I am happy he is free.. If he did it, I hope the 16 years would have rehabilitated him, if he was innocent all along, I hope he has learnt how to pick his jobs wisely!
Go and Sin no more Mr. Ebenezer..[/quote]I agree with you 100%, in fact if I am the manager of a hotel I will walk round the hotel and the rooms daily to check for signs that someone might have been buried overnight! DUH! |

Actually it is eaten by many tribes who live close to a forest because it is found in the trunk of dead palm trees. They are the larvae of the Red Palm Weevil a type of beetle. |

ileobatojo: I have to strongly disagree with the bolded greatgod. This attitude of leaving people for God to judge is a major reason why we will never progress in Nigeria. Why are we just not interested in holding people accountable for their actions? The law suit is not to bring his wife back, it is to hold the people complicit in her death accountable. If we can't demand accountability from the people you deal with on a day to day basis, how can we demand it from our leaders who we will probably never have any physical contact with? That is how we are leaving them to God as the people are being fed to the dogs on a daily basis. Honestly whenever I hear that phrase as a deterrent for demanding accountability it makes my stomach churn. We already have the legal system we need to get judgments against offenders, why should God come down specially to come and judge again? It's the same as praying for healing without availing oneself of the God given opportunity for medical care.
That being said, I don't believe that the man in question has a case against her parents unless they had a power of attorney for the lady that died. Without a power of attorney, they are not the ones that should be making her medical decisions. If they were making the medical decisions directly, then his case should be against the doctor/hospital for taking orders from the family without legal documentation to support that. The more likely scenario is that the woman decided herself not to get a blood transfusion based on her own religious convictions upon which she was raised. The onus has to fall on the woman herself for making such a decision concerning her own health. Whether she got spiritual guidance from her family members or not, she still called the shots at the end of the day. I actually will put some blame on him for not chasing her family out of the hospital with a damn cutlass when they were helping to put the life of his wife in jeopardy with their spiritual counsel. Or was the guy estranged from his wife and is just now flexing?
I certainly don't know all the specifics but these are my immediate thoughts. Brilliant! |

Pastor Kun: The fact that this kind of thread is raised and it is generating so much venom towards churches betrays the fact the church is not being seen to fulfil it's role as a charitable organisation(the bases of which it is tax exempt in the first instance) rather people see preachers profiting from the church and living in extreme opulence. If most churches were seen to be engaging in charitable activities and impacting positively on the welfare of the less priviledge as they ought to be doing, this issue of church paying taxes would not even arise. Betrays or portrays? |

Are Nigerians not among those marrying HIV patients in South-Africa?
why?
so that they(Nija boys) can get paali to stay and work; and so that they(HIV patients) who are sick to work can have some financial returns to live on - on a monthly basis.
Who vexed? sey na God? No sir. And so why you?
even the south African government knows those marriages are on the paali levelz only. But what can they do? nothing.
Love is blind, and if two people say they love each other; and since love is from God, whether the love is true or false, we are all blind to know the truth, theres no more yawa.
Even our very own governor Yerima married a child in a National mosque, the entire media made noise about it and still nothing happened afterwards. Unfortunately marrying a child is a lesser crime in Nigeria compared to marrying an old white lady! What a sick country. |

mukina2: Police parade fake pastor in Nsukka
Police in Enugu State, on Thursday in Nsukka, paraded one Chinedu Nnaya, the alleged founder of a fake deliverance ministry.
Nnaya was alleged to have established the “True Vine Ministry” which he used to extort money from people in order to conduct family deliverance for them.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Enugu State, Mr Ebere Amarizu, said luck ran against the fake pastor when his last victim, Mr Prince Divine, a contractor within Nsukka, alerted the police after a sum of N60,000 was allegedly extorted from him
He said, “The fake pastor used tortoise, chains, padlock and a bag of salt to deceive people into believing that he was conducting deliverance.
“The last victim alerted the police, our men were put on surveillance, when the last victim on arrangement with the police invited him to another family for deliverance. It was there he was arrested on Wednesday.”
Amarizu said, “It was in the process of the deliverance that we discovered that the tortoise and padlock, he claimed were buried in the compound by enemies, were actually planted by him.
“They were planted when he sent all of us out from the room at a point during his fake prayers.
“He was paid N60,000 for the job and his flight ticket, as he claimed to have come from Abuja.
“It was later discovered that he is living in Nsukka. He even told us he is working with the Adoration Ministry, Enugu. But we also discovered that he is a liar”, the police spokesperson disclosed. NAN
