I see! But the i10 look like a box , don't fancy it. Are u saying all the accent's can probably develop the problem you mentioned?
All accent 2005 to 2010 came with EPS steering nah Rio get the rack and pinion own. Both vehicles are same thing sha. Part, engine, transmission. The US spec accent have a standard temp guage which notifies one early if vehicle is about to overheat.

The car is good, reliable and fuel efficient. They don't breakdown easily and bad roads doesn't affect their suspension setup, I have used both the Rio and Accent b4. That accent fine sha especially when still clean than the Rio and they age quite well

Faulty EPS will just make the steering hard at low speeds or at stand still. With EPS no need of steering fluid I used mine with faulty EPS and it was a highway vehicle for me. I always used 15L for 220km

Car TalkRe: PLS, Which Among The Hyunda's Is The Best? by nurey(m): 5:06pm On Jul 08, 2023
I10 more fuel efficient than accent which has better fuel use than elantra.

Accent is very fuel efficient but those bought in naija don't have the regular temp guage a turnoff which causes engine damage at overheating, it has EPS steering which damages in water and expensive to replace. The engine too isn't cheap around 6xxk upwards. I would prefer u buy a kia Rio esp US spec not those bought brandnew in Nigeria.

Elantra is okay but the body is fragile, rust sets in especially in flooded area, doesn't age well. Apart from those, they are reliable and affordable.

Cost effective as per say e no dey chop fuel?

Are those vehicles also cost effective in cost of replacement parts?

Abi the money used in buying parts is different from the one used to buy fuel?

Vehicle cost effectiveness is cumulative of many factors, not only fuel economy... I no sabi wetin give una the notion say as long as motor dey use 5 litre fuel for 100km, e dey cost effective...
You always like to prove over sabi, but I won't gratify your attention seeking

What you said catalyst or spacer? What do you mean by spacer?
Google O2 sensor spacer, you will learn something new when you do. It's a long read but worth it
Car TalkRe: Which Of This List Cause High Fuel Consumption The More? by nurey(m): 6:23pm On Jul 06, 2023
1. There is no cheap fix for cars anymore. All the issues are related to fuel consumption, fixing all will give you cost savings.
one you have to buy new catalyst 200k or Spacer 25k to solve that.

two your spark plug may be bad 3500 for a single one, if the plug doesnt work then change the coil which is around 5k for tokunbo

three your charcoal cannister otilo

four O2 sensor tokunbo is 15k for your veghicle.

2. Cut your coat according to your size, sell your 2.4L engine and buy cars that can give you 6L/100km (1.1L-1.4L) thank God their are many cost effective and reliable brand out there.

I am in Abuja and the accord I have seen is from 4.7m above...

Don't just like all these Toyota carton, reason I am not really looking at Camry.... Have used several of them, especially the 2013 Camry, the moment you get to 120km the car becomes very light
Yeah I just checked only the 08 and 09 accord is 4m plus the 10 to 12 are very expensive upto 5m sef for tokunbo.

Just settle for the camry 10 or 11, it's still good too.

Twonaira1:
huh
Sir Nurey
Avalon is a full size luxury sedan, bigger and more roomy than the remaining two. Only engine and transmission is what I believe the Avalon has in common with the 2.

Camry is same thing as ES from 90s to 2011. Same engine, transmission and many parts are interchangeable to a large degree.

Please house help choose a better executive amongst the following with budget of ₦4.5m

Accord 2011/2012
Camry 2010-2012
BMW 325 2008-2010

And maybe any option better than he list above... But it must be rugged
Accord EX or EX-L with the 2.4L 4cylinder engine then the 2010 or 2011 camry with the 2.5L 4cylinder engine SE,LE or XLE is okay.

BMW is dicey I would say avoid it if you can

Please guys just changed my es 350 transmission fluid with Oando transmission and noticed it now jerks a little when changing gears. What can I do now pls
You pour Oando fluid in U660E gear nawa ooo. If it isn't upto one month you have hope but if more, my brother prepare to buy replacement transmission.

Change the fluid to Toyota WS, its possible you need to do drain and refill twice to remove the contaminated oil. If after that their is jerking or slipping, scan transmission first before attempting any other thing

My condolences to the op. Many of us has had police brutality in so many forms, I have had 2 bad experiences of police brutality one in which I was unjustly arrested and I was driven from 6:30am till around 10am with my people looking for me for 3hrs because they knew the kind of person I am.

I would have loved action to be taken on that police station try and escalate the issue on twitter you could probably get a redress also tag FIJ they are very good @ investigating such cases but your issue is actually accepting you assaulted the officer that can work against you.

Guys, I'm already getting tired of suspension issues with my Elantra 2014. Although I live in a bad terrain in Ogun state but the issues are still too much. The lastest is after replacing all 4 shock absorbers and faulty hub bearing the vehicle seems to bounce and creak when climbing portholes or rough roads.

Is there any reliable Hyundai mechanic around Ikeja axis or Berger?
Suspension work is not moi moi, it is an expensive and time consuming fix, anytime you want to change shocks, you should always ensure to utilize brandnew not tokunbo the you also change
1. All bushings in the suspension for both sides, lower arm, camber etc

2. Change all linkages to brandnew

3. Check the springs

4. Check the sway bars

5. Rubber of the shafts and unsure to check the bearings and grease the shaft if still good.

6. Go for alignment

Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by nurey(m):
enigmatique:
I own a Honda EOD and changed its gearbox some time in February. Some time in May, I made the mistake of trying to travel with it without checking its gear oil level. The car gave me issues during the trip, but after I added about 2 liters of transmission oil, it started working properly I had to turn back to Lagos that night due to traffic though. When I returned to Lagos I went to service the car and used Holts Transmission oil to replace the old one (which had developed a smell during that failed trip).

Now recently I have noticed that the gear doesn't always click into reverse on my first try. Some times it clicks in one try but a lot of times I'll have to take it to another gear and bring it back to R before it clicks. What's the problem? Is it a gear switch somewhere or something else?
Prepare to buy another transmission again and this time around ensure you only use Honda DW1 fluid, expensive but cheaper than buying new transmission regularly.

Also EOD 2003 and 2004 have very sensitive gear ensure to change fluid atleast once in 2years if you can afford it.
