Stay strong and don't give up yet. True love is worth fighting for. I am passing through same experience presently.
Travelling out of Nigeria may be an option too only if he has the support of his elder siblings.

Do you have a girlfriend? If the answer is no, then try and get one and stay committed to only her. This will make people see you as a more responsible guy.

Events / We Must Stop Buying Wedding Gifts by NobleDeSage001: 6:52am On Dec 21, 2019
The Christmas season is already here once again and it is not unusual to see an increase in the rate of wedding celebrations across Nigeria and perhaps other parts of the globe throughout this season. Of course, wedding celebrations are not exclusive to only Christmas periods but large numbers of people often fix their wedding dates during festive seasons when they are sure that family members, friends and well wishers would most probably be available and are very much free to grace their nuptial events.

Whenever wedding celebration is mentioned, some of the things that readily come to mind include but not limited to wedding gift items. By wedding gift items, I mean all the tangible materials that are normally presented to couples during their wedding ceremony...

chidiebereuzoma:

Well, it's really a difficult situation I must say. But I know that some men who cheat still love their woman, but they are just addicted to sex. They always regret it so deep

Bro if you know what true love means, you won't advice her to go into a hurtful relationship that she will never trust her man or be at peace.
To love your partner is to respect them and remain loyal to that single person no matter how you are tempted to cheat.
To love your partner is to not cause them pain or heartache in whatever form or guise. Love seeks for the best for the sake of the other person in any given situation whether the person is aware or not.

Romance / Re: What Should I Do Now.... PLEASE ADVICE! by NobleDeSage001: 5:40pm On Dec 05, 2019
If flirting with other women will reset her brain, then sustain it. You did it and it worked but then apply wisdom.
Her attitude is as a result of your far distance from her. She will need time to unlearn what she learned while you were not at home. A habit learned is usually difficult to drop.
Talk to her about the damage she is causing in your marriage with her attitude (disrespect, insensitivity). Keep sounding it into her ears until you notice a positive result.
You need to be patient with her with the hope that she will change. Both of you need to clearly understand each other's likes and dislikes as well as tolerance threshold.
Good luck to you two.
Romance / Re: I Think My Elder Brother's Fiancee Is Trying To Seduce Me. by NobleDeSage001: 6:48am On Nov 18, 2019
I took time to read all the comments on this thread. I think there is something which is missing yet. Just a few persons advised you to seek salvation. I must be frank with you. What you are experiencing now is the fruits of the seeds you and your brother sowed in the past. Your brother made a monster out of your innocent and beautiful soul and that monster has grown and turned against him. "If you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind". It is a natural law.
What you need as a matter of urgency is sound counselling and deliverance session. If you don't seek help to nip in the bud what you have confirmed and acknowledged to be a problem, you will still be falling in and out of these type is issues in the future. You can go ahead and record a video of the girl with any of the previously suggested methods and present it as evidence to the closest person to you in your family but I want you to save yourself from impending damnation in the future.
As a matter of fact, you see most ladies around you as sex tools. If this is happening with you and your brother's girlfriends, imagine what would happen with you and your sisters' female friends, your male friends' girlfriends, your girlfriend's female friends by the time you get one. What would happen when you start your Masters program? By the time you start work or become a CEO, all your female work colleagues, by the time you get married, you may not spare your wife's sisters and her female friends. Don't allow the devil to keep messing with your head. Seek Jesus Christ genuinely now and turn a new leaf.
Good luck
