Ogbuefi2020: if you are referring to my post, Enugu is ahead of Owerri in virtually everthing, but when it comes to environmental aesthetics, Enugu red soil puts enugu in great disadvantage and owerri is ahead in that regard. Btw, i am from enugu state your post is absolutely ridiculous. How does red soil makes a city less beautiful. If you said dusty environment fine, but going as low as using the natural colour of soil as evidence of a city's aesthetics easily gives the impression that the place has nothing to offer |
Politics › Re: Owerri: The Most Modern City In Southeast_pix by Noneroone(m): 9:50am On Jan 25, 2017 |
Smh...i read the thread and notice people comparing owerri with enugu. Thats a height of delusion.
Is it in terms of size, infrastructure, road network, security, transportion and cost of living? Enugu is miles ahead. And since when did the colour of the soil begin to determine a beter city? |

Funnicator: So annuling and getting away with it only goes for military governments
Issokay the question is partly on who annulled but the major question is at what stage was it annulled. A dictator could annul election an election at an early stage an still mange to hold on amids pressure but not after a winner had legitimately emmerged from such election. Abiola was not declared winner that is why he is refered to as the 'acclaimed' winner. If Nwosu managed to declare him winner, IBB couldnt have done anything. At most UK through UN resolution would oust shonekan if ECOWAS was reluctant to do so. |
Politics › Re: Why ECOWAS Silence After IBB Truncated Abiola Presidency? by Noneroone(m): 9:41am On Jan 23, 2017 |
Funnicator: SMH. I guess since buhari was initially leading Jonathan in the election announcement and orubebe successfully disrupted jega from eventually announcing buhari winner, if it happened that way buhari would therefore not be winner and goodluck could fix another election. Right? dont be ridiculous. Jonathan's era was democratic and he wouldn't annul it himself only jega could. If jega had annuled the election during the orubebe saga, and jonathan handed over to an interim govt like IBB, nothing could have been done about it. If you are not pronounced winner in an election even when preliminary results point towards your victory, nothing for you. |
Politics › Re: Why ECOWAS Silence After IBB Truncated Abiola Presidency? by Noneroone(m): 7:06am On Jan 23, 2017 |
Funnicator: Can people with international relations knowledge educate me here ?
For the past few days the media have been awash with the second after second events in the Gambia, about the political upheaval ongoing in the west African country after President Jammeh refused to step down following his loss at presidential polls.
Way back in 90's, IBB's candidate lost presidential elections to Abiola and subsequently, IBB had the young man jailed and denied him his legitimate position as POFRN. ECOWAS did shiiit. Not even a single tank assemble near our borders. Why the unequal treatment?
Is ECOWAS and AU biased? abiola was not declared winner in the election. So technically there was no winner. If he had been declared winner IBb would have no legitimacy to hold on. Also quattara was declared winner hence gbagbo was ousted. |

Alexxgold: illiteracy is truly a disease..
check the meaning of referendum and cases where it can be applied. it has nothing to do with renaming streets, cities or countries lol...you must be a cretinous creature. Where in my post do you "streets"? I specifically mentioned cities. St petersburg of russia like igweocha was once named leningrad in honour of lenin (like lewis harcourt for port harcourt) but was reverted to its name through a referendum. Another russian city will soon try to undergo name change through referendum. Do you know berlin also attempted name change in 1916 through referendum? Reverting to original name of ph is easy but it'll just be for formality sake cos everyone know its true name and true owners. You prolly think referendum is one of the protocols of secession only. To think of the fact that you called me illiterate...lol fool |

Alexxgold: I'm smarter than you 1 million times, you know why? I understand how difficult it is to rename a street, all the court cases, bloodshed etc.. talk more a whole city that has many local and multinational companies already known with PH address.
you guys hardly think deep tho. it's all about chestbeating so I'm not surprised smh...which court case? a referendum by the indigeneous people is enough to decide the name of a city overnight. |

MyPWisINCORRECT: How can a tribe and her people be this troublesome?
You left Abakaliki, left Enugu, left Awka, left Owerri and left Umuahia to Port Harcourt to protest.
I pray the military should deal ruthlessly with whomsoever chooses to be a scape goat.
What makes the Igbos think that in the eventual breakup of Nigeria, Port Harcourt and her people will join the Igbos rather than champion her own Niger Delta Republic?
A good student of history should know that the Niger Deltans will always seek their emancipation just like Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro declared the Niger Delta Republic shortly after Dim Ojukwu declared Biafra Republic in '67.
Today is even more unique as there are many warlords scattered around the SS who will want to champion this cause...when jungle mature. see who is talking of history. What do you know about Niger Delta? Was Igweocha originally part of the proposed rivers state? Was Igweocha part of adaka boro's niger delta republic? Mr man make your research before you talk of history. |

Almost every soup out there is nutritional. Picking these few foods/soups is not enough. one can easily notice your inferiority from your post. Igbos have been eating ofe akwu centuries before banga ever became a cocortion. Most good soups you see including egusi are all originally Igbo soup. banga ko fireworks ni |
