Error in speech? U really are a hypocrite. Has he so far corrected this error in speech? Has he given a contrary view and begged not to be misunderstood? Does he not have handlers, advisers? Hypocrisy does beget some people really.
When the issue was reported few days ago, I pointed out that it was simply an error in speech which would certainly be clarified after the backlash of his goof gets to his ears. Just like I said, the issue has now been clarified, he meant N2bn not $2bn; and that should have been common sense for any discerning mind especially when you consider that the entire bridge project itself is roughly just $300million.

You are obviously ignorant of the meaning of the word 'hypocrisy' which you spew about; people just learn a new word and throw it about without having a clue what it means.

That he outrightly lied is preposterous but then our journalists will not question them. We really have junk journalism in naija.
Saying that $2billion had been released for a project which everyone knows doesnt even cost up to $300million, only an unsmart person would not instantly realise that it was just an error in his speech, but would rather go about masturbating over a non-issue.

Why not just say Buhari built;

1. Lagos to Kano rail line
2. Kano to Maiduguri rail line
3. Sokoto to Calabar railway line with a spur to Abuja.
4. Lagos to Calabar railway line with a spur to Onitsha
6. Five new power plants at A, B, X,Y,Z
7. 20,000 housing units in each state capital
8. Concessioned five international airports to reputable multinational companies
9. Rebuilt and concessioned major expressways to reputable construction companies
etc , etc , etc,

You cannot say any of the above because Buhari's regime was not about development of Nigeria, it was about vengeance and turning Nigerians against each other.

Ofcourse, you can very well lie that all the above had been built because the APC goons are typically shameless fantastic liars. The fact you say them does not mean anyone believes you, we just know it's the same pitiful liars making fo0l of themselves thinking they are fooling Nigerians.

PoliticsRe: Pension Alert: Ex-biafra Police Officers Go Wild In Enugu by obailala(m): 5:18pm On Oct 21, 2017
KEVIND:
Another Lie, Buhari Approves Payment Of Pension To Biafran Ex-service Men.

By Charles Ogbu.

During the Biafran war, thousands of Igbos serving in the Nigerian armed forces switched over to fight on the side of their Biafran brethren. The then head of state, Yakubu Gowon announced their sack. The war was later won and lost.
When President Obasanjo came on board, he approved the conversion of the sack of Biafran ex-service men to retirement, making them eligible for pension and other benefits. That decision was officially gazzeted.
During the immediate past govt, the Otueke born Zoologist, President Jonathan, continued the payment of their pension in batches. In fact, Jonathan, it was, who made sure the ex-Biafran police and military men were treated as though they served 35 years on Nigerian side before retiring.
The report that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the payment of pension to Biafran ex-service men is nothing but one of those demonic propaganda for which the Buhari govt has come to be identified with.
What happened few days ago was that the office of the Pension Board known as PTAD stumbled upon 167 names, (just 167) of the Biafran ex-service men who were cleared since 2014 but yet to be paid.
Just 167

Buhari # ChildrenOfChange simply hijacked the story and went to the village CNN square with the very misleading impression that Buhari has approved the payment of pension to Biafran ex-service men.
What is Buhari's business with the routine duty of the Pension Board?
Why should any right thinking Igbo man or woman expect Ndigbo to roll out the drum for Buhari simply because the Pension Board stumbled upon the names of 167 Biafrans who were biometically cleared to receive pension years ago especially after what this same Buhari did to Igbo youths in Abia state few weeks ago with his supporter of APC army??
Have we suddenly lost our dignity as Ndigbo?
Why should we praise an ethno-religious bigot who was busy directing World Bank to his Northern region at the exact time he was directing his murderous army to our own region to kill, maim and drown us

COPIED.
This is at best, a very laughable attempt at rubbishing the recent development due to deep political bad belle. Just imagine the rubbish emanating from the Charles Ogbu bunkum, that "the pensions board just stumbled upon 167 names, (just 167) of the Biafran ex-service men who were cleared since 2014 but yet to be paid." They were cleared since 2014, biko why were they not paid?... Between the person who approved their payment on paper, swallowed the funds meant for their payment, and told them to go fvck themselves for over 3 years and the person who stumbled upon the anomaly and instantly paid them, who did better for the pensioners?...

