EducationRe: Nigerian Students Generally Study The Wrong Majors At Undergrad Level by NOIBMUUL(m): 8:22am On Apr 17, 2013
AjanleKoko: I think, generally speaking about Nigerians, that young people in college, as well as those trying to get into college, more often choose the wrong disciplines to major in.

Wrong as in what they are not suited for, both mentally and psychologically. They now spend the rest of their youth trying to correct this mistake, and usually end up adding to it.

There is also the 'overload' factor. Take for example someone who studied Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering, and MBA as a follow-up. Usually people do this to 'enhance their job prospects'. I wonder if it really does. I know someone who did that, still did ICAN and some computer certifications into the bargain. I'm not sure what good so many diverse qualifications can do to anyone.

Either peer pressure, zero counselling available, family pressure, or desperation to get into school might be responsible for all of this. I think aptitude (not IQ, but a mix of IQ and EQ) tests should be administered on students who are wrapping up secondary school. Maybe that way the students can be shown some things about themselves which they would never have known, and might help them with their decisions.
Being guardians, I think parents play a key role here. Parent ought to identify the talents of their wards early in life and guide them appropriately. Fortunately, most kids begin to show their talents/gifts as early as 2years!

Unfortunately, parents push their kids to study medicine, engineering, law etc. Most students usually fill their UME form with either of these courses and end up in another place because of the eventual UME scores. At the end of the day, they are often misguided and waste years studying irrelevant courses.

God help us.

IslamRe: Best Times To Get Your Prayers Accepted by NOIBMUUL(m): 8:05pm On Apr 12, 2013
Hi guys I just feel like sharing these treasures today. Before I get into the special secrete (open secrete to some) times for ASA (accelerated supplication acceptance). I will like to state a few things before hand.

According to our dear prophet (SAW) supplication is the sword of the believer , he (SAW) also told us that Allah is as u think of HIM (so make dua always and over everythin, coz Allah unlike us is pleased when u supplicate to Him, and ask with humility and with such conviction that Allah will answer u ), having two of this at the back of ur mind will put u in the best of mood for supplications.

SS 1(secrete sauce 1)

U know there are 3 set of special people that Allah stated that there are no barrier between Him and them when they make dua. In fact the prophet actually told us to fear the dua of one of them, as such duas are guaranteed to be accepted - that person is none other than the wronged soul ( a person oppressed, cheated etc). So when next u are oppressed (eg someone stole something very dear from u) rather than waste ur golden opportunity on cursing ur oppressor (even though Allah will deal with oppressors with or without ur dua, in this life, the next or both) I use mine to ask Allah for some pressing needs (I supplicatie so much during these kind of times that I often wonder how long does this golden window last smiley. )

SS 2

I once read a Hadith that when u pray for ur brother/sister (in Islam) angels ask for the same for you. (And u know between ur dua and that of angels which one has the most assurance of qubul? ). So when next u need a promotion or anything in life, look around for anyone in such need pray for him that Allah grants him that (he needs not know) and let the exalted angels who are closer to Allah than any of us ask Allah on ur behalf for that which ur heart desire.

SS 3

This one I call double barrel. The most loved to all of us (SAW) said that '...and when in sujud (during salat) strive to make dua, for u are most befitting to be answered', he (SAW) also said duas made between adhaan and iqaamah (call to prayer and standing for prayer resp.) are not rejected. So here is the recipe, between adhaan and start of prayer try to squeeze in some nawafil, and in ur sujud ask and ask and ask (until u hear the footstep of the imam entering the mosque) grin

SS 4 to infinity

When u r traveling, it is good time to make dua
When u have a guest/traveller he can make dua for u
Ur parents dua for u are very potent
Supplication when it's raining (for the rain is a form of Allah's mercy descending)

Pls feel free to add more if u have.

Finally note the etiquette of dua.
This was the dua of Yusuf/Joseph AS, after a fulfilled life in office in Egypt

“My Lord! Thou hast given me of the kingdom and taught me of the interpretation of sayings: Originator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my guardian in this world and the hereafter; make me die a muslim and join me with the righteous " Q 12:101

And this was Yunus/Jonah AS in the belly of the whale

“There is no god but Thou: glory to Thee: I was indeed wrong!”

Note in this two instances these two great prophets made dua to Allah for particular needs, but rather than asking directly they glorified Allah and praised Him first and the tabled their requests.

Salaam
Rubbish!!! And I'm entitled to my opinion.

No doubt, they are celebrities and it’s expected that they grace events they are invited to but the three faces attend every Tom, Dick and Harry’s events even when they are not invited. There is no opening of events they haven’t attended, no luncheon has passed them by, in fact, they can even attend the opening of an envelope. We present to you, the top three red carpet celebrities of 2012. If any name is missing, kindly fill in the gap.

1. UTI Nwachukwu: No one takes the party going business as seriously as Uti. Sir, we don’t mind seeing your face around; we just think it’s time to give us a little room to “miss you”.
Seems we are mistaking prettiness for sexiness.

Sexiness not only comes with curves but with flexibility, softness and sumptuous boobies.

So, given the LIMITED options of young, fresh and sexy girls in Nollywood, I, like most Nigerian men will go for Omotola and a couple of other actresses before Dammy.

Dammy is pretty, cute and looks well behaved. She comes across as someone who can make a good girlfriend/wife.
Good gf n wife? If I hear?!

You may wanna dispute it, but no mater how you gonna twist it, Damilola Adegbite may not be the prettiest actress in Nollywood, but she is definitely the sexiest celebrity actress in Nigeria at the moment.
She can compete with any pretty and sexy actress anywhere, including in Bollywood and Hollywood.

She is the new sex symbol of the silver screen in Nigeria, from becoming famous as ‘Thelma Duke’ in Tinsel, Mnet Africa's first ever Nigerian soap-opera that made her a household name with millions of fans following on TV and guys drooling over her from Lagos to Johannesburg and so captivating as the florist Kemi in African Movie Academy Award winner, Michelle Bello's must see romantic comedy Flower Girl. She is Damilola Adegbite, the sexiest actress in Nigeria and she is poised to be the next Queen of Nollywood after the world famous Genevieve Nnaji.

RomanceRe: Why Do Men(nigerian) Like Women Too Much by NOIBMUUL(m): 12:08pm On Mar 29, 2013
Afam4eva: I never noticed this while growing up. I knew men have always been attracted to women but i think it has skyrocketed to the extent that men are just too eager to get down with a woman. No matter the woman as long as she has what looks like a behind and a manchester, they're good to go(of course this does not apply to every man out there). Is there something in the new millenia that has made men to start acting like dogs. I have a friend who can pack a travelling bag and head to Uyo. Not for business but to go and find woman. Let me use myself as an example. I'm a geek and i look like one and as it's often with most geeks, we're really not the social type. I'm still not social but i think i have a problem with seeing ladies. When i was in secondary school, i was a dunce as far as sexual ish was concerned. I didn't know what the whole pursuing hullabaloo was all about. A girl could actually strip in front of my and i wouldn't even feel anything or know what to do. But now the story is different. Hardly will a lady with average feature pass by without my head spinning. I wish i was never introduced to this life cos it's makes me look stup1d. Is there something one can take that will make every womanly thought to disappear from one's thought. This thing can drive one crazy.
Gay in the making!
