LordAdam16:"...the administration in 2011 had about 4,500 kilometres of fairly motorable roads, just as he explained that today [2015] the administration has about 25,000 kilometres of very good road...." From my calculation, you are saying 21500km of roads were reconstructed to VERY GOOD STANDARDS between 2011 and 2015; that's about 5 times the distance of a straight road from Lagos to London. These amount of roads were constructed in Nigeria but not a single one was in the SE or SS (at least these are my areas of movement where I can attest to if I see the roads)?... probably the 21,500km of very good roads were constructed by GEJ in the north only, or maybe to Chad?... 21,500km? Can someone please remind me the total length of Nigeria's entire road network?... If a person can believe the above statement, a person who lives in Nigeria and experiences Nigerian roads first hand can swallow this kind of statement above, then I dont think it speaks too well of the level of intellects of such a person. To answer your question, sections of the Abuja-Lokoja road were completed, there was rehabilitation of the Benin-Ore road, to mention a few.The Benin to Sagamu road is about 250km long, in 2014, the govt fixed a very bad portion on the approach of Ore which caused much nightmare to travellers; total lenght of the portion fixed was probably not up to 20km. So now I ask, how does fixing 20km out of a 250km dilapidated road translate into 'COMPLETING' the Benin - Sagamu project?... Or was my earlier question too difficult to understand? Meanwhile, all the above roads you mentioned as 'Complete' are still being worked on presently, the current admin is also working on the Abuja-Lokoja road and the Benin-Sagamu road. More importantly, road maintenance was a thing under GEJ with FERMA, especially on the interstates, well-plied routes. I don't see that anymore. So because GEJ left power, you now assume FERMA has been scrapped?... Is that how you hate this givt so much? Haba bros! If you cant go to FERMA website, you can visit their twitter page please. |
Omeokachie:I think my points were clear, I'm not sure why you don't understand them. There are different approaches to developing a large geographic space. You can choose to focus development on 1 or 2 areas and complete them, or you can choose to develop all areas simultaneous so that no single part of the country feels left out at any time. I dont need to remind you of the kind of multi-ethnic/multi-tribal/multi-religious/multi-regional country you come from. Even with the little bits of projects going on simultaneously everywhere, we still have large groups shouting to heaven that NO SINGLE development is happening in their domain. With that said, I dont need to explain to you why EVERY Nigerian government has no choice than to spread projects and execute them simultaneously even if this approach hinders the speed. Regarding the smaller projects, I suppose you didnt understand my grammar I spoke when I said they dont count. Of course the roads are important to those who use them, but when talking about achievements of a government, I wouldn't count a 5km road construction. |
Omeokachie:40km for 1 road, but I'm sure you saw there are up to 200 of such roads listed by the Op, and for the sake of evenly spread development across different regions/zones/states, all these projects have to be carried out simultaneously. I'm not trying to give excuses for slow pace of work, but you ought to take what I mentioned above into consideration, over 200 roads are being constructed at the same time and the '2kobo' budget has to be shared evenly around and that amounts to only little drops for each project per year. And yeah, some of the reasonably shorter roads would probably have been completed, but those ones dont count. |
McGriff:How exactly does receiving d**k make her win the money?... This one na pure konji curing matter, not exactly easy to be locked up indoors for 3 months with attractive people around; has nothing to do with the money. Just remove the cameras in that house and you will see all the ladies come out pregnant; infact due to the intensity of the orgy, some would come out with 2 pregnancies (2-babies, 2 fathers, 1 belle) ![]() |
Lol.. Rochas is actually the worst governor in the whole Nigeria according to the fried brains of his multitude of haters who severely hate him only because of party affiliations and his big mouth. Facts on ground however remains that besides his big mouth, he has more achievements on ground than all the other past governors since after Mbakwe. Hating is allowed. |
Omeokachie:Federal road projects are usually massive, they arent completed in a day; most times they span more than one tenure. If you think it's weird that all the roads are ongoing but none completed in 2.5 years, can you point out any examples of federal road projects which were completed within the preceding 5 years (2010-2015)? |
Maxigoody:I was born and I grew up in the delta all my life, and you sit far away and tell me what happens in my domain everyday is an isolated case? So much ignorance! ...Okay you are ipob, now I know exactly the reason behind your mentality. Have a good day. |
