I want to talk about BMW 3 series as well as the 5series in comaparism, but focusing more on 3series because that is the type I always see around, now I want to know the the real things about BMW that made it look like a big luxury car, and how good are they in Nigerian roads compare to Japanese cars, are they very reliable as Mercedes benz, are their spare parts readily available in our markets, why do most people avoid BMs and volks even when they are regarded as German machines, I love the 3series but I am scared of getting one because I don't see many of it on our roads,

Depends on what model you intend to get, I love the E46 and from what I know about it, the engines are reliable from the 4cylinder to the top of the line M3, but the 07 upwards E90 is an owners nightmare, people are advice to avoid it like a plague if you can.

But this 2002 Infiniti QX4 (engine shown below) gulps more gas than FX35 having VQ35DE

FX35 is a CUV in AWD or RWD while QX4 is a RWD or 4WD SUV. QX4 is a 4speed auto while FX35 is a 5speed auto.

Alot of other factors contribute to why the FX35 has a better fuel economy than the QX4.

stock to stock the fx is better in fuel economy but both cars a way different, the fx is a sport tuned CUV while the QX is geared more at off-road vehicle.

so pick the appropriate one for your use

if left for me, I will pick a FX35 because it is a performance vehicle, commands respect as old as it is. Better looking than the MDX to me, it's an INFINITI, everybody wants to own one

The engine are a bit different in the internal and external pathways, QX4 is a 240hp while FX35 boost upto 260hp.

The QX4 is an SUV while FX35 is a CUV, fuel economy of both would be relatively close especially in the city economy, but the FX may trump a bit in the highway economy.

QX4 is but the FX35 isn't all that bad in terms of reliability if you don't mess around with the electrical

It's not only a Nissan March thing, most Nissan especially those converted ones. NATs is a very troublesome technology

European market always have extra eg the Honda Accord Europe is a rebadged Acura TSX in US and very expensive than the normal Accord.

If you want cheaper parts then the harrier with 1mz is cheapest followed by 330 then 350.

I did pick the cadenza, more popular, reliable engine especially the 3.3L lambda, better road appearance, better interior and exterior attraction and looks.

I don't know much about the impala my believe is that it's the cheapest chevrolet money can buy on the street of US, I see is as a masses car. (my opinion not real fact)

Some of us are just wired differently. if you hate the element, you did probably hate the Toyota FJ cruiser.

@OP, Kingreign is right about the ES 330. It's essentially a gussied up Camry, checks all the boxes you mentioned.

There's also the matrix of course, if you decide against a V6.

ES350 the underdog a luxury car but too soft on luxury compared to the competition

cross tour with the J35Z3 you may encounter VCM issues with vibration like earthquake but can be disabled for peace of mind. the i4 is ok

MDX luxury redefined no gear problem but try avoid the tech pack the headache may not be worth it.

C300 a regular stable in the garage not bad

Toyota highlander not worth the price considering the available tech but very reliable and problem free, remember to do the metallic oil cool line bypass to avoid failure on the 2gr engine.

ML350 entered, driven and boy o boy, the turning radius is to die for but the 4matic parts if fail are expensive to replace. but reliable workhorse

Those trucks don't have issues with their brakes, neither do they have issues with rusts. It's not an old tacoma or old tundra

it does the brake, Abs and servo. Most either convert to the predecessor brake type or buy a complete replacement unit.

This car model captivates me each time I sight one. It is probably one of the most rugged toyota SUV ever made. I want to own one for accessing rugged terrains and towing majorly.

Aside from the obvious poor fuel economy(v8) which I don't mind, what is the feasibility or practicality of owning this model in nigeria.

Owners or former owners of this tank should please give an insight to the ownership, how accessible are the parts, what is the cost of its engine and gear, what are the common issues with this jeep.

The only down side of the vehicle is the brake issue it normally has, which cost a lot to fix. I think it also rust if you wade in muddy water often
