My dear Paulipopo, Miracles that came out from the demonstration of God's Word and His Spirit can only be TRUE! If the Spirit of Him that raised JESUS from death dwells in you, you will pray by the Power of the Holy Ghost to multiply His Grace on Pastor Chris and many other anointed men and daughters of God all over the world. The devil is defeated already! This is not the play of theology, religion and it's politics!
but i m sure u have a problem with TB Joshua`s version of miracles,,,,, right?

Kobojunkie:
Having foreign corporations function within our shores remains a good way to push for competition, at the same time improving quality of goods and services provided. The major reason why Nigerian corporations are not necessarily doing well is simply because majority of them do not consider the real needs of their clientele. Nigerian businesses have been known to be lapse in the area of pushing quality over quantity. Their foreign counterparts continue to have an edge in that area and until that trend is quelled, the status quo will most likely continue.

One does not need to be a genius to know that the main reason vast majority of Nigerians prefer foreign goods and serves is because they believe it is of higher quality than Nigerian goods. We have a country of over 75 million poor people who still prefer to purchase foreign goods if they can afford it. That number is a huge market there for a Nigerian corporation to break in, if it truly desires to do so. The question is how many local companies are willing to break out and do the sensible thing?

There are thousands, if not millions of Nigerian businesses out there( registered and unregistered). Every one of them has potential for growth, whether there continue to exist competition from foreign corporations or not. Problem is how many of these businesses are willing to adopt a better model that ensures them a larger piece of the market?
i couldnt have put it better, . . . . . . . . . . . . . well said and so true.

@ poster
when u refer to privatization, I m tempted to ask how many non private coporations or companies still thrive in nigeria today?
or are u refering to nationalization?

Christianity EtcRe: These Are The Men Preparing The Way For The Anti Christ by noetic(m): 10:20pm On Aug 23, 2008
uchkochi:
The pope is one of the anti christs

Now there are many anti christ preparing the way for the main anti christ who shall come from china.
Just like John the Baptist and the prophets prepared the way for the first coming of Jesus Christ .

The roman catholic pope is one of the anti Christ preparing the way for the chief anti Christ. The roman catholic doctrine contradicts scriptures, you will not serve God better if you are a reverend father or a nun, you only open the door for the devil because two are better than one. The priest in scriptures married Eli the priest had two sons. It is a traditional pretence and cover up. God himself said it is not good for a man to be alone.
Another fact is the rosaries and statues all these are idols. You wont know the significance unless you are really deep in it. Please run away from there and embrace the truth anything you do that is not supported by the bible is fake.

Another prominent anti Christ is T b Joshua, even though he preaches on TBN DOES NOT MAKE HIM GENUINE. Tbn might just be commercially inclined. The man TB Joshua might heal or perform several miracles but by their fruits you shall know them how come he is not in the Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria. He refused to join forces with other believers to herald the coming of Jesus Christ.
MATTHEW CHAPTER 24.

Forget about the signs it can come on an act. The devil can manipulate signs remember he worked with God before he came down.

Another tool the devil is using is pornography, virtually every secular thing carries porn in it. Adverts, movies, newspapers magazine, people enjoy talking sex than the word of God. Please its time to return to God in peace as the end comes.

Its my prayer that you order your life aright you are either a full time Christian or you are not. See you at the top

@ paulipopo

u have done very well in expressing ur opinion and convictions. your opinion and position reflects an informed mind, knowledgble enough to ask sensitive questions. I commend ur guts and intellect and ur decision to limit ur contributions to issues.

while i defer to call oyakhilome a fraud, cos i m honestly not bothered, but my opinion cannot b far from urs.
none of the self proclaiming christian zealots antagonising u have been able to intellectually or reasonably address the issues u raised, they are evoking sentiments, mediocricy, hypocrisy and the "say nothing about a man of GOd mentality" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

i was once a frequent worshipper in one of his churches when i was in Lautech. the doctrines they prophesed contradicted my personal convictions. as we all know morality is the yardstick for religion. . . . . the rest is history.

but to lend credence to d issues u earlier stated, . . . . . . . the commercialisation of miracles and the gospel is the only evidence needed to know a fake prophet or pastor.
let those who antagonise u ask them selves if oyakilomes version of the gospel and miracles is commercial or not?

@ Lady

while u have attempted to offer biblibical reflections on ur opinion, I will however disagree with u but agree with david on this.
the reasons are obvious, which except for the jibes, david has explained.

a poser . . . .
God gave moses over 300 laws/ommandments in total, why do u attach so much importance to the 10 moses recieved on the mount and not the others?
while not attempting to restate what has been stated, refer back to davids post where Jesus said that the greatest commandment of all is Love. . . . . . . . . . love knows no sin and conquers all.
i bet u would have another opinion partainin to these commandments that also forbids women leaving their hair uncovered or wearing men clothing. . , . , . .

it is to avoid such misinterpretations and uninformed opinions that Jesus said that Love is d greatest commandment.

yemivictor:
In summary, if i started my prayer like this:

O Lord GOD, Creator of all Heaven & Earth, Master of the Universe, GOD of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thank you in Faith for answering my prayers positively, in the Mighty Name of JESUS, Amen!