Maxigoody:Some youths (who arent even from an oil community) invaded shoprite in Warri, looted and destroyed the place. You claim it is because of Nigeria's federalism + hausa fulani + yorubas; I'm still waiting for you to explain the wisdom behind your assertion if there is any. Quit jumping about with irrelevant rants about politics and kindly explain the wisdom in justifying the actions of those youths. What you exhibit is the typical example of the backward mentality that has hindered development in thw Niger delta for decades and has chased away all potential investors to more peaceful and welcoming envirinments. Today the seaports and every other investment in the region is dead because of this same repulsive way of thinking. Yet you still think its a wise way to reason. Shameful thing you are even from the SE; why dont you go to your own village and burn properties of investors and chase them away since you believe it is a sensible thing to do in the delta region? |
What is peace corps? What is NSCDC? Probably another bribe taking force.. Nonsense! |
Abeg make una leave the man, life hasn't got duplicate. He needs to spend some time in sobriety to strategize on the next move; something he failed to do previously. What he started surprisingly snowballed into a massive movement greater than he could imagine; he wasnt mentally and physically and intellectually ready for the responsibilities which fell on his shoulders. Nothing wtong in stepping aside to plan. But pizza joint though! ![]() |
DMathematical:I agree! the problem of Nigeria has nothing to do with age of leaders, our problem rather is that we're led by a collection of clueless bandits. But then again, you will agree with me that younger set of 'good' leaders would add a certain level of vibrancy to leadership. |
Are Nigerian youths ready for leadership? The simple and short answer to this question is 'No! Nigerian youths arent ready for leadership.' In the 60's when youths were ready and hungry for leadership, they never waited for leadership to be given to them, they simply took it. And to date, those youths of the 60's still rule because the successive next generation of youth still arent ready or hungry enough for leadership. How I wish Lalasticlala or Seun or the other MODs can push this thread to the front page and the point Ibori is trying to make will be clearly seen from the responses. Majority of the responses will be in the line of "the older generation doesnt want to give power to the youths." And then of course, the next line of action will be a rain of curses thrown at the older folks, the messanger (Ibori) and at each other. Power is not given, it is taken; and the daY Nigerian youths realise this, that is the day the Nigerian youth would be ready for leadership. |
Maxigoody:I'm sure the lack of true federalism must be the reason why those miscreant youths in a community near warri (which has no drop of oil by the way) invaded and looted shoprite warri? Oh of course the youths are angry and irate because they have no jobs; government and shoprite gave them no jobs, infact they are the only youths across Nigeria who have no jobs so they are justified for invading and harrassing private businesses and investments, they are justified for attacking and extorting and looting goods from private businessmen who chose to import through the ports in the delta region. Today importers have fled the ports because of the high security/insurance costs of incured when using those ports but certainly, the Hausas and Yorubas are to blame. Keep defending, justifying and making silly excuses for irresponsibility and waywardness, you arent the first. The very results of this irresponsibility is before the eyes of everyone; investors and investments are avoiding the region like a plague but many are too blind to see the reasons; some others who aren't from the region and who have no clue what happens there (like yourself) are busy defending nonsensical behaviour. You claim I dont think deeply? I have truly seen a man who thinks deeply in you - Words of weird wisdom I have learnt today - true federalism wiĺl automatically end irresponsible behaviour. |
Victorakats:What is the violence about? Which groups are fighting? |
Maxigoody: Maxigoody:Please if I may ask, did you bother reading any single thing i wrote?... How or what exactly has this your comment got to do with the topic we are discussing?... or are you just trying to rant randomly irrespective of whether it's off topic or not? ![]() |
