Sludge is not good for the engine but when an engine already has sludge due to the use of wrong oil weight, it is better to stick with the wrong oil which doesn't have bleach than to switch to synthetic with bleach.

Diesel engines are more fuel efficient than petrol engines even with the high cost of diesel.

Diesel is way less volatile than petrol so diesel engines are cooler and the diesel act as a lubricant in the engine hence diesel engine can outlast their counter parts easily.

Diesel engines produce less horse power but have greater torque for pulling heavy objects reason trailers, bulldozer, payloaders, cargo ships utilize only diesel engines.

A corolla with 1.6L petrol may achieve 600km from full to empty same corolla with 1.6L diesel engine would do 900km to empty.

If you can drive manual car and ride a bike, then just find a large parking lot and ride alone, in a couple of minutes you will get the hang of it.

If you had explained this to the person that gave reason for not buying the car because of high cost of diesel, it would have been more reasonable. My interest is to sale my car and I have not given any false information.. Turbo is also an added advantage even when diesel is more economical.

What has turbo got to do with fuel consumption? Turbo is used to increase the power output of an engine in which the original capacity won't be able to dish out.

Turbo has nothing to do with fuel consumption but rather power of an engine be it diesel, petrol and CNG/LPG.

Probably yes because in Asian markets some models run to that length like china and Malaysia but not for North America which is where we majorly import used cars from

Your assumption on the turbo charger is false. Diesel is less volatile than petrol reason why it is economical than petrol even though it is almost twice the price.

A 1.6L corolla would do 8L/100km combined

A 3.0L V6 audi A6 with diesel engine would do 8L/100km combined also.

I have done done 50km on a BMW e30 diesel engine with 3L before when men were boys back in the days

Toyota Corolla 2010
Hyundai Elantra 2011.

Toyota camry has 2.4L and V6, it is the least fuel efficient vehicle but bigger and more executive than the remaining competition. The 2az engine is prone to oil burn and the 13 pin gear is expensive.

Corolla 2010 is tested and trusted but try and ensure it isn't the south African model, you will enjoy other continent offerings especially the Asian market corolla altis

Elantra is a good vehicle too the 2.0 engine is the most solid as long as you buy US import, the bought brand new in Nigeria with 1.6L engine I would advice you stay clear, the engine were built not to be repaired. Any overheating is bye bye. The parts too are pricey but they aren't clone like Toyota own

Depends on the level of sludge in the engine from zero sludge (safe to switch) to

Medium sludge (removal by a mechanic) to

Chronic sludge (dismantle engine remove sludge)

The valve cover has to be removed to know What level of sludge available

Depends on whether engine has sludge or not, synthetic blends have bleach that wash sludge down to the engine bottom blocking seals, valves and oil lubricant passage which can lead to engine failure.

Better to stick with the normal mineral oil and change every 3months or 3000 km
