Yeah 2016 or there about Nigerian used Nissan. Had an overheating issue at bolade oshodi, change hose and some other stuffs was driving down from alakuko. Then KAI and lastman never dey hungry like now, they assisted me in pushing off the road. After fixing took off again and engine knocked on third mainland bridge as in all the works with the car puffing smoke towed it 5k to my house. I learned some technicalities with the vehicle later on but still regret not buying the golf 3 cabriolet which was cheaper by 30k |

Nah naija used your budget can afford definently a 2grfe engine.
You need a professional to check it out for you, someone who isn't biased, the engine and gear are very expensive, the compressor for AC is expensive but a good specimen would serve you well |
Car Talk › Re: I Need Nitrogen For My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee by nurey(m): 7:07pm On Dec 25, 2022 |
Nitrogen is a free element and abundant in the atmosphere, the 7th most abundant element in the world, I dont see why you need it when the air suspension system can easily filter it from the air.
The suspension not rising isn't because of nitrogen but because to fix an issue isn't a million dollar scan equipment but transmitting the DTC into working prognoses.

Heavy duty vehicles use steel rim, never seen alloy rim on them b4 as in 1.5tons upwards cargo vehicles.
Alloy also brings out beauty in small vehicles, light weight and stronger than steel. |

I think only the dealer which I do not know or have access to can answer that. If the car is not shiny and extremely clean also the plates are like 5years ago and already fading, custom no get business with you. But from what I saw in the pix you uploaded in another thread, I dont think custom would even stop you to ask for custom papers you aren't part of their food chain. |

Kelvin30286063: Hmm, I use to console myself with the believe that manual is faster cos I drove two manual cars as a new car owner back in the days but since I started driving auto, I've come to realize that what you make up for in pick up speed in a manual car, it's all recovered back at the end in an automatic car. There is every likelihood that if you pick up 5 seconds earlier in your manual, the automatic may still get to the finish line before you for two reasons, if you're not accurate in your subsequent gear shifts while the automatic (with a good gearbox) is always 100% accurate and if you're so unlucky that the automatic has a pedal shifter, you're done for. Don't forget that an automatic transmission focuses mainly on fuel economy combined with reducing wear and tear reason many basic auto transmission would shift gears between 2500 to 3000rpm except for sport oriented vehicles. Then Auto would delay gear downshift in order to minimize fuel loss while climbing hills, a downshift would inevitably reduce speed For your last line if everything is same between the auto and manual and the same driver was behind the wheels, if the manual lift off b4 the auto I don't see how the auto would eventually catch up |
Car Talk › Re: Manual/ Auto In Terms Of Speeding by nurey(m): 7:06am On Dec 22, 2022 |
mejai: I don't know about straight line/road race (boring Sha). But you see corner-corner road, nothing will make an automatic transmission catch up with manual transmission. Na there driving sweet. Nurey, I lie? In this your corner corner race, you have added variables which cannot be controlled, if the automatic has a paddle shifter then it has balanced the equation then the skill of the drivers would determine the race outcome |

nairaandkobo: Today, my oil light came up; I checked the dip stick oil was gagged started the engine and continued, later the light flashed and hasn't come up again. Any idea, with whats wrong?
Car is Toyota corolla 2003.
Always serviced with full synthetic oil after 3,000 miles because of long journeys. If you have a scanner once the light comes on and stays on scan for error codes related to oil issues. If not, it could be your oil sensor playing tricks on you, could be faulty or bridged wire. Also ensure the full synthetic oil you are using is of good quality, if light still behaves like that and the oil sensor is okay, then you have to open the sump and check for sludge. If sludge is found then that is where the issue is. |

Car Talk › Re: Gear ATF For Honda Pilot 07 by nurey(m): 6:16pm On Dec 20, 2022 |
ipobcannibals: Best advice so far, that is if theOP will listen. I don’t why some people will change their ATF as if they’re changing engine oil? Transmission fluid can last for 150,000km and need no changing for the next 15yrs. You people should stop misleading people and rather read up on manuals. For brandnew vehicle manufacturer would peg transmission oil change at 100k km after exceeding 100k km next change may be half then next would be every 30k km. Nigeria environmental is the reason we adviced people to change regularly 2 to 3 years or less for cars that are sensitive and known to be defective. Buy a tokunbo car and check the colour of the transmission after 3 years it's likely black already and when you decide to change nah wahala be that. I personally change my ATF every 2years because I don't want what happened in 2015 to occur again. |

Thanks Tricky one, I would pick the 07 C280 because of the minimal luxury, refinement. For speed, the V6 accord is bae as long as you take care of the ball joints and change the timing belt as at when due. |

SC (street custom) is fitted with 18inch alloy wheel and same colour all through bumper and body, only available in front wheel drive. |

Musty4ahmed1: Please I went to do my Alinghment after my mechanic did some work on my Toyota camry 2001, I was told that my manual gear oil is short. I never knew that a Transmission car like my car uses manual gear oil. The guy told me to buy the oil else my gear may pack up in no distant time. Please I want to know if it is true that their is manual transmission oil for Toyota camry 2001 and what is the recommended manual oil. I need your advice before I get back to the Alignment guy tomorrow. Thank you. Yes manual transmission uses transmission oil nah only that the oil can last years without changing. As for recommended give the mechanic to buy the oil or enter any spare part seller and ask for gear oil for transmission anyone available would do but recommended is 75W80 |
Car Talk › Re: A Weird Cranking Noise Coming From The Engine Of RX 350 (2009) by nurey(m): 6:25pm On Dec 13, 2022 |
natedroid: There’s a weird cranking noise that sometimes emanate from the engine of my few months old RX 350 (2009) Lexus. Bought the car directs Tok and engine is still very sound . I usually notice this weird engine noise whenever the vehicle is parked for a few hour’s especially on hot afternoons
My mechanic said it happens due to oil circulation when you start a car and its normal.
Another mechanic told me it could be that the filter under bottom plate is dusty or it could be that the chains in the engine need to be adjusted. That I should bring it for him to access it .
A friend who uses ES 350 is also experiencing similar issues and his mechanic said it’s the oil circulation when a car parked for a few hours starts
I’m still not satisfied with the mechanics response
I use the normal Mobil sold 9500 at Mobil stations and I’m thinking of switching to Mobil 1 hoping that would correct the noise. A colleague using RX350 uses Mobil 1 and has never encountered issues like this with his car
Please I need the views of experts/engineers in the house
Anybody here experienced a similar issues before ? https://www.nairaland.com/4105347/rattle-sound-cold-start-rx350Read the post and start from the op fix first before opening engine |

saysugar: If manual v6 vs auto v6 happen to be on highway which one is more faster and speedy, same engine different transmission?? If it was before that's 90s to early 2000, it would be manual transmission from stop to quater mile back then most manual always lift off than auto, manual also always have a better 0 to 62mph than auto. But currently it would be a Tie also depending on driver, the automatic transmission may have a edge here because the computers became more effective and responsive, so if the manual driver isn't timely, he would drop back. Above all a Bugatti at 200km/h has same speed as a micra doing 200km/h, if both were side by side, they would finish at same time. |