Oh I forgot, it was actually a 'faceless' Pensions' Board that paid them and not Buhari; but according to the bitter slowpoke who authored this nonsense, if a drunk policeman slaps an okada man in Onitsha, na Buhari fault.

While you're still at it, the so called list also lists PH-Owerri road TWICE as an achievement of GEJ in Imo state. Everyone who knows that road knows it's still as bad as the Onitsha-Enugu road; but a human who prides in himself as being 'normal' has the boldness to insult someone for telling him the inclusion of that road is scandalous?... It's not enough for you to keep acting blind to those issues I raised, I challenge you to prove your intellects by addressing the points I've raised so far.

It's a silly thing expecting me to continue going through your scam list even when you haven't as little as made an attempt to address the issues I raised from your first paragraph. Now assignment no 1,

Provide counters to Kebbi state projects and others and prove how 90% are fake...
A silo is mentioned twice in a list, the first is mentioned as 'building of silo' and the second is listed as 'building of silos (100,000 capacity)'. But you obviously do not think a silo is a silo right? Your do not think there's anything unusual about mentioning the same thing twice right?... Then again the list mentioned the PH to Owerri road twice, firstly as Elele-Owerri and secondly as PH-Owerri, but even with that, this very road was never built but you have it as an achievement in your list and you call it hatred whrn I point out your devilish scam right?...

Meanwhile the Kebbi list says a railway was built in Kebbi, what dost thou have to say about that scam?... Please where is the railway built in Kebbi state located?... and he still had the boldness to ask me to counter Kebbi state?.. Jesus! Are you trying to pull my legs by feigning such level of ignorance?... I didnt even need to go beyond the first paragraph of your list to point out numerous dubious claims yet you think I should spend my precious time sniffing through the rest of your sham list?... You must really be that clown you first described me as...

That your assignment is rightly reserved for you. Next time before you come to public with your scam lists of achievements, the sensible thing to do is to vet your list properly cos not everyone you meet out there has the 'melu mentality' to swallow your nonsense scam without questions...

Nonsense.
I pointed out a road which concerns me, i.e. the PH to Owerri road. This road wasnt just placed in the list, it was actually dubiously mentioned in your scam list TWICE as 'Elele - Owerri road' and 'PH - Owerri road,' the same road mentioned twice and this is where it even gets more absurd; up until last year, nothing was done on that road and the road was still one of the worst roads in Nigeria. Its not my fault that you are too blind to see this example I have given repeatedly.. I've asked you severally to give me one sensible reason why I should bother going through the rest of the sham of a list but you've gone completely deaf on that question... Keep shamelessly defending your scam list of achievement and worshipping your oppressors.

KEBBI STATE:
* Establishment of new Federal University at Kalgo
* SURE P Project on Primary Health Care
* Construction of Almajiri school
* Provision of Improved Cotton seedlings free of charge for farmers
* Establishment of CBN cash office
* Building of Silos
* Establishment of a federal FM Radio
* Railway line
* Rehabilitation of federal roads
* Construction of new Library in Federal Unity Schools
* Construction of expert Crop Preservation & Conditioning Centre
* Construction of Silos (100,000 metric tones capacity)
Meanwhile without going into much work, I've just picked the first state on that list. Construction of silos have been mentioned twice obviously to pad up the list. Rehabilitation of federal roads sounds as vague as it comes, even the current govt can rightly claim to have also rehabilitated federal roads in every state of the federation too (hopefully you can see how empty that statement is). Then I'm a bit confused about the presence of a railway line in Kebbi state, maybe I'm just being ignorant of Nigeria's geography or maybe the railway was built in the sky.

