Delgado47:We hear u, Master Yoda. If only it were that easy to move on. Maybe u could try some Jedi mind trick on NLNG and get them to call on us. |
ItsTime4me:That moment u want change from NLNG so badly but it's not forthcoming so u resolve to go full Caitlyn Jenner on nairaland and give urself some measure of change ![]() |
dway4ward:Hehehehe. That 'Anty Iyabo' reference just made me hysterical. I dont think NLNG is averse to criticism. I like to think they welcome it. Unless they are hoping to groom a bunch of yes-men who will keep bobbing their heads like redneck lizards even when the status quo is awry and against their better judgement. The main reason I love this thread is because it comprises different, and often highly opinionated, people whose opinions cut across a wide spectrum. If we all do get in, and I am hoping we all do, NLNG stands to accrue a lot of benefits from that singular characteristic alone. I dont think they will like it if we all turn out to be a bunch of synchronously bleating sheep who lack the grit to demand answers let alone effect an improvement of the system. |
kecy19:Now that's some Mafioso style threat right there. This easily translates to something like "I am not saying that's what we do but, hypothetically because the FBI might be listening in, if u keep talking about our family like that u may end up getting fed to the fishes" **in Vito Corleone's voice** Whoever u are bro, I doubt the NLNG management will appreciate u coming here to deliver threats in their name. There are a thousand and one ways u could have phrased your comment better without making NLNG out to be vindictive group averse to criticism. Cheers. |
Djbaka:God dey, my brother. |
dway4ward:You can tell someone that has passion for this job; they exude it easily. This guy is a paragon of that passion. It's just a comic irony that NLNG has forced him to express that passion by criticising them on nairaland instead of using it in the company where it is better suited. NLNG, just look at what you've done. ![]() |
dchem:Watching u guys vent is enough therapy. I am also curious about the numbers left in the process as well. The paucity of information since the AC is curious. We haven't been able to certain, with precision, the number of people left in race or the number of us to be eventually recruited. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is deliberately dissemination false speculations about the numbers and dates, knowing fully well that our various sources will pass the info down to us, so as to further keep this recruitment shrouded in mystery. If we are still unable to get information about such a trivial thing as the number of us left in the race, then rest assured that more important information, like the number of us to be eventually taken and the date of resumption, being bandied here are not to be trusted. |
Venting may not change the long wait. But it sure as hell is therapeutic. I fully endorse it. So vent as much as you can and let's all get back to waiting or moving on with our lives. |
airsaylongcon:Hehehe. I just dey look u since. ![]() |
forkadict:I hope by "chics" u mean baby chickens. No tell me say u don begin run those Bonny babes within this short period wey u take enter so. Who am I even kidding? See d name wey u even give urself. Baba oo. Chop d life small small o. ![]() |
hungryboy:This is a very dangerous and senseless thing to say. U are already slut-shaming the woman but the story never clarified if anything sort of daliance happened with her. Now u are encouraging violence against women just based simply on suspicion. No matter what the woman did, no one should be deprived of their right to life because of adultery. If u aren't happy with ur wife, get a divorce. Killing on a whim is what only primitive cavemen do. |
Superstitions. I am sure there are countless Isan women who have done any number of these things but didn't face the repercussions. There is no way I will believe that all Isan women are faithful or that all the unfaithful ones suffered the repercussions. No freaking way!!! |
johnmartus:The stupidity in this post is alarming. It is this type of caveman thinking that has held this country back for so many years. Someone is proposing to help save the economy; someone whose antecedents has been helping Nigeria out of dire straits like this. Even his bold claim seem to have begun to affect the value of the naira in the parallel market and whether or not that is what is actually happening is moot. You haven't even asked the authorities to listen to his proposal and see how practical it is. The best u can come up with is this drivel that can only be likened to what a monkey would pen down. U need serious reorientation. |
Finally. The calm after the storm. |
Aphrodite4:Dear, I don't think any of those guys deliberately set out to misinform anyone here. All they did I presume they did out of the goodness of their hearts. I think anyone who is angry about how the prophesy panned out should be angry at himself for having believed in the date so much. To the perspicacious, almost all projections about dates on this thread have turned out to be wrong so we were supposed to take the new ones with a bit of doubt. Guys let's all calm down and take deep breaths. Forkadict baba chill abeg. Make una no vex again. |
Yawa don gas. Men don begin vex again. |

ItsTime4me:Allow people to hope bro. It is actually how some are able cope with the long wait and uncertainty without tearing their hair out. I hope u remember how angry people were before the last time they contacted us. Some people were already forming a lynch mob and haranguing the rest of us. All that was left was pitchforks and torches to set this thread on fire. That last message from NLNG returned them to their default settings. Trust me, u dont want to deprive them of their little hope and set them off again. It was a very funny episode for me though. NanaF:It might as well be. Even someone like me, who prides myself in my levelheadedness and indefatigable patience, is beginning to reach my limits. And I am beginning to feel someone somewhere is watching all these and grinning and probably taking notes too. |
epic5: ![]() There is nothing we will do if his prophesy is wrong. Most people will only ask him why it failed and hope whatever explanation and new date he gives us will be right the next time. And if he is right, some people will gladly pucker their lips and kiss his hand (read 'hand' as another part of the human anatomy most apt for kissing in this context) while praying him to divine their next fate in relation to this recruitment. |
dalaman:Or better still, God would have hardwired it into our brains before we are birthed into this earth. So that knowing His word would be instinctive, as much as feeding is, instead of the myriad doctrines we are being force-fed by different churches and pastors who coincidentally all claim to have the same Holy Spirit working in them. |
chowlade:Stop that nonsense. Allow other people educate us with their logical arguments. Leave IPOBs out of this. Don't make this about them before this thread turns to another tribal war. Thanks. |
aku626:Stop making sweeping statements. One case was discovered in 2013. edition.cnn.com/2016/02/02/health/zika-virus-sexual-contact-texas/index.html?sr=fbCNN020216zika-virus-sexual-contact-texas0858PMStoryLink&linkId=20910257 Educate urself |
Is it possible the spouse or partner actually carried one of the mosquitoes with his/her luggage and on getting home, lets it out and it stings the other partner thereby infecting him/her with the Zika virus? I mean one lone case is hardly proof that the virus is sexually transmitted. And it is possible some alarmists are trying to make sure that world powers take the virus very seriously. Even the article ends by saying: The case is "significant" if it was definitely transmitted through sexual contact, Alaka Basu, a senior fellow for public health at the UN Foundation, told the BBC. |
dhsfbi:U are not entirely right. Cruz will be getting 8 delegates from Iowa. Trump will be getting 7. Rubio will be getting 7 as well. So the difference of 1 delegate is nothing when u still have lots of primaries before the Republican national convention when the delegates vote. Don't dismiss Trump just yet. Sanders and Clinton got almost the same number of votes the the Democratic caucuses. So the race is still too close to call. I don't think either Cruz or Clinton is rejoicing right now. |
scarletdp:Been cool. Thank God. Just waiting for NLNG to finish this thing. |
Scarletdp how far?? I think say Buhari don make u one special adviser for something something as u no gree show face here again. ![]() |
whatsupguys:I don't think anyone actually got a success mail. The contour of the "success" mail permits several interpretations and it is very telling that the word "success" or any of its derivatives is conspicuously absent in the whole email. It is an ingenious way to keep people in a limbo without raising their hopes about their prospects. As a matter of fact, people who didn't get a regret mail don't seem any closer to getting the job than they were on the day of the AC. Anyway best of luck in all ur endeavours bro. I am sure there is something better in store for u. |
