winner915:in 2009/2010 one of my aunt bought a Chevrolet Alero, light green colour from Cotonou I have forgotten the amount very beautiful looking vehicle. Within a month, the engine don kpuff due to inability of the user (her child) to understand the working Dynamics as I am talking to you now they have not found the engine and the car is just a luxurious fashion show, it is just park there waiting for replacement Engine. You did ask can't mechanic rebuild it, well I am sure he could but where will he get gasket even if he can work other engine parts. This particular Pontiac shares part with vehicles I have never seen on road or vehicles I have seen wasting away In kazeem shop, best advice is if you are in Nigeria just admire the car and walk away |
Rex123:could be a software problem or still APN. what network are you using? |

weyreypey:As your Lord Pleases. |
Rex123:check your APN in connection settings |

seunoj:Whether Gazzuzz acknowledge the Volvo brand or not, it doesn't take away the fact that Volvo is a good brand. I have never said volvo is bad or not worth buying, in practical usage you don't buy certain cars for use. Every vehicle type would use fuel Every vehicle type would need part replacement Every vehicle would need a knowledgeable Technician to work on it These are parameters you apply to a region to determine if a vehicle is worth buying or not. |
princecemo:does it have camera? |
valarinz:Nobody has ever gone to your car advert thread and claim prospective buyers to rather purchase another brand instead of Volvo, yes cosplay may have busted you for wrong misinterpretation of cars you have for sale but he has not told anybody to rather buy another brand than what you have for sale. I am not going to make you happy by recommending Volvo if it's not on par with the competitor in question you can take that my statement to the bank, but I will never rubbish Volvo either, because I respect them DEARLY. |
weyreypey:Stop Hearsay, backup your claim with facts and evidence |
valarinz:Provide Evidence to back up your claim |
mammanbawa:You Sha want to fight Sha, ok here is a piece of history The G wagon was ever produced in 1979 first ever production year and it is still available till date. The landcruiser first ever production was the J20/J30 in 1955 to 1960 Then came the J40 which I have seen countless times on third mainland bridge down to sura it is only used as a towing vehicle currently. it ran from 1960 to 1984 The J70 land cruiser ran from 1984 till date along side the regular land cruiser. The J70 is purely a tough vehicle nothing luxurious about it and quote me anywhere the G-wagon is no mate to it even if both were equipped with snorkel. The landcruiser is still older than the Gwagon if we start from the J40 because I have never sight the J20 or 30 before. so 1960 - 1979 = 19years, took Benz 19years to copy Toyota successfully to manufacture the G-wagon. Now let's take another scenario when you talk of rugged, reliability and dependability. The desert area is a very treacherous road to conquer that's why terrorist, bandits and mauraders don't use any other vehicle than the Toyota Hilux and the Land cruiser J70 for carrying weapons, you will never sight a G wagon because it's unreliable and not dependable. counter my claim with facts thank you Also read about the TOYOTA WAR I have never heard of the Benz war ![]()

mammanbawa:The GLS competes with the GX Lexus Gwagon would be LX Lexus. This thread is about outlast so this thread won't cut it, besides we Don battle so many times concerning this don't you think we should sheath our swords and let old wounds heal ![]() |
weyreypey:You asked about HP and Torque on everyday vehicles with traffic prone roads, bad portions everywhere and insane drivers to contend with. HP and Torque is the list important determinant in vehicle purchase. Reliability TOYOTA is still tops followed by it's Japanese relative. Comfortability the last time I check all Japanese cars have seats, came with factory AC, sound systems and are available in leather seat. Those are the basic comfortable requirements. Suspension durability saloon/sedan suspension parts last more than SUVs safety seatbelts, airbags all available though the Dana spec Kia and Hyundai in some models have these missing but those are Korean not Japanese ![]() The others are just gibberish. So When next you don't appreciate my comparison or you deem it biased, you can always give yours nobody would rebuke you for that we are all here to learn |
dicksonadams:Civic is 3 years younger than vibe Civic has less mileage than the vibe. The Civic interior has leather, digital speedometer and not as ordinary as the vibe. Vibe has an AWD variant for better traction. vibe has cargo carrying capacity and ground clearance than the Civic. fuel economy for both is close. |
valarinz:You could have given him your own comparison since mine isn't good enough nobody will fault you for that. Also a kazeem that assist others is useful than a professor that watches on the side line |
weyreypey:What exactly do you want? your hatred for Japanese marque is worst than the sting of a death stalker. just tell us what you want to hear make we call malu broda |
mammanbawa:CLA IS a subcompact EXECUTIVE car Corolla is a compact car. The most appropriate comparison would be Lexus IS, CT, HS. we all know Toyota luxury division is Lexus so when comparing recent vehicles of Toyota with luxury vehicles always pick lexus. just like I won't pitch a S600 with a Rolls-Royce I would rather pick the S65 AMG OR the Mercedes Maybach |
GCFR696:Let's take car A for example with an optimum working temp by the manufacturer pegged at 96 degrees centrigrade. So what the manufacturer does is afix that into the ECU of vehicle A in question. The air and petrol mixture is better at the optimum temperature of the engine in question meaning any temperature less, the ECU will dump more petrol in the mixture to balance up. The engine needs more fuel for combustion when it is cold (evident when you just started a car parked over night where the tachometer rises at 1.5 to 2000 then as engine begins to warm it drops down till it sits at 650 to 800 depending on vehicle as it reaches optimum working temperature). |
cadno:That is not Honda recommended ATF, THE TYPE H PLUS was made by idemitsu as an alternative to Honda z1 not DW, if it's truly idemitsu type H then idemitsu is a good company from online reviews. happy sales |

