Please, you don't use 'harder' when comparing three or more things. ![]() |
Well... "No one who puts his hands on a plough and looks BEHIND, is fit for the Kingdom of God" - Jesus |

Hmmm... Well, for every Adele, there's a Nicki Minaj, a Beyonce, a Rihanna, a Lady Gaga, a Britney Spears, an Iggy Azalea... *continues reading from long list* Gangnam Style topping the youtube views chart also means it is top quality. No? |
Hmmm... *following* |

On the whole, this is a nice writeup. However, affection isn't static. A lady may just decide to give a persistent guy a chance and end up loving him more than he loves her. Such love could wax stronger or gradually fizzle out. There is no law that a guy who loves a girl more than she loves him would ALWAYS show the greater love. I'd always advocate giving love the right conditions to blossom rather than ladies looking for a love greater than theirs. The latter is as short-term as it is selfish. That said, most of the tips here wouldn't have the same effect on every guy. For example, if a lady Oahray likes decides to give him unreasonable space for no reason, they would likely become strangers by the time she's ready to check if it worked. |
They are somewhat related, but not the same thing. That doesn't mean they are mutual exclusives. The fact that it is established that you are jealous (your confession) doesn't mean you aren't also showing a lack of trust. If you are jealous, you feel bad that someone you like/love is showing attention to someone else; attention you feel should be yours. If you trust someone, you believe he/she wouldn't try to trick you or do anything on purpose to hurt you. Now a lack of it means you'd always suspect the worst. Now the relationship... Trust counters jealousy, gives you a reason to discard unfounded suspicions. Without trust, your insecurity would give way to jealousy and your jealousy untamed would blaze like a wildfire eating at your relationship till all you have left is ashes. Persons who trust their partners also get jealous, but how they handle it is what sets them apart from others who lack trust in their partners. |
ronald4lif:lol. "Love is a choice and doesn't exist." Some quote... How did I even miss this kind of thread? Edit: Please don't like this post. I was only marvelling at how anyone could be so much at peace with so many contradictions. ![]() |
patwickk:God's love changes. He punished Israel several times, thought of wiping them out at least once, and eventually cast them off. It just wasn't time that changed it, but their response to his own love. If something is genuine, it is true, it is real. It doesn't have to be unconditional (no such love exists) to be true. You guys are just trying to make six seem different from half a dozen. |
Seriously? How can you assume a meaning for something (out of the blue) and then argue against that assumption as if it is a universally accepted viewpoint? Strawman at it's best. You said... "Love can be genuine... but there is nothing like true love." Pray tell, uncjay, what's is the difference between true love and genuine love? You beat around the bush throughout your post. |
mira4u:hmmm... Just so you know, it took you approximately 6 weeks and 3 days to post this totally epic reply. I had to go back to remind myself that I once honoured you with a conversation. Revenge is indeed best served cold. I'm pretty sure your rant would have hurt if you had spent some more time editing it. ![]() |
Silence greets his plea Like a long-lost friend. From a distance, a ray strikes its target Not hope, not the light at the tunnel's end. 'Romance goers' he says. This reality I hope he remembers, Romancelanders only wish to write Straight lines with lust-filled members. |
I assume you are talking about novels so I won't include the Bible. Some of my favourites... A Song of Ice and Fire (1-5) - George R. R. Martin (I hope to get the hardcopies someday) The Godfather - Mario Puzo The Pelican Brief - John Grisham Silent Treatment - Michael Palmer Are You Afraid of the Dark? - Sidney Sheldon Half of a Yellow Sun - Chimamanda Adichie (her best book so far, imo) The Concubine - Elechi Amadi |
Hmmm... You dedicated a record two paragraphs to the tale of a guy ditching his girl. Pretty much sounds like the inspiration for this thread. I hope you get over it. ![]() |
Hmmm... Just seeing the mention. This is wrong on so many levels. I don't "fall in love at sight at any beautiful girl." If that makes me less of a guy, no wahala. That part about dating or marrying a girl cos she appeals to the eyes or passed the bed test... It's because guys haven't learnt to look beyond the mundane that they keep getting scammed. If it's ok to love a girl's body only, why is it wrong of her to love your money only? Rare or not, there's true romantic love in Naija, and I'm eternally grateful to the lady that helped me see the light. I'd give her the world as soon as I get it ![]() |
Who said there wouldn't be batch C anymore? |
Smh |
Nothing new here. The average Nigerian girl (dunno about other places) has at least 3 bfs, just that there's still a number one guy. They still find a way to make cheating seem like an exclusively man thing. |
Sweetyie:smh... With your fingers you 'call' God awesome, yet you quickly insult someone made in His image. Why? |
Deejavuu:hmmm... I dey talk of hot tea, you dey change topic to ice cube. This tactic you just used, is it diversion or evasion? |
anangboy:lol ![]() |
Kingsley1000:well, you didn't ask which is the most rewarding. The most pleasurable doesn't have to be the most rewarding. |
You don't have all the details, don't speculate. |
