Those people advising Seun Osewa to get his own server to host Nairaland are just telling him to permanently shutdown Nairaland, because it is clear that Seun cannot handle the high level of cyber attack that will face Nairaland... Come to think of it Seun Osewa felt like a god to the extent he ignored abuse report from his hosting provider, then you expect him to do what with his own server? Bottom line is if Seun Osewa should host Nairaland on his own webserver then he must be ready to follow all international abuse rules, else the domain name (Nairaland.com) will be seized. Then you get something like Nairaland.org or Nairaland.co, if things should go this way then Nairaland is dead.

What is the basis for your anger? Or is it that you misunderstood me? I said Cloudflare is not the webhosting company that took down Nairaland. Cloudflare is just a Content Delivery Network (CDN). Meaning Cloudflare can't take down Nairaland. The official webhosting company that took down Nairaland is called OVH SAS,and the server is located in Granville, France.

Cloudflare didn't take down Nairaland server. Infact Cloudflare is not a webhosting company. Also note that the take down was not due to comments here, there is another serious reason eg. a fake address of the website owner in the Whois record of Nairaland can lead to a take down. Or the upload of prohibited files on the server by the owner eg. a malware or Trojan or even using Nairaland server as a C&C to control a Botnet. Finally we cannot rule out the possibility of self take down carried out by Seun Osewa in the incident of a hacking that occurred, in this case a self takedown is to clean up the server and get rid of any malicious file or program. Explanation is needed from Seun Osewa.

Nairaland's server was taken down by our host's abuse team because of an abuse report that wasn't attended to on time.

After rectifying the error, we brought the server back for a few minutes, but they decided to take the server down again. Since then, we haven't heard from the abuse team, yet the support team keeps insisting that only the abuse team can help us.

So we had to transfer Nairaland to a temporary host in order to bring it back to you. A VERY time-consuming process. We are not fully back, even though most features of the site are working. We still have a long way to go. Additional downtime is likely; don't let it alarm you.

There's a lot more to say, but I have to go back to work to ensure that our return is permanent. Please forgive us for the stress we caused. We appreciate the love and support that you showed us during the ordeal. Nairaland is too important for us to let this happen again.

For Nairaland to be taken seriously again, a detailed report of what transpired that led to the take down of Nairaland server should be made public, not this "running around the bush" infact the story from Seun Osewa is confusing. For example some media houses are reporting that Cloud flare is the host of Nairaland and Cloudflare took down Nairaland. For clarity sake Cloudflare is not a website hosting company, instead Cloudflare is a content delivery network (CDN), and Cloudflare cannot take down Nairaland. Secondly it is very rare to shutdown a website because of a comment or post from a user, meaning I am convinced that there is another reason for the takedown eg. The use of Nairaland server for hosting malicious contents like Botnets and Trojans, or sending a malicious email using Nairaland mail server. Bottom line is a detailed technical report is needed from Seun Osewa regarding the takedown of Nairaland, because Nairaland is no longer a private company with private interest, Nairaland thrives on post from users and not posts from the owners.

I trust Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo state to teach this kind of people sense... Do you know that only 9 out of 18 people were sworn in as Edo state house of assembly members between 2019 and 2023? It was because of same issue like this... Infact Philip Shaibu tried to play this kind of game with Mr Obaseki, but he landed into trouble that almost earned him impeachment. Obaseki termed Philip Shaibu a coup plotter!!!

Come on now! ₦5k is $5. For a training/tutorial to get into tech I only need 5k? Don't kid me please. Plus different people charge based on how they value their time and worth. It's okay to value yourself at ₦5k per trainee. There are loads of people out there (with way more knowledge and real-life experience than you) who value themselves much much more.

It's not exactly the same. Augmentin efficacy is more than amoxicillin. It also have clavulanic acid.

Clavulanic acid is not the main active ingredient in Augmentin it just an excipient, meaning it cannot work on its own if used, Amoxicillin is still the major active ingredient of Augmentin. Clavulanic acid was added to Augmentin to reduce anaphylaxis on individuals who cannot tolerate Amoxicillin as a stand alone drug. Also Clavulanic acid when mixed with Amoxicillin serves as an inhibitor of some strains of bacteria. When choosing Augmentin one must consider the following 1. Do I have allergy (Anaphylaxis) when I take Amoxicillin as a stand alone drug? 2. Is my bacteria infection resistant against Amoxicillin? 3. Give an estimate of people that migrate out of the country to the countries you mention. For instance, there are like over 500,000 Nigerians in US, then how many of them are into crime or have been reported prosecuted? If you say 95%, then that means like 475,000 of them are into crime.

So give an evidence of something like this, provide the country, how many Nigerians are there and the number of Nigerians reported doing crime.

Well, a male classmate who happens to be in Germany told me the exact reason why Nigerian men often go for Nigerian women, and the reason he gave is because of crime!!! He explained to me that for example there is a high level of tolerance of domestic violence from Nigerian women but white women don't do that. I told him that if not that I am already married before traveling to Germany for the first time I would have married a German woman just like him, and take her to any country I reside in because his assertions are true.

You can make it big as a female photographer in a very busy environment like a higher institution or close to a micro finance bank... people in these environments usually need passport photos alot. Atleast you must get your daily bread while you wait for big contracts like marriage and modelling photographing... meanwhile learn photo editing, and you should be able to edit and photos with Computer and mobile phone.
Another way to make it is to look for good events and parties where you can go and make cool money by taking instant photos and turn them to calendar, but you must be very fast on this, if possible go there with someone to help you with soliciting for customers etc. Always be professional, drop any mindset of hookup at home before going to work and God will be with you.

Men like Sam Altman an co got one or two knowledge from tech bootcamps and conferences like DEFCON, Black Hat and RSA conferences, it is called knowledge transfer... so why talk down of Nigerian tech conference hosts? I advise you to rediscover yourself and create a good niche for yourself in tech... instead of to talk down on Nigerian tech conference hosts, or are doing this so that they will get angry and stop hosting tech conferences and bootcamps then you can take over and only you will host and also increase the price from 5k to 1 million?