Is it a lie or an honest mistake then? It seems you are now becoming pettier as the day breaks
I believe it was a mistake, and I explained why in my post - there's a point where an exaggeration becomes way too much and cannot be expected of a sane person; the only explanation then becomes that it was a mistake (which he would certainly be clarifying soon). Mentioning that $2biĺlion was released from the SWF account for a bridge which cost less than $400million, common sense tells me he simply mixed the figures; especially when you consider that it was just recently in the news that the SWF account has hit $2bn.

There's nothing petty about my comment; rather you're the one being petty by dismissing my opinion without giving it a thought... You obviously feel excited and prefer to declare that the prof is insane for saying $2bn was released for a project worth less that $400mn, that's the reason you feel disappointed in my comment for daring to spoil your fun.

It's public knowledge that the total cost for the 2nd Niger bridge is N117bn with the FG having to provide only N30bn as it us meant to be a PPP (never mind that Lagos Ibadan expressway is fully funded by the FG).

If reports today as seen on Nairaland front page that Osinbajo claims the FG has paid $2bn is true, one then wonders if the said sum is in US$ or Zim$. How can the FG release $2bn ie N776bn for a project that would cost N117bn of which the FG only has to pay N30bn?

Has Osinbajo joined the league of liars?

cc: Lalasticlala
There's a difference between a lie and an honest mistake. 2 things to note; (1) The 2nd Niger bridge isn't even up to $1billion and (2) The entire sovereign wealth fund just recently hit $2billion. The VP obviously mixed up his figures, and after the expected backlash by tomorrow, his spokesperson would definitely be giving a clarification. grin

Those were the exact words you tagged me when I asserted that majority of the so called 'GEJ achievements' on that list were either fake or just a bunch of uncompleted projects or even projects that never kicked off (e.g. the PH to Owerri road), or just mediocre projects labelled with big names.

You called me a terrible person for pointing out the scam in the list to you, so in the spirit of your 'mediocrity endorsement', I decided to play your game by pointing out similar examples of projects started or signed for by Buhari. -Construction of the Largest power plant in Nigeria (Mambilla hydro dam)

See cnn report.

CNN) South African President Jacob Zuma visited Nigeria's Imo state on Friday and had a giant bronze statue unveiled in his honor, a decision that has caused outrage in some parts of the country.

The two-day visit happened just as South Africa's Supreme Court ruled that President Zuma should face corruption charges.

Zuma visited Governor Rochas Okorocha in Owerri in a surprise visit that was only announced the same day by the South Africa presidency.

As well as the statue, Zuma was given a chiefaincy title and had a road named after him.

Local media reported that the cost of the statue was around 520million Naira -- equivalent to $1.4 million.

Okorocha also conferred on Zuma the Imo Merit Award, the highest award the state gives to distinguished individuals.

As he unveiled the statue, Okorocha said: "We have decided to honor you for your love for education, though you were deprived in your early days in life but you are working to make sure that every poor child went to school.

"Your love for education to us is the connection between you and government and the people of Imo State."

Okorocha and President Zuma also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will provide free education for poor children on the continent, according to local media reports.

Nigerians have weighed in on Twitter expressing their opinions on the statue of Zuma

That's why I consider Tuface back out from the would've been political movement of all time in Nigeria as the greatest betrayal of all time.

Believe me if i have my way I will take many politicians down in this country.
The revolution which should have been started by Kanu was ruined from the onset when it was made a tribal thing; not only was it was restricted to a single tribe and made to look like it concerned only a single tribe, the foundation of it all was built on spewing insults and spreading hate against other big tribes.

With the way Nigeria is built, there's no major political feat that a single tribe can achieve on its own, not even the north with its large population can win an election without support from other regions. Similarly, there's no revolution that can take place in Nigeria if it's conducted by just one tribe without support from other tribes. Nigeria's problem has always been an issue of the elite vs the masses, it's never really been an issue of one tribe vs the other, and to a large extent, the things suffered by the common man in the SE is also suffered by the common man in the SW, SS and all over the north. There's no way the revolution against the rogue elite rulers can be done without it cutting across tribes.
