I think it is you who is confused.

If I understood the poster correctly. If the South East was independent and run by igbos who value individualism and meritocracy unlike Hausa/Fulani; then you would probably see the return of better governance.

At this stage I think it is clear for all to see that successive Northern governments have all been a failures.

Buhari being the most recent and notable example with zero accountability for his failures. Were he an honest individual he would have stepped down and accepted that he is no longer fit to run Nigeria.

The poster no longer believes in Nigeria and obviously has greater faith in a furture state of Biafra. This is very much the result of Buhari's poor leadership..

So you wont thunderfire Buhari for killing your kin across the SW. As he pumps a few more Naira into Lagos before the election in 2023.

So your votes and obedience can be bought so cheaply?

Remember this man starved Lagos of funds, but found the money to build numerous freeways and electrify Kano..!

Good news, sadly after the events of Lekki Tollgate, no amount of good deeds can wash away the blood of that event...

I remember when he went to Buhari pleading for loads of cash to rebuild Lagos.

Buhari undoubtably showered him with more cash than usual in an effort to buy off lagosians.

If you want real long term change, you know what to do come 2023.. Vote out any Northerner and put in true southerners who care for their people..

You have changed the narrative again.why are you talking carelessly? You claimed buhari appoints mostly northerners without any fact and you claimed it is relevant while my stats that is factual irrelevant? What amateurish nonsense.the dictionary meaning of nepotism is consistent with my definition,it is the general standard and even our laws use dictionary definition which is generic...

You claimed wildly that 95% of top posts are held by northerners? Do you realize that almost all buhari appointees are head of agencies and 53% are southerners ?
I didnt change the narrative I made it more specific. I made it clearer that Buhari is engaging in Ethnic Nepotism even providing the definition below..

In sociology, the term ethnic nepotism describes a human tendency for in-group bias or in-group favouritism applied by nepotism for people with the same ethnicity within a multi-ethnic society.

"Kicked dogs always bark"

My truths have obviously caused you discomfort which is why you are barking incessantly..

Look stop wasting my time with your lies. An earlier poster already posted a list of NNPC heads and almost all were Northerners.

Look face it, southerners now see the truth. Your lies wont save you anymore.

Whether you are a paid poster, Northerner or both. Your people are on their way out come 2023 mark my words...

Like the Tigray in Eithiopia, you will only have yourselves to blame...
PoliticsRe: EFCC: Buhari Names Abdulrasheed Bawa To Replace Magu by nograv: 3:09pm On Feb 16, 2021
garfield1:
You are wrong.nepotism is when you appoint people that are your blood relatives or friends.him being from the north and being a Muslim makes it tribalistic not nepotistic.you can't say buhari is tribalistic because 53% of his appointees are southerners.right from inception, efcc and fct ministers are always headed by northerners.seems its like a silence rule, its not about buhari.mind you last week he made a southerner dg of intelligence agency
Nonsense

Ok to be more precise it is Ethnic Nepotism

In sociology, the term ethnic nepotism describes a human tendency for in-group bias or in-group favouritism applied by nepotism for people with the same ethnicity within a multi-ethnic society.

That describes Buhari's behaviour in a nutshell. I wont waste too much time on your lies.. That 53% of appointees are Southern is an irrelevant statistic.

A more important one is who occupies the top positions at government agencies and over 95% of appointments have been to Northerners and Muslims. Precisely meeting the definition of ethnic nepotism.

Dont worry Northerners will get their own treatment come 2023 when they are thrown out I assure you.
PoliticsRe: EFCC: Buhari Names Abdulrasheed Bawa To Replace Magu by nograv: 2:07pm On Feb 16, 2021
garfield1:
Is he related to buhari
Stop being silly, does his name indicate the following :

A.Is he Muslim or Christian?

B. Is he a Southerner or Northerner?

You know as well as I do he is A a muslim and B a Northerner. That is nepotism and no amount of whattaboutery will change that.

Nigeria had a federal character to avoid such bias in appointments.

Buhari has shamelessly ignored it. But I am glad he did, he has now unified the south against the Arewa region. Come 2023, Southerners will vote accordingly, probably for a non northern candidate.

They probably will have no issue with Northerners being swept out of the offices of state after Buhari's shameless tenure.

Science/TechnologyRe: World’s Oldest Brewery In Ancient Egyptian City Discovered By Archaeologists by nograv: 9:36pm On Feb 15, 2021
uuzba:
Most of technology began around north Africa, and Europe. Due to Christianity, people were moving around from one place to another to preach and spread the Gospel. At the same time, they were carrying information about technology. Ceaser did this, Nero did that. When you hear about the technology, you learn it fast and adapt. That's why all European countries seem to be at the same level of development.
As for Africa, Egypt is where all the ghen-ghen started, far back even before Christianity. Pharaoh and Ramses and their pyramids and chariots..
But look at this map of Africa, Egypt is at the top, Nigeria is at the bottom of West Africa. There is a mighty Sahara Desert in between.
Without any vehicle, food or water, it does not make any sense for any technologically advanced Egyptian to cross the terrible desert and come down to Nigeria to preach or teach anybody anything. They cannot cross to Congo due to heavy thick forest and they can't get to South Africa due to more forest and Kalahari desert.
We that are living here are the descendants of our ancestors that managed to cross down to this area. They didn't have anything. No idea of technology and had to start everything from scratch.
Our Ancestors may have been here since the time of Moses. But they were disconnected from everything, just living inside bush hunting one antelope to eat. No city, no house. and very few. There was an ancient Mali civilization, but that one died off due to no access to European technology. Europeans that got there, just destroyed the place and the people could not compete with them and fight back. They were just villagers.
You know the level that we were operating at in our villages whilst the Europeans had already advanced seriously,
THEN,....
The Europeans used SHIPS and sailed along the water OUTSIDE Africa, to come here and colonise us and Educate us on all the "latest" technology.
That is what happened.
That is why Africa seems to be always backwards all over the continent.
Incorrect, while most of sub Saharan Africa was restricted by geography. All evidence suggests that when black populations met benign climatic conditions an advanced civilisation was the result.

