Remember Ebitu Ukiwe ? Okay you want Osinbajo to tender his resignation as evidence that he's a concerned Christian?.. Okay.. Noted! |

There are clearly many genuine, peaceful herdsmen, probably like these ones, that are different from the murderous bandits terrorizing many areas in the country. Unfortunately the killers among their ranks have spoiled the reputation of all Fulanis; the matter is even made worse by the criminal silence and even broad day light support of the marauders by all Fulani leaders. Just imagine the IG of police visiting Benue where thousands had been killed and the only comment he could make was that the killings were because Benue people refused to release land to herders for cattle grazing?... The open support the Fulanis have for the killer herdsmen is nauseating; they dont even attempt to hide it. |

But their criminal indifference and open defence of the marauders has sent fear down the spine of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe. EazyMoh: I don't think this mushroom Refinery would have any significant economic value when compared to the relatively bigger refineries. For a viable Refinery it should be not less than 50k barrels per day. A 7kbpd Refinery especially in Nigeria will be challenged by many economic factors that it would be unwise to run. Mind you industries like these are mainly Governed by economy of scale in the sense that the higher the production the cheaper the cost of production. Unless the refineries would be limited to AGO production which is the easiest and cheapest but of less demand. Yeah you are right, but something I read about these modular refineries is that they can be pretty much optimised and efficient and can actually run at good profits if certain things are put in place; one of which is the infrastructure for supply of raw material/feedstock. This was the reason I mentioned locating them next to existing refineries in order to share certain vital assets like crude supply pipelines, storage tanks and discharge bays. |

Now swerve. I dearly hate when people carelessly use the word 'lie' like they really know what it is; can you kindly remind me of what I have said in this thread which is a lie? I'd really love to hear it. I've seen like a hundred reports where it was mentioned that a modular refinery was to be built at Kwale. For the first time, pictures finally emerge and then you jump on the thread claiming it's a lie! it's a lie!, that no refinery is being built in Kwale; you obviously tried to paint a picture that no refinery project was ongoing anywhere. But when tackled, you then come out to say "the refinery is being built at Emu and not Kwale". What exactly were you trying to achieve by raising such false alarm in the first place?.... And by the way, since you claim everybody (from the VP, to the petroleum minister to journalists etc), who said the refinery is in Kwale is either ignorant or a liar, can you kindly tell us how far this Emu (where you claim the refinery actually is located) is from Kwale? |

Proudlyngwa: Licensing, site evaluation and allocation, environmental impact analysis, construction and finalisation of modular refineries takes years to come to fruition. I used to think like you too, but more experienced people have put me through.
If the last administration , had thought of this during the era of plenty, we would never have gotten into forex mess. Well, all those can be fast tracked if the government got its act together. Besides, even if completion were to be in 2019 or 2020, I expected the govt to have taken loans and invested in several of these; getting a loan for purposes like this would have been very easy and the repayment would equally have been easy (if managed properly). |

I understand a lot of people hate the government with a passion and choose to distrust everything but this is pushing it a bit too far. Sorry to disappoint you guys on this one, it doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, or whether you agree or not, the fact is that a modular refinery is currently being built in Kwale; Kwale isnt the size of your father's compound for you to expect to see or know the location of every single project, including a relatively small refinery being raised in some remote forest. Maybe this might make your pained hearts feel a little bit better, the refinery isn't being built by the government, it's a private initiative. |

In the wake of the forex crisis, this is something I expected a serious government to have done; take mega loans, build about 10-20 modular refineries at the site of existing mega refineries, and as soon as projects are completed, concession the refineries to private operators for efficient and profitable management.
If that was done, not only would the loans be easily paid off, the forex crisis and recession would have been a thing of the past. But the government is rather waiting for Dangote to complete his mega refinery. |

The government said it had adopted carefully considered measures to holistically tackle the challenges of obstruction caused by water, gas and sewage pipes, adding that Nigerians would start enjoying the rail line from the first month of next year.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, gave the assurance after the monthly meeting of the Lagos-Ibadan Rail line Project Steering Committee at the Ibadan Railway Yard, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Amaechi was quoted in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Yetunde Sonaike, as saying, “We hope this project will be completed within the lifespan of construction. Nigerians are putting us under immense pressure.
Well, we can gladly say to you that work has started in earnest at the Lagos-Ibadan Rail Project and these are some of the pictures we can gather.
The question is that, Is 2019 feasible for this project? Time will tell

Sodiqsoda: Dino Melaye: Asari Dokubo reveals how Buhari, police allegedly tried to kill Senator (Watch Video)
https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Asari-Dokubo.jpg
Asari Dokubo, ex-militant leader has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has marked Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye for death. Dokubo claimed that Buhari arranged with the police to push the lawmaker out of a moving van.
Recall that Melaye was alleged to have jumped off a moving police van in Abuja conveying him to Lokoja to face criminal charges.
However, the ex-militant leader, wondered how the lawmaker could have jumped off the van with security operatives present and the doors locked.
In a video he posted in his Facbook, Dokubo said, “People are happy with what is happening to Dino Melaye, saying he deserves it.
“Yes he does but if Melaye, who was one of the most vociferous and loquacious personalities in Buhari’s campaign that brought this evil on us can be treated this way by throwing him out of a moving vehicle, then it can happen to any one of us.
“Buhari wanted to kill Melaye by throwing him off a bus, if not, how was it possible for Melaye to have jumped off a Hiace bus with police officers.
“In a Hiace bus, there are two seats in the front and four rolls of seats behind. In one of the role Melaye was seating there were armed police men and it was locked, how did Melaye jumped off?
“Was there a transfiguration or a Dino Melaye’s rapture?
“You know he has being singing some religious songs, may be he was in the spirit and was raptured and only to find himself on the ground outside the bus.
“People don’t ask questions, Buhari thinks that because he is the captain of ‘Dundy United’ we all are fans and players of this his club.
“The conclusion we can get from all this was that Dino Melaye was marked to be killed.”

. All these bunkums trying to stay relevant... so which story are we going to believe? - Original report said Dino jumped out of the vehicle after he realised he was being taken to be arraigned at Lokoja instead of Abuja - Ben Bruce after visiting Dino, tells the press that 'an asthmatic' Dino was teargased by the police in the police vehicle; reason why he had to jump out a moving vehicle to save his life from suffocating. - Now the fat agbero has come with another twist, that Buhari marked Dino to be murdered and the best way they could execute it was by asking the police to push him off the car. |