Maxigoody:As an importer, will you chose to get your goods to Warri or PH ports where you would be waylaid?.... You can keep ignorantly believing that the ports in the delta region arent functional without asking what made them unattractive to businessmen in the first instance. By the way, before you jump in and blame APC which only came into existence in 2013 (and got to power in 2015), why is it so difficult for you to see that PDP ruled Nigeria for 16 years, of which a man from the delta region was president for 5 years?... Suddenly APC is now the reason PH and Warri ports are dry?..m who even told you those ports arent functional, but the question remains, as a businessman, will you choose to import your goods through troubled waters?.. Keep blaming others! And the oil companies having their headquartered offices in Lagos state while their source of wealth is in the Niger Delta, how do u see that, fair? You should first of all ask yourself how and why that happened; it obviously wasnt the case about 20 - 30 years ago. So what happened along the line? Before we talk of being fair or u fair, better go enlighten yourself on why all the oil companies and other businesses (cos it isnt only oil companies) fled. It's not enough to just listen to uncooked theories from political beer parlour gists and then base your judgement on that. |
Maxigoody:Okay continue living in you mental incarceration which makes you blame everyone else but yourself for once for every single thing which goes wrong in your life. Hopefully even without looking inwards to correct your flaws, your perpetual blame game will one day perform miracles and solve your problems. For your info, Dangote just like everyone will buy the oil he will refine in his refinery. If the region did not support so much violence and unrest, if the people in the region like yourself do not glorify the incessant harassment of businesses and justify it with some silly excuses, not only will all the oil companies still be very happy to have their operational bases in the delta region, many other non-oil businesses would gladly locate their bases in the region. This is common sense, but I wonder why its so difficult for many to understand. A simple example is Shoprite which has established outlets all over Nigeria and Africa. The moment they stepped into Warri, within 6 months, a group of community miscreants who weren't even from Uvwie LGA where shoprite was located invaded the Delta city mall and ransacked and looted the place. Such is the kind of reprehensible behaviour you support and defend, and when other businesses refuse to step into the region, ignorant people will still run about and blame Yorubas, Hausas etc for people like Dangote refusing to site their refinery in the region. So yeah! Kontinuu! You can continue shooting guns, harassing businesses, frustrating every business in your land and hailing the perpetrators. When investors run away, you always have Yorubas and Hausas and the British and Obama to blame. Not long ago, Igbos were also included in the blame list for being succesful businessmen in the area, but thank God for 2015 elections, the blame game now largely excludes Ignos, it has now been narrowed. |
PDP gladly taking its pound of flesh... ![]() Quite amusing how the tables have turned. In 2014, exactly the same thing happened, over 200 girls were abducted, the next day the FG/military announced that those abducted had been rescued by an ever agile military team. Within 24 hours the story of rescue was debunked, it only happened to be that some of the girls escaped from their captors but the bulk of them were still taken away. APC at the time destroyed whatever was left of PDP, the PDP government then and their horde of jonathanian sheeple even had to coin the whole saga a propaganda to push out GEJ. To date, a lot of Jonathanians still do not agree that anyone was abducted from Chibok; some others who believe an abduction took place alleged that Buhari and ApC were the ones responsible for the kidnap and not BH. Fastforward to 4 years later and it's Déjà vu; PDP/Jonathanians now excitedly taking back their pound of flesh. I'm yet to see anyone of them allege that it could be the opposition responsible for this saga. |
LadyJackie:Simple! Someone should tell 'madam elder sister' that this is the price you have to pay to be popular and a celebrity. You will be judged by all an sundry until you lose your mind. |
Orubebe01:Disturbing photo and you dey laugh?... All these Orubebe people sef... ![]() |
omenkaLives:Some of those Jonathanians are the worst sets of shameless lowlives you can ever encounter. 2014, over 200 Chibok girls were taken by BH and they kept churning out all sorts of ridiculous utterances; "it is apc propaganda... no girls were taken... girls were taken but they were taken by apc agents and not BH... its all a plan/gang-up against GEJ; not even Obama was spared in the missiles. Up till today, a lot of those scumbags still genuinely do not believe that BH could have possible kidnapped up to 200 girls from Chibok. But fastforward to 2018, you need to go on facebook and read the kind of cringe worthy comments some tadpoles are publishing. They now all believe BH is real and capable of kidnapping many teens. None of them is blaming opposition this time like they did in 2014, rather they're all blaming PMB. In 2014, BH kidnapped girls, they blamed APC/Buhari of being responsible for the abduction to remove GEJ. In 2018, same Bh kidnaps girls again and I read the most ridiculous theory today from someone on Facebook; they said PMB/APC is also responsible for this abduction; that PMb/APC plans to release the girls just before electiom 2019. |