You already recognised the Malian civilisation which surpassed medieval Europe in terms of wealth, scientific sophistication and literacy.

However other advanced Black civilisations have existed in the past. The Egyptians themselves said they came from the South up the Nile. Hence why the Southern portion of Egypt was called Upper Egypt and the Northern portion was called Lower Egypt. That would appear peculiar until you look at the map from a Black Sub-Saharan perspective. Genetic evidence on mummified animal remains from Punt corroborates that artefacts were brought back from Eithiopia.

https://www.dartmouth.edu/press-releases/mummified-baboons-shine-new-light-on-the-lost-land-of-punt.html

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidbressan/2020/12/21/3300-year-old-baboon-skull-is-thought-to-have-come-from-the-lost-land-of-punt/?sh=386ee4152f76

Even the latter link points to western hypocrisy, even though genetics don’t lie, the author says ‘Skull is thought to come from the lost land of punt’

Why the confusion? The Egyptians themselves said they came from Punt and engraved hieroglyphs with this knowledge.

Anyway, other examples of civilisations that blossomed include the Nubians, Aksumite and in Nigerian Nok culture the latter a brief burst of complex culture that coincides with unique climatic conditions. The Swahili confederacy also showed a remarkable level of development.

There is nothing wrong with blacks and we created remarkable civilisations when the right conditions arose. That foreign populations either stole or denigrated the efforts of early civilisations is not conjecture. That the earliest Egyptians were more than likely to have come from what is termed as sub Saharan Africa shouldn’t be dismissed as Afro centricism when genetic evidence now corroborates these assumptions.

Even your statement that most technology came from European or Arab regions is incorrect. The oldest iron smelters in the world, have been found in east Africa and Nigeria. Africa was unique that it never had a Bronze Age and went straight to Iron Age. Even domestication of animals and plants, like coffee in Eithiopia , Nigerian wild rice, the dwarf goat and guinea fowl shows we made advances in other areas too.

Good day to you..

Hmmmm... Doesn't this ring a bell about a certain country we all know now
The Egyptians themselves said they came from Punt. A queen Hapshepsut went on an expedition to the home of their ancestors and brought back two baboons. Recently the genetics of the baboon mummies were analysed and the origin was Eithiopia.

Blacks created the first and greatest civilisation in Egypt, that lasted longer than western civilisation.

But it was infiltrated and its legacy stolen by foreigners. Just like blacks today, the Egyptians loved marriages to foreign queens. In time with marriages within the political class, immigration by foreigners and outright invasion the civilisation was lost.

Even today, with the creation of the Aswan dam the Black history of Egypt is slowly being erased. Learn from this lesson Black people..

Really? Spare me the sob story.

When a Fulani has risen through the ranks to become the leader of Nigeria, I dont think Fulani suffer from any disadvantage.

The increasing frustration Nigerians rightly have with Fulani is that a good proportion of their number are simply bad citizens, engaging in Banditry, Kidnap and Terrorism across the nation.

At the same time, their cohorts in the political establishmsnt turn a blind eye to the abuses committed by their ethnic kin.

That is what the average Nigerian takes exception to, nothing more..

Only recently it was darling daddy, IPOB is the problem and the Fulani were above criticism.

Where are we today? the Fulani are rightly demonised as criminals across the nation.

Yoruba increasingly acknowledge the criticism of the Nigerian state made by Igbos. They see commonalities in their respective people's plight..

No Yoruba man after the rise of Sunday Igboho condemned the attacks on Fulani cattle made by the ESN. We now have Amotekun.

Despite the tables turning, you still think I am a dreamer.

You are on the wrong side of history and deep down I think you know it.

Buhari pushed things too far and I hope the clown continues to do.

I have said repeatedly either as two nations or hopefully as one, the south will be better off without the North. The more nepotism and biased behaviour he indulges the better.

My nightmare is that he suddenly realises his mistake and starts serious efforts to enfranchise Yoruba and Igbo. Then we would have a problem.

But Buhari is too slow for that.. So I can relax grin

Fulanis should be sent back up North if they are natives.

They should be deported if they are immigrants from Niger or Chad.

For those who are sent north, they local state governments not the federal govt should provide land for them, so they can start cattle rearing on a ranch like in other nations.

Lets be clear no oil money or southern states should be paid or made to accommodate the Fulani Herdsmen
