Romance › Re: Why Do Most Gals Advice Their Friends Wrongly by Oahray:
esosa993:
@oahray eh you really know gals ooo, to be sincere am this type of person that keep friends, especially male friends and few female friends, and most times I don't even talk about my relationship with any gal. But the point is they'll always notice how your guy treats you with love and care and they'll try and poison your relationship. Sincerely I have stayed away from gals over a year now. My only fear right now is that am gonna be having a roommate by November due to money so I have to manage, but I just dunno how to handle it since gals like meddling in your business
hmmm... There's a saying in my place that literally means "it is someone that knows a person that can kill him." Knowledge to an extent is power, no one gets privileged info from me until he/she qualifies.

I just wonder why it's so easy for ladies to just open their mouth and pour out sensitive info that is no one's business, just cos of a moment of camaraderie.

Anyway, the truth is you have to talk about yourself too if you are part of the girls' talk. It's an unwritten rule. So it helps if you don't get too involved when they are talking about theirs, no matter how juicy the gist is.

The same girls guys keep pressuring to open their legs for them? Blatant hypocrisy.
Romance › Re: Why Do Most Gals Advice Their Friends Wrongly by Oahray: 7:40am On Sep 12, 2015
Why do ladies have to tell their friends so much about their relationships anyway? When we tell people stories about ourselves or others, we are inviting them to air their opinion. Why get surprised when they do?

People give advice based on their own experience. If you knew wrong from right, why seek advice?

I love this type of defence. This is better than the pepper spray.

I wish world leaders can pass a law that allowed every woman to carry knives incase of molestation.

Serve him right. The joystick will never raise again. How much will he pay "Olosho" that he find it hard to do.
Seriously? Knives? You do know that not every lady out there is honest and sane, right?

Heheh. You said something about writing in pidgin English. I remember one of the members of the NPC WhatsApp group did that once, and it was really awesome, but their name has since eluded me. I think it was firestar or Oahray. Since then, I had been thinking of doing one myself, but I think I need more guts. grin

Besides, I thought that the genre of a poem written in that language should be humor, and humorous pieces are pieces I really suck at writing.

PS: There was a class on the poetry group where Firestar was teaching us about haikus, and she did some pidgin. I remember doing some few 'wack' ones myself too. grin
me? How novice wan take get that kind mind na?

If the 'communicating with animals' pill applies to ALL animals, and permanently, I'd take it without thinking twice. Imagine the possibilities...

Else, maybe the brain power pill.

all I am doing is putting you up on game. you can continue to tell women they are supernovas. it is your business lol and you will keep on getting the results the guy who said it to his woman got. if i remember correctly he said his woman looked at him like he was crazy. wink
that was just defensive mechanism to hide the fact that she either totally had no idea or just couldn't remember at that moment what a supernova is.

bro, 9 times out of 10 if you tell a woman she is like a supernova what you are telling her is that she has a very explosive temper. she has anger problems
the intended meaning of metaphors depends on context. It isn't mathematics.

i am not trying to sound smart. i am in the west and people around here are more technical and intuitive and assertive so you cant just say anything that is not figuratively accurate because people will take it as an insult. that stuff may work in nigeria but it will not work in many civilized nations. you cant call an intelligent woman a supernova and expect her to be happy with it. a supernova is a dying star. there is a moment of beauty in it but it is still a dying star. so in western countries you cant call women that. it is offensive. you have to be more specific about what part of the dying star are you comparing her to. and hence you say ' you look as radiant as the emmisions from a star in supernova '. now that is a compliment. you have to be technical when you speak to very smart people because they know everything ( well almost everything ) and get offended easily
it's a metaphor jare. Listen to Eminem's Spacebound. He used this same expression you are arguing about.

Only pseuds can't differentiate between literal and metaphorical usage. If I call you a lion and, because you are so smart, you get hurt thinking I'm calling you a carnivore, na you sabi.
Romance › Re: No Man Can Snatch Your Wife If You Have These 6 Qualities. by Oahray: 12:59pm On Sep 09, 2015
Well, unless it's a kidnapping, one cannot exactly 'snatch' anyone's wife or husband or lover.

hmmm bros just cuz something looks beautiful when it is dying does not mean she wants to be compared to something that is dying now. him for say ' you are as beautiful as the lights emanating from a star in supernova ' grin grin
if she doesn't mind being called a 'dove' with a pea-sized brain cos it sounds endearing, an awesome supernova shouldn't be demeaning cheesy

Exactly, but maybe that generation of ET has died off just like ours have died off too.

But their children should know asin they should have records of it and if their children visited they would be surprised they won't find the primitive dummies their father's met when they came grin

Endless are the possibilities . . . Let them come smiley
hehehe... I wonder why people try to differentiate science fiction from fantasy. They are just as speculative as each other.

Makes for interesting imagination though.

However, understanding how these portals work can lead us to fabricate our own versions. "Low energy portals"
We can always find out why humans cannot travel through natural portals, and then create fine tuned ones through which we can.

I know but Africans is like Pheeeew don't even know what to say.

You will see someone zapped by lightening will start blaming his village uncles instead of acknowledging he was standing directly on the path of the lightening..

That reminds me, How to calculate how close you are to a lightening.
Once a lightening flashes, start a stop watch and stop the stop watch immediately the thunder clap follows.

then divide the time by 5. . .If you get less than 0.5 migrate from that area immediately to avoid stories that touch grin but if you have variable above 0.5, you are safe..
em... We'd get there someday (hopefully), technology affords us the opportunity of learning what we aren't taught in our schools.

I'd try this.