wristbangle:So you think a drone is G-O-D that can replace manned aircraft?.. smh! |
chyy5:Under GEJ, girls were also kidnapped, many more women and children were either abducted, raped and killed by the same bokoharam. I hope this your prayer also applies firstly to every man and woman and boy and girl that directly or indirectly supported GEJ in 2011 and/or supported GEJs re-election in 2015. Why dont you shout Amen!? |
hypnotic:You might not understand the spiritual and psychological impact of teaching false messages, no matter how little. Teaching people that tithing is a mandatory requirement to be in God's good books, you obviously do not know how many people are left in the perpetual bondage of guilt by this particular teaching; you do not know how many spirits are left broken everyday because they for whatever reason may not be able to afford giving off 10% of their meagre income. Then some end up squeezing themselves to give and lose the blessings they should have gotten because they end up giving grudgingly when trying to make it up to 10% The teachings of Christ are meant to bring peace to the hearts of men and not leave men in bondage of guilt; this is something Apostle Paul pressed on severely even when he taught that any giver should only give freely, whatever he makes out in his heart (i.e. not any specific percentage). You might think this is a trivial issue but do you know how many people who end up losing their blessings because of these prevalent "tithing is mandatory" teachings. A lot of the mandatory tithing preachers even subtly mock and judge those who cant give and those who speak otherwise of being tight-fisted or self-centred as you described it. We should be very careful not to preach heresies and claim it is the mind of Christ. |
mastermaestro:The bible says the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross has saved us from the burden of the law, but a lot of preachers (including yourself) preach otherwise. But the question which boggles my mind which no one has been able to answer is, why is it only the law concerning tithing that you choose to hold onto?... What about the other hundreds of laws? including those which prohibit men shaving side hair, the ones which prohibit wearing dual fabric garments, the ones which prohibit planting more than one seed in a garden, the ones which commans animal sacrifices etc. How is it that tithing is about the only law which most preachers still hold on tightly to even into the new covenant? |
NOETHNICITY:Lol.. I think he now acknowledges his error, hence the silence. |
The only international airports in Nigeria are Lagos, Abuja, PH, Enugu, Kano. Everything else is a shithole and I'm yet to understand why I should be bothered about shithole airports which have zero traffic being given an 'international' prefix. |
Madness in practice! A lot of people across Nigeria and Africa are in dire need of psychiatric help. But we always mask everything up under religion and spirituality. |
Maxigoody:Why is everyone asking this weird questiin and reasoning in this weird way?... Should Lagos state government spend Lagos state funds in building a seaport in delta state or river state or akwa ibom?.... Meanwhile Akwa ibom has since gotten approval to build Ibaka deep sea port, but instead of funding the project or searching for strategic partners to fund the project, Akwa-Ibom state government is committing N10billion to build a mega-church. Such fuckery exists amongst the leadership in the Niger delta but every single time it seems the blame game is always the sweetest response; blame all others except yourself for your problems. Abeg how exactly is it the fault of Lagos state, or the fault of Buhari or Fulanis that the Niger Delta ALWAYS elects shitty leaders? |
Odingo1:Lagos state government should use its money money to build a seaport in other states?... I think the shithole thing you mentioned is also affecting reasoning in many quarters. |
walter08:You want Lagos state government to use Lagos state money in building a seaport in another state? ![]() So many people have been asking this weird question and I'm still not sure I know where it's coming from. |
obynzo:The Lekki port is a Lagos state government's initiative and it is being built by the Lagos state government to improve the economy of Lagos state. Should Lagos fold its arms and halt its own development simply because other state governments chose not to do anything for their states? Meanwhile it appears most of the other ports you mentioned arent deep sea ports like this one, except for Ibaka. So in essence, the competition or comparison should be between Lekki vs Ibaka. But the now question is, what is Akwa-Ibom state government waiting for to commence Ibaka?... Approvals had been given ages ago but instead of commencing the Ibaka project or searching for investors to commit to it, Akwa-Ibom state government is rather spending N10billion to build a mega state owned church. Who really should be blamed for the above?... Lagos state government, FG or Akwa-Ibom state government?. |
