misano: Accept it. Buhari has done nothing yet. Stop being so angry. Moukandjo: Na simple question I ask! But your refusal to answer already says a lot! So since we've agreed that those universities aren't even up to secondary school standard, wouldn't it have been wise to improve the standard of the existing ones instead of building those craps? It's not even about the unis being like secondary schools, the fact is that they were only 'ESTABLISHED' with just one or two structures in place and are definitely not anywhere near complete; in terms of structures, not a single one of them is up to 10% complete. They will be built little by little by successive administrations (through the capital budgets in the education ministry and some other education intervention funds like etf) and even in the next 15 years, they might not still be up to 50% completed. A lot of people are just too damn ignorant to understand the meaning of the word 'continuity'. |

misano: Why didn't Buhari improve the standard of the existing once?
Mr 'Continuation', why did Buhari not improve those 14 universities built by GEJ as his continuation/improvement plan.
Buhari is a disappointment. Disgrace and a old dull leader. After bragging dat his government was going to make life better 4 Nigerians. He only made it worse.
Fuel price went up, Rice price went up, Dollar to Naira na another story. Electricity... chai shame Buhari. Security... Benue people understand. All we hear are excuses and endless blame games.
If APC worked towards their 'change agenda' Bill Gate wouldn't have talked about how the health sector has been bad over the years with no improvement.
Shame, shame, shaaaaaaaaaame. Too many ignorant comments just packed into one thread. Regarding the bolded part of your comment above, there's a capital budget for the ministry of education and those 14 universities certainly have one or two new constructions springing up in them currently courtesy of the capital vote in the budget; that would also continue to be the case even for the next 15 years. So exactly what part of the word continuity do you not understand?.... or does adding one or two structures to a newly established uni not pass as "improvement" in your own dictionary? I suppose millions of Nigerians would have been more impressed if a new government came in and abandoned all 14 universities and established their own new 14 unis so as to impress some set of Nigerians. |

Letenwam: Few days ago, the President Buhari administration celebrated its third year in power, and what Nigerians on social media have been asking for, are projects he initiated and completed.
A Nigerian man and Facebook user, Victor Ezeanochie, took a rather radical move in finding out about projects started and completed by the present administration. According to him, he will be giving out his Lexus 300 SUV to anybody who mentions two projects initiated and completed by President Buhari.
His post reads;
BONANZA!! BONANZA!! BONANZA!!
I, HON VICTOR EZENDIGBO hereby resolve to give away my Lexus 300 jeep to anybody particularly buharists and buharians who can mention just two projects initiated,completed and commissioned by this present buhari led APC govt. All documents to this vehicle is ready for grab. GOODLUCK..
Nobody has won the prize which came with the post, which has long garnered 132 comments and 236 shares.
There's also a tweet on projects initiated and completed by President Buhari's government, in its 3 years in power. The tweet announced that anyone who mentions projects initiated and completed by President Buhari, will get 350k as a prize.
Twitter influencer @Sire_liljosh who confirmed the tweet, wrote;
Someone challenged Nigerians to name ONE federal government project initiated, completed and commissioned by Buhari since he came to power 3 years ago and win N20k The prize is now N350,000 and people still haven't found one!!! Just ONE project o o
This is after trillions of money have been recovered, given and borrowed. But Baba have cows and a mud house and he is fighting corruption.
Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, also lent his voice to call for landmark achievement of the Buhari's government. His tweets reads;
At this point, VP @ProfOsinbajo must be told to stop singing this old song of blame. Nigerians are no longer interested in what PDP did or failed to do.Rather, they are interested in what the APC govt has done and the VP should just tell Nigerians the achievements of their govt.
Today, even prosecution witnesses are suddenly disappearing in corruption cases involving those who have decamped to the APC and properties once seized are being returned to them. Obviously, PDP has purged itself of corrupt elements in its fold and offloaded them to the APC.
If VP @ProfOsinbajo can look around himself with honest eyes, he will see majority of those who called the shots during the previous PDP govts that he claimed mismanaged the country’s resources holding sensitive positions in the present govt.
Despite being a Professor of Law, the VP defended @officialEFCC Ag. Chairman, Magu that was indicted of corruption by the DSS, an agency under the President, by saying that Magu do not need the National Assembly to clear him. He is always jumping to defend what is indefensible.
Today, the most difficult question any student can be asked to answer in an examination is to list just five landmark achievements of the APC government in which Prof Osinbajo is the Vice President.
It was under three years that PDP government solved communication problems in Nigeria by providing Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) that has made it possible for Nigerians to use internet, social media and even bank in the comfort of their homes.
It is almost three years; Prof Osinbajo should tell Nigerians what their government did and stop blame-game please.
https://lailasnews.com/this-nigerian-man-is-giving-out-his-suv-to-anybody-who-mentions-two-projects-buhari-initiated-and-completed/ This challenge is pointless! FG projects aren't state or LG projects which you start and finish in one day, they typically span more than 1 tenure. If any is in doubt, then may such a person kindly point out examples of FG capital projects 'started' and 'completed' within a single tenure by OBJ or Yaradua or GEJ?... I'm sure no substantial examples cam be given. And then again, Nigeria is just recovering from a crippling recession which made it virtually impossible to do any capital projects in 2015 and 2016. For anyone trying to be too political by pinning this on Buhari's head alone, could such a person kindly remind us how much was budgeted for the ministry of works for capital projects in 2015 by GEJ/NOI?... Last I remember, it was less than N20bn, and that amount was even cut down later. |

