Fuel consumption isn't calculated that way either buy full tank and reset trip meter A to zero then drive and when the indicator reaches half use the number of km traveled against the number of liters expected in half tank

I found a Citreon c3 2004 model. The seller says everything is in good condition except the gear. He says changing into the gear 2 is a little difficult but that it is fixable. I asked how much and he said 10k. He says he knows a good mechanic who can get it done.
I looked online and found out that citreon c3 is known for gear problems.
So guys, do you think this gear can be fixed successfully?. Or should I just ditch it and keep looking?.
Anyone who knows this car model should please tell me their experience.

Citreon c3 is a Peugeot 206 in disguise both share some power train similarity and a lot of component since both have same chassis. If the c3 in question is automatic and dearth cheap and the body is spank and squeaky if I am In your shoes I would buy Las Las nah to convert to manual transmission.

My vehicle is converted to Toyota Sienna 1999 engine from Ford freestyle 2005.

Problems:
*It was unable to climb hills and runs very heavy. *Guzzles fuel.
*Jerks when accelerating

NOW:
1. I have fixed gear issue.
2. Done servicing as directed by the mechanics.
(Changed plugs, Nozzles, injector, mad, changed plugs coils).
3. I cleaned and welded exhaust/silencer.

OBSERVATIONS
*The vehicle works well as soon as mechanics is done fixing it, but next same very issues reoccur.
*Fuel smells inside the car at startup.
*The computer readings are incorrect e.g fuel data error (there is plenty of fuel), oil level 0% (atf and engine oil intact), no coolant (coolant intact).
*Hard starting atimes.

I was told to service brainbox. Now I ask, is that the true solution? Please someone help.

If you can't afford the freestyle engine sell the car as it is. Don't put another vehicle engine in the wrong car. Also be weary so the vehicle doesn't catch fire on motion.

Your issue needs physical diagnosis, if the technician is tired and doesn't know what to do, collect the vehicle and find a more knowledgeable technician.

Probably he wants to touch the throttle body and its associated sensors.

NOT really the pump may be faulty the first time. Let a rewire do all the necessary test and check fuses and relay to pin point the fault

First thing to do is to scan the vehicle for error codes if no code is associated with ignition then your mechanic starts diagnosis the old fashioned way.

Check all fuses that has to do with ignition and security

Then he has to check things related to spark, air and fuel etc. To ascertain the odd one out.

If your mind is set on it and the price is right why not. But ensure the inspection is carried out by a qualified technician and the battery packs must be scrutinize well because of the easy depletion of the NiMH cells due to some inbalance in the architecture but a software update was used to counter that. Happened to just around 32% units in the US.

But above all the second generation civic hybrid was the second best hybrid car in US

MBZATF 236.14 transmission fluid I believe the C350 uses a 7speed instead of 5 speed. But post your query in the Benz thread so close alternative can be given

Both are OK the ICE or Hybrid civic are good. Though the 01 to 05 civic hybrid is more rampant in Nigeria and it is also the one most converted to ICE when water pass Garri.

The cons of hybrid are
1. Lack of qualified technicians to do the right things when trouble start

2. The battery packs are expensive to replace when depleted

3. Converting it from hybrid to ICE isn't straight forward something kazeem would always preach when they see they can't fix the issue

4. Hybrid needs diagnosis with right equipment when faulty so you must have a medium personal scanner

5. Hybrid doesn't do well in flooded areas.

Hybrid is a good thing to own if you follow regular maintenance and you are good with your hands you can even fix some minor issues.

The matrix is a reliable vehicle though the 09 upwards isn't as fuel efficient as the corolla. But has better fuel efficiency than the 2.5L camry.

Reliable and parts available since the parts is identical to corolla.

The choice between the two is basically yours both vehicles are reliable what is left is whether you want a Sedan or an hatch back.
