Please disregard the CVT, that model year was manual or automatic transmission no CVT equipped one.

CVT transmission is same look as automatic transmission it's the internals that are different.

Honda city 2006 till date is fitted with CVT nothing bad in CVT just ensure that you don't pour automatic transmission fluid inside a CVT

Very good vehicle but transmission is CVT not regular auto so honda DW1 isn't the transmission fluid but honda genuine CVT.

I drive a 2008 TSX and the manual says premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or so. I have googled and that seems to be the octane rating of Nigerian fuel. I have therefore restricted myself to buying fuel solely at nnpc stations.
Any need to use an octane booster?

It is cheaper to source for original timing belt, shouldn't exceed 15k, check the pulleys and ensure oil isn't getting to timing belt chamber.

The belt keeps giving way because something is wrong around that side.

I am certain the 2005 acura TSX does not require premium gasoline. Though it maybe recommended but not required.

Benz w203 is okay, but buy from 2005 to 2007 because of improvements in interior and all. Most people would agree on a NA engine than the turbo charged variants.

The Acura TSX is same as Accord of same year except it is more luxurious.

I have always loved the TSX and admire it, but the w203 too isn't bad though a bit smaller than the TSX and cramped in the back seat.

Reliability the TSX is tops, fuel economy any 4cylinder of both would do.

Low maintenance is on par to a degree

The car was bought with a very good body but bad engine and gear box. I didn't want to go reworking the old engine.

Honda CRV of that year had 3 engine variant
2.0L i4
2 4L i4
2.2L diesel

It was fitted with 2 auto transmissions
4speed and 5speed.

The funny thing is the 2.4L KA24 engines have multiple variants upto 10 types, its possible the wrong engine was paired to wrong transmission leading to the issues you are currently facing.

But start by first scanning the vehicle the codes would direct you on how to fix issues at hand

I recently bought a Nigerian used Honda Crv 2005 model and to avoid problems I ordered for a tokumbo engine and gear box. I am not enjoying the car, gear indicator D is blinking and only selects when I remove my leg from the gas pedal. When it is not blinking as it does sometime it doesn't select at all. The car has no fuel economy. The engine's sound is very good. We have serviced and even changed sensors or solenoid all to no avail. I need professional help.

It is based on the 2011 yo 2017 civic sedan. Depends on what engine you are buying, comes in 2.0L, 2L and 1 5L plus electric motor (hybrid). I did say stick to the 2.0 and 2.4L due to technical know how.

Should be reliable considering it's a more rushed up civic. But body parts may be expensive it's a rare ride

Just budget like 6 to 7k because dual pump II was 5k that time I did shakara I bought it 8k this year.

Before I asked the electrician to check fuse the only issue was the central lock wasn’t functioning well

Availability of parts, 90% parts are readily available at itire in lagos, pricy but solid.

Maintenance 20%, not a car kazeem should be allowed to touch, sensors full everywhere, engine and transmission are not the most reliable in its category of competition, doesn't take any iota of abuse, strict maintenance should be adhered to.

Reliability, I won't buy a recent VW product in Nigeria except I have money to waste, they aren't top in reliability and mechanics don't understand their technology much

Nope, that engine in your pic is a 1mz 3.0L V6, look at the position of the radiator cover beside the engine.

The 3mz 3.3L V6 radiator cover is infront of the engine. Hats the easiest way to different the 1mz from 3mz if the engine cover is silver

Pushing for a 01or 02, anything above 03 will tear my pocket.. Family and few times haulage for farm produce, the nissan Serena I was pushing for enn, after payment I discovered it was diesel and the seller claimed not to know about it,

I have a 2000 though I left it for family use. The vehicle is okay, parts are cheap, engine and transmission are rugged and solid, a good choice nonetheless.

If your haulage entails heavy goods like rice, garri, oil palm heavy agric produce of 500kg you may need to adjust the rear strut and change rim from 15 to 16inch though it disfigured the rear of the vehicle but guards against rear scraping which can damage the fuel tank and exhaust system.

All are rugged, the older the model year, the cheaper the parts. On a general note 2004 to 2010 ticks the general note with the 04 to 06 with 3.3L engine most people's favorite