They were started and completed by Jonathan. Stop beating about the bush with unnecessary arguments Give me specific details please... where in Uyo and Yenagoa are these flyovers? I mean the ones built by the FG?... Which roads?.... and When did the projects start and when were they completed? But since we no longer have any regard for the word 'completed', then permit me to come down to that level and start naming projects built by buhari too... lagos to Ibadan standard gauge railway, lagos to ibadan expressway rehabilitation, 3000mw mambilla hydro power dam, Onitsha to enugu road, benin to lokoja road dualisation, kano to Maiduguri road, abuja airport upgrade, lagos yo abeokuta road, PH to Enugu road etc. |

Obascoetubi: but we're still following 10 commandments from old testament Every one of the 10 commandments were revalidated in the new covenant. The law on tatoo prohibition was only mentioned in Leviticus, together with numerous other weird Mosaic laws which no living human can keep to. That was part of the reason Christ had to come to save mankind from the curse and heavy burden of those laws mentioned in Leviticus (go read Galatians 3:10-13; in fact read the entire chapter). I still cannot understand how people who are supposed to be followers of Christ (i.e. Christians) keep reading out components of the old Judaism laws as rules for Christianity; the confusing part of it all is that only selected verses (not all) of the mosaic laws are picked up and preached today. |

DaniDani: Federal University, Otueke was started and completed by Jonathan. There's one flyover in Bayelsa that was also started and completed by Jonathan. There's also a magnificent flyover that was constructed in Uyo by Jonathan. I have personally seen and confirmed these projects. Just give me 1 project Buhari 3 months after I gave this very simple challenge, kudos to you for being the first to attempt to respond to it. But unfortunately, your answers are laughable; someone probably doesnt know the difference between a state project (commissioned by a visiting president) vs a federal project. We could as well just say Buhari started and completed Ikeja bus terminal. Furthermore, you obviously do not know the meaning of the word 'completed', else I wonder why you would actually mention Federal uni Otuoke and the word 'completed' in the same sentence. How many buildings were built in the site and has up to 10% of the buildings in the masterplan been built? Meanwhile, it would actually be worthwhile if you could bring up more details of these 2 flyovers you talked about above; maybe I could be wrong in my assumptions. Provide any kind of detail whatsoever proving the the flyovers were built by the FG and that the projects actually commenced post 2010 and were completed before May 2015. Can you do that? Like I said again, FG projects arent state projects like a flyover or classroom blocks which you'd expect to be started and completed in one day. |

wirinet: It is annoying when supposedly educated men talk like vulcanisers. Is reno saying he did not offer or pass economics 101 in school?
Is renowned omokri saying he has not heard of such terms like inflation rate, revenue profile, population rate, exchange rate, etc?
What was the revenue profile of Nigeria during president Jonathan's time and what is the revenue profile now? How did the CBN keep the naira down during Jonathan's period? It is by auctioning dollars twice every week. Now where is the Buhari administration going to get the dollars to keep the naira low now? Reno and his supporters can help by exporting something and earning dollars. It will help in meeting some dollar demand by dollar hungry Nigerians.
Nigeria has an average inflation rate of 12% - 14%, if Reno does not understand what this means, I will explain. It means prices of goods and services are expecting to increase an average of 12 - 15% every year. This means prices of all goods including rice is expected to double every 7 to 8 years.
If we were to follow Reno 's logic, then Abacha was a superstar compared to Jonathan. During Abacha's period petrol was N11 per litre, dollar was about N30 per dollar and rice was less than N500 per bag.
I am not saying Buhari is performing well, but Reno and his party should learn to criticise intellectually instead of talking like garage touts. Reno knows very well that a majority of Nigerians are no better than unenlightened garage touts; even well educated Nigerians aren't left out and are just glorified illiiterates. Reno understands the capacity of his audience, that's why he comfortably dishes out these kind of analysis day by day. |

If you have been in the middle of friends arguing about this topic, you would have recognised that there are similarities between a chauffeur and a driver.
However, the similarities stop with the fact that they both drive. To give you a hint, the man behind the wheels in a Presidential car is a chauffeur. The man riding top businessmen to a conference is a chauffeur.
A Kabukabu driver is a driver.
Do these statements give you enough insights? Let me give you a more accurate explanation.
The Key Differences between a Chauffeur and a Driver
1. Anyone can be a driver; few can be called a chauffeur
If you drive yourself, you are a driver just the same way your personal driver is a driver. However, the man who is called a chauffeur doesn’t just drive himself; he is an expert in the field and they offer their service as real businesspeople because they are held responsible for their actions.
Chauffeurs are well-trained which is why they are hired to drive the crème de la crème.
2. They drive top quality vehicles
To some, this is the major difference between a driver and a chauffeur. But, it isn’t really the major difference. It is the result you get following the depth of knowledge and expertise you have in this chosen field.
3. They Offer Customer-centric Services
When was the last time you were abused by a danfo driver just because of a negligible amount of money? They are not really that customer-centric. They don’t have to be because they know they’ll sell whether they’re cool or not.
However, a chauffeur doesn’t have this mindset. First, a chauffeur rides the richest among the populace. Second, he/she is hired to offer a specialised service
https://autojosh.com/chauffeur-and-a-driver/ Lol... I cant remember when last I read this kind of rubbish on the front page of NL. Anyway, let me just add mine; chauffeur wears suit, driver wears kaftan or one dirty t-shirt for a month. |