dicksonadams:O2 spacers per unit shouldn't exceed 10k nah and you need only 1 depending on the faulty catalyst. Also read excerpts from online on cause of the code and check those things before you dump the issue wrongly on the catalyst converter Oxygen Sensor – The P0420 codes is thrown when the oxygen sensors on both sides of the exhaust have very similar readings. When the oxygen sensor is bad, it can cause a false reading and trigger the code. If the engine does not exhibit any of the decreased performance associated with a bad catalytic converter, it very well may be the oxygen sensor (if you haven’t noticed the performance loss yet). Catalytic Converter – A catalytic converter is responsible for scrubbing out as much pollution as possible from the Vibe’s exhaust. Over time, they can become clogged. Although, modern catalytic converters are supposed to last the life of most vehicles, it could be there is some underlying problem if it has clogged. O2 Sensor Wiring – Over time, the oxygen sensor wiring can go bad. It is especially volatile since it is right next to the hot exhaust at all times. The downstream oxygen sensor wiring is especially volatile since it is so far from the ECM (more distance to travel. Vibe Timing – If your Vibe is misfiring or the exhaust timing is off, this can affect the gasses that are actually going to the O2 sensors enough to cause the P0420 code to register. Exhaust Leak – If there’s a noticeable exhaust leak coming from the vehicle it can change what the O2 sensors register enough to throw the P0420 code. Engine Temp Sensor – If the computer doesn’t know what the engine temp is it’ll keep the fuel mixture rich. When the fuel mixture is rich, the exhaust the O2 sensors see will be out of |
dicksonadams:The vibe FWD or AWD has 2 catalyst, pre cat just by the engine manifold in the engine bay, and the main catalyst under, there is an O2 sensor after the main catalyst. Whatever route you decide to go depends on whether you will fix O2 spacer or not. The vibe catalyst have been known to disintegrate at 2xx,xxxkm |
I would have bought this car, but it may give my neighbor the opportunity he has been looking for to blow whistle |
Bosun13:That is not how to calculate fuel economy, the sienna fuel level sensor is gravity dependent and doesn't tell true value of things. if you park with the back slant than the front the sensor would tip upwards like their is more fuel. Fuel economy is affected by other factors like driving habit Tyre PSI load you are hauling condition of other car components like air filter, throttle body, spark plug condition and leakage in the vehicle exhaust system (leakage is different from presence of catalyst) Now we can also add engine condition and mileage the vehicle has done. mileage is about wear and year after long use just like humans when young you can have sex 5 rounds but as you age you can only do it once while engine condition is engine oil used, sludge in engine, running fan direct etc.My question to you is 1. Is there the check engine light on your dash board? 2. What oil do you use to service and your change interval 3. Is your fan ran direct? 4. why don't you buy full tank and do the L/100km test which is easier. NOTE: The fuel gauge of the sienna after the full is a small section (A) big section (B1) half tank then big section again (B2) then small section (C). I tested this experiment for a year with the stock tyres when I first bought my sienna, from full tank to the end of A the vehicle will give you 200km, from end of A to B1 is 150km, meaning from full tank to half tank is 350km from half tank to reserve light coming ON is 220km. Reserve is around 10 to 15L depending on debris in the fuel tank. |
Congratulations, when are we cuming to charge our phone with the hybrid car, at least if Power holding company of Nigeria 4kup, 2AZ-FXE must no disappoint ![]() |
dicksonadams:There is an O2 sensor before the catalyst and another after the catalyst. It all depends on what vehicle you talking about in particular. After catalyst removal you need the O2 spacer fixed in the straight pipe before you afix the O2 sensor on the spacer to fool the ECU and not throw the catalyst code. As long as the catalyst code isn't detected after the bypass by the ECU fuel economy should be fine. |
winner915:Highlander is ok for a not too good road, there are 2 categories I always share CUV to, those needed only for ground clearance (Rav 4, CRV, Sportage etc) and those needed for a bit off-road experience (Highlander, Hyundai santa Fe, Kia sorento etc) the 1st sets are mostly 2 seats, they are mini in size and have a great fuel economy, they most come in 2WD but have 4WD variant too. While the second sets are bigger and have 3rd row seats capability they are not as fuel efficient as the mini vehicles and they also have 4WD variant in addition to 2WD. |
weyreypey:Anybody wey kidnap me don enter one chance, don no dey kidnap fatherless pikin Awon iya mi Eleye ton fo Ni oru no dey sleep with 2 eyes closed |
Litzy:my number is in my signature. Now I have studied the map I intend to study. moving from interior of Lagos is not an option at all, it's a risky one chance journey and I don't intend to drive to that place either. Now I noticed Epe and ikorodu is the best place to move from if you intend to make the journey in 3 to 4hours or less. The route I know most is ikorodu corridor. from ikorodu to sagamu is around 1hr 30mins if you intend to take shortcut which I know very well but I don't intend to try it now due to the fact that it's been years I passed there and I know it's bush left and right better to not take risk. Epe is closer you will probably land at ijebu Ode from Epe while ikorodu would be sagamu.