Have i prayed amiss!? undecided
I 'd like to tink u r an ardent fan of oyedepo beyound reason. cos all ur issues have been adressed by david n others.

there is no moral, spiritual, physical, ethical terrestial or extra-terrestial justification for consciously substituting the name of Jesus with oyedepo. as a matter of fact, his lifestyle and convictions dont impress me as a person. the testimonies abound concerning the "posperity" dictates of his ministry which negate everything I believe in.

And please dont gimme that crap, that he is an annointed man of God and as such I should not . . . . . read John1:12 to understand that watever right he has in God, so do I.

I refuse to be spiritually stupid
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by noetic(m): 2:29am On Jul 10, 2008
Esss:
So you justify praying to the God of Oyedepo just because Nebuchadnezzar prayed to the God of Shedrac & co. Abi??

Did it ever occur to you that as at the time when he offered that prayer, it was because whatever it was Shedrac and his crew were worshiping seemed to be the most potent God as of the time. If someone else had performed something that outshined theirs I'm 100% certain that Nebuchadnezzar would have prayed to that God also.

So lets just get this straight, T.B Joshua as far as I am concerned seems to be serving the kind of God that might protect him from a fiery furnace so I ask do we pray to the God of T.B Joshua?? Chriss Angel seems to have a very unique god which is capable of walking through glass without a cut or even a scratch, do we then Pray to the god of Chriss Angel??

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Not through the God of Oyedepo.

You christians will always find an excuse to cover the actions of your pastors.
Even if you find him in bed with your wives I'm sure you'll tell me the story of David and Uriah. Suckers.
right on point

davidylan:
Esss you beat me to it.
The two examples from the book of Daniel focus on a man who didnt know God at all. All He knew about Him was that He was a miracle worker that a certain Daniel, Meshach, Shadrak and Abednego prayed to. Hence his choice of words.

There are other examples were the jews prayed in the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob . . . that also is no excuse . . . prior to the new testament God's name remained unknown. Now we have the name of Jesus, the name where which every new shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus THE CHRIST is Lord. How then should we go back to praying in the NAME of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

We know only too well that these men praying in the name of the God of Oyedepo are not doing it out of reverence to God . . . rather it is the man who has become their idol.
well said.

PoliticsSoldiers On Strike: Trason, Mutiny Or Rightful Protest by noetic(op): 1:36pm On Jul 05, 2008
Panic gripped residents of Akure, the Ondo State capital on Friday as hundreds of soldiers from the 323 Artillery Regiment, Akure embarked on a violent demonstration.

The ever busy Akure-Ondo Road was deserted as the rampaging soldiers made bonfires on the highway. Our correspondent gathered that the mayhem was due to the non-payment of the soldiers who served in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia.

There was fear in other parts of Akure as residents stayed indoors on hearing that soldiers were on a public protest. The protest, which started around 3p.m, lasted till 6p.m, as the soldiers who were chanting war songs forced motorists coming into Akure to turn back. They also stopped motorists travelling outside the state capital.

The protesting soldiers said that they were not paid $1,228 monthly allowance which was approved for them by the UN. They alleged that they were being underpaid by the Nigerian Army.

The soldiers alleged that a female officer, who served in the peacekeeping operation, simply identified as Helen, died as a result of the sickness she contracted during the assignment. They said that she died because she could not afford money to treat herself since she was denied her entitlements. The rampaging ex-peacekeepers disobeyed their Commanding Officer, Lt-Col Gabriel Umelo, and also threatened to deal with him.

The Nigerian constitution begins with the bogus "We the people . . ."

Noetic, do you remember being a part of drafting that constitution?
not at all. The constitution was hurriedly assembled to protect some intreasts.
We don't need a "sovereign national conference", it is simply a ruse to pull the wool over our unsuspecting eyes. What we need is a drastic restructuring of Nigeria from the bottom up and that has to start with putting a new constitution up for a referendum and no longer in the hands of the very brigands who are the very reason for our present predicament.
I concur.

but i tink that only a people engineered revolution can bring about these neccessarry changes.
the leadership have failed, the followership have failed
the critics have also failed,. . . .

until we feel that enuf is enuf and stand up to these paople, our aspirations will forever be mere dreams.
There are two things Nigerians must define first?
- What is Nigeria?
- What is our definition of citizenship?
David, I agree with ur line of thought.
But the avarage nigerian does not really care about this things. They want food, clothing, shelter and education.
thats y i pity all those advocates of igbo or watever presidency!!!

but whichever way those definitions go, the common man needs must be met.
